OREO® Cookies & Cream Bundtlet Strawberries & Cream Bundtlet
    Jennifer J.

I love the bundt cakes here!! My absolute favorite is the lemon raspberry and I always enjoy getting a free bundtlet for my birthday. We decided to get some Bundt cakes since my boyfriend saw they had a new cookies and cream cake, so of course, we had to try it. Tbh, it had good flavor, but was really dry. What saved it was the cream cheese. Without that, I definitely would never buy it again. The strawberries and cream was super moist and had great flavor. It's definitely one to try if you haven't yet. Overall, I always enjoy coming here to devour their cakes.

Yummy! A little expensive, but worth it for special occasions. Their gluten free cakes are delicious and so are the other flavors.

The cookie crust adds just the right amount of crunch and a slightly toasted sweetness that complements the creamy filling without overpowering it. It's decadent but not overly heavy, making it dangerously easy to keep going back for another slice. The tres leches cake, on the other hand, offers a completely different but equally satisfying experience. It's light, airy, and incredibly moist, soaked in a blend of three milks that give it a delicate sweetness without feeling soggy. Each bite is soft and almost cloud-like, with a subtle vanilla flavor that pairs beautifully with the whipped topping. It's refreshing rather than rich, making it the perfect dessert when you want something sweet but not overwhelming.

I really wanted to enjoy my first visit because I had heard good things about this place. When I…read morecame in, I explained that it was my first time and asked what cheesecake they would recommend for someone trying them for the first time. I was asked what I felt like eating, and when I said I wasn't sure and was really just looking for a recommendation, the response was, "Well, if you don't know what you want, how do I know what you want?" I felt a little taken aback by that. I wasn't expecting anyone to know my personal taste--I was simply hoping to hear what their most popular or signature cheesecake was. I decided on the blackberry cheesecake. This is completely a matter of personal preference, but it wasn't what I expected from a homemade-style blackberry cheesecake. The texture and flavor reminded me more of an instant or prepared cheesecake-style dessert than the rich, slightly tangy cream-cheese flavor I personally associate with cheesecake. I also couldn't really detect much blackberry flavor or fruit in it. I don't necessarily need blackberry seeds, but I would have enjoyed some blackberry pulp, small pieces, or a stronger real-fruit flavor. There was also a piped topping on the cheesecake that I expected to taste like whipped cream, but to me it tasted more like a prepared frosting. Again, that's simply how it tasted to me and others may absolutely prefer this sweeter, smoother style. My biggest disappointment was really the overall first-time experience. When someone says they've never been to a business before and asks for a recommendation, I think that's a great opportunity to introduce them to what you're most proud of or what customers order most often. I understand that taste is very subjective, and judging by the people who enjoy this business, their cheesecake clearly has an audience. It just wasn't the homemade, cream-cheese-forward, real-fruit style of cheesecake I was expecting, and the customer-service interaction unfortunately didn't make my first visit feel particularly welcoming.

It's in an old part of Arlington, the building itself fits right in with the area. That's not a bad thing, but don't expect some clean cut, smooth concreted parking lot with fancy equipment inside. They do well for being in an older part of town. Conchas, we enjoyed them! My favorite was whatever this strawberry roll cake was, soft & fluffy. They have a lot of options, I only wish they would label the pastries. There were some empanadas but we couldn't tell what was what & didn't want to be one of those people that cracked one open, because trust me, someone did on one of the trays. They have a refrigerated section, we'll probably try the flan next time too. The cakes are gorgeous, I can't comment on the taste... no need to get one for just the two of us. Prices are very good, yes, they take cash only. I saw someone said they take Zelle but I didn't look. I'm not mad about it though, it's a small business... they'd get charged for credit card usage. I don't know if everyone understands that & if cash only works for them & they continue to do well... I'll keep bringing cash! Very sweet employees! Go here, grab a snack to enjoy. Also, there's not really a place where you can sit & chat for hours with friends but give them a try for some yummy treats!

There was a bit of a line but it went reasonably quickly. Upon entry, you grab a tray and tongs, then make your way down the line of self-serve enclosed glass cases with shelves of fresh good. We chose a savory breakfast sandwich, an Almond Croissant and another sweet pastry. In line, the offered to heat our sandwich which we allowed. Then we ordered coffees, paid and sat down. A few minutes later, we walked back up to collect our coffees. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, though the ham and cheese in the center of the sandwich was untouched by the heating process. Next time, we'll ask for a longer heating cycle. The pastries were good. Not as good as made that morning in Paris, but better than most places we've been in the US. We also took some dessert pastries home for later that same night. My wife's was sort of ho-hum but mine was fabulous. I had what I guess would be a cro-nut?? Sort of like a doughnut that was made in layers of pastry, then cut out with a donut cutter. It had a filling in the center and had a sugary coating. SO GOOD! We'll be back to Paris Baguette and we'll try other items and for sure, we'll ask for our heated items to be heated a bit longer.

Driving up it's a regular storefront but once you step in it is super cute. There is some tables for you to sit at and they have a corner with a few games that you can play with whomever you go there with. I liked the fact that they have several different flavors of mochinuts and also have corn dogs and milk teas. This visit I only ordered a half dozen of the mochinuts: regular, churro, strawberry, cookies & cream, chocolate, and funnel cake. Every one I've tried so far (I took a small piece from several) was delicious! The texture was perfect. The flavor was not overly sweet and actually matched perfectly with what they were said to be and they felt like they had the perfect bite to them. The service was also very quick and the person behind the counter was very nice and courteous. I'll definitely be making this my mochi spot and I'm excited to try their milk teas and corn dogs when it's time to grab a fun snack. I hope you check them out too!

I love when you can get quality without feeling like you overspent. I ordered the 3-piece (which lets you pick any three flavors) and went with creme brulee, salted caramel, and strawberry. Every single one was soft, fresh, and full of flavor but that salted caramel... . Whew hands down my favorite. What really makes this spot stand out is how they switch up their mochi menu every month. That's honestly genius to me because it keeps things exciting and gives you a reason to keep coming back and trying something new. While I was there, I noticed quite a few people coming in for their drinks, and I'm not even going to lie they looked amazing. Definitely on my list for next time. Safe to say, I WILL be circling back. FlavorChaser Approved
