I would never order cakes online from this place again, nor would I put in an order for pickup again. I ordered two cakes online for my boys' First Communion. I needed to pick them up at 10am in order to make it to the church on time. I received two email confirmations indicating that my order was received, and would be ready. The cakes were not ready. I was extremely disappointed that not only were they not ready, but the people at the bakery were still hurriedly decorating it at 10:20am! I believe they just forgot and overlooked my order. The cakes were done in such a hurry that the name was incorrect on the first one. And to top it all off, the gift certificate that I was given to apologize for their complete lack of organization expired in 2012! It was over 3 years old. Geez.... read more

I heard about this place opening, but could never find this place until last week. The location is somewhat hard to find in the Tralee area off Dublin Blvd. Anyway, after going in I saw they had samples of the lemon bundt cake. OMG so good. After a sample, we ended up getting a lemon bundt cake and a double chocolate one. The cakes were nice and sweet, but not overly sugary. Very soft and the icing made it amazing. The only other place that could even compare is Sprinkles cupcakes, but then again it would feel like comparing apples to oranges. Pathetic customer service. The lady snatched the bundlet away . While placing the order , I had explicitly informed the owner lady that I have a birthday coupon which I would like to use to purchase the bundlet. I was asked to bring the ID proof and birthday email . Today before going to pick up the ordered cakes, I also called up to ensure that the cake is ready and also to tell them that I am sending my husband to pick up the cakes. I was reminded to send the ID proof and birthday email with my husband . When he went to pick up the cakes, the lady(owner) literally snatched the bundlet away saying she will not issue it unless the birthday person is present. My husband called me and I tried to speak to her directly and also reminded her that I had given them a call at 1:57PM PST. She said it could be one of her uninformed staff who attended the call and gave instructions and said firm no to me as well. She asked me to come later and pick the bundlet. My husband drove 8miles in the noon from Bernal to Dublin , only to pick the cakes. The owner was absolutely in courteous and rude to him and to me over the phone .She has managed to spoil the special experience Nothing budnt cake has offered us . Sunnyvale NBC used to be awesome and we are loyal customers since 2014. Went into today for a birthday cake for my Mom and LOVE this place now! There were samples of their pumpkin spice flavor out, which were so incredibly moist and delicious...too bad I only grabbed one sample! For the b-day cake, I got my chocolate-loving Mom the 8" Chocolate Chocolate Chip decorated with the 'nothing but drama' piece (a pretty purple flower basically); she absolutely loves it! I would give 5 stars, the issue is consistancy... I gave four because majority of the time it has been on the spot! yummy!! moist, frosting never too sweet, just enough chips... my favorites are the carrot cake, red velvet and a few others that I have tried that are yummy too. I had no clue this cute little bakery existed in the East Bay! Nor have I ever heard of it until I yelped for pastries for an upcoming tea party I was attending with some of the ladies at work. I had 2 days before the tea party day, I had no time to bake anything, so I found Nothing Bundt Cakes! I ordered a red velvet cake (of course) had it decorated, and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT!! I didn't want to eat and ruin it looking so adorable in the clear bag! So as I was going back to my car, my alarm kept going on for some reason, I couldn't start it, nothing. The ladies from Nothing Bundt Cake came to check if everything was okay, despite the fact my car alarm kept going on in front of their shop, lol, they were really friendly and helpful about it. They let me bring the cake back in since it was a VERY scorching hot day, and got a hold of the people I needed to help me with my car. Thankfully, everything was okay! I really appreciated all their help and their kindness from my technical issues that after the tea party, I decided to order another one that same day for my parents' anniversary gift! All all I can say is RED VELVET. It's moist and delicious. This place was one of the first tenants in Tralee Plaza and it's a blessing to the other retails stores because it does get a lot of foot traffic. People love coming here and so do I. What prompted me to patron this bakery was because I needed precut slices of cake for a college aged birthday in L. A. I picked up one 15 bundlets and they were each in individual container, easy to travel with. They offered a "punch card" program but the employee didn't tell me about it. I could've gotten one for free which was $3.99, not cheap. I got various flavored and the consensus was white chocolate raspberry and the chocolate chocolate chips were the favorite. Cakes were very moist and the cream cheese frosting was a bit on the too sweet side. I was there again today but only to pick up 3 bundlets. (At least that was the intention) It's a small BD party (3 people). The employee named Maria greeted me and was just pushy and overbearing!!! I was overwhelmed with all the different options that she told me about, 8" cake, cake towers etc etc. I needed a few minutes to look thru the huge catalog but she was down right rude. We love this place. It is a go to for birthday cakes and special occasions. Today, my daughter and I decided to swing by and grab a cake for Easter. We got to the location early and were the 2nd customers in the shop. We got to try 2 different samples and both were delicious. We went with the white-white chocolate (my daughters choice). When we moved to nearby Pleasanton I was thrilled that there was a Nothing Bundt Cakes nearby! In LA, there were never any locations near to where I lived but when I lived in the Chicago burbs I loved getting cakes from here. We've already been here twice in less than two weeks and it's just truly SO good. I was visiting new friends and got one of their bundlets packages and they wrapped it with a cute flower and ribbon.
