Great friendly staff. I love coming in when their cakes are fresh because it smells up the whole place and it smalls so dang good! I've tried the chocolate and lemon flavors. Personally, it's a bit sweet for me because of the cream cheese topping. I wish they didn't put so much. It definitely gives it a pretty cute design though. Overall, cake is delicious and I love how it's so fluffy! But the cream cheese topping just kinda brings it over the top when it comes to flavor/sweetness. Everyone has different taste buds though. I was hosting a casual dinner meeting and needed a dessert. No time to bake! Also, it was too hot to bake! Then I remembered NBC (no, not the TV network). Turns out they have a little parking lot to the right of the front door. I was in and out in just a few minutes. I usually serve a chocolate dessert, but I decided on the raspberry swirl for a change of pace. The cake was handed to me in a lovely box (good to know for future potlucks). The gal in charge advised me to take the cake out of the fridge about two hours before serving, and that's what I did. It was pretty to look at, and moist and delicious. Returned today for 2 10-inch undecorated Bundt cakes. I got chocolate chocolate chip and red velvet. Two gentlemen were behind the counter, they worked well together - one took my order and payment, while the other boxed them up. I am on heavy lifting restrictions, so I told them I would carry one box out at a time. One gentleman immediately offered to carry both boxes to my car - he didn't even asked where I parked. When you enter the store, just head straight to the left hand side... THAT'S WHERE THE DELICIOUS SAMPLES LIVE. It's not a tiny sample either but a very generous bite topped with their signature icing. There was only one time where they had failed to have samples but it was 5 minutes prior to closing so it was totally understandable. I love love love these cakes. Time and time again they have been moist and soft. The first time I tried the red velvet I was delightfully surprised by the chocolate chips embedded within the cake. The mild crunch really adds to the soft texture of the cake. Another favorite of mine is the chocolate chocolate chip. Sign up for their email list! Not bad for a cake! Its quirky shape does somewhat add to its appeal. Parking: Private lot behind the building I'm not really aware of the price, since I came in for the first time because of a coupon for a free bundtlet (mini bundt cake). I tried the mocha one they had for samples and loved it, so I made that my bundtlet of choice. I realize this is a chain, but one thing they could definitely improve heavily upon is the frosting decoration. Visually, it ruins what is otherwise a very good, well-baked cake. The frosting job at Nothing Bundt Cakes makes me think a fleet of albino jellyfish took over the store, decided to feed on bundt cakes for sustenance, and then decided to die on top of each one from diabetes. It's one thing to be distinctive as a marketing brand decision, but given they are the only name that most people even know as bundt cake sellers, I think you could go with a little more creative license/frosting subtlety. read more

Have had their cake a few times at work which was purchased by a co-worker. I had a chance to go into their Pasadena store to actually buy a cake which was for one of our co- workers birthday. My experience at the store was great. The lady was nice and answered all my questions. They were out of the Lemon cake in the front display so she went to the back to get one. The cake is very delicious, soft, fresh, and moist. I personally do feel though their is way to much frosting on the cakes but maybe next time I can tell them to put easy/light frosting. They had samples in the front which was good, I had a chance to try a few different flavors. I do feel that the cakes are a bit on the pricey end for what you get. Super easy to order over the phone! I've bugged them maybe 3-5 times over the course of two days (sorry!), with order cancellations and changes and etc. Every time, they picked up the phone within 2 rings, which I really appreciate. When NBC (lol) first opened in Pasadena, they brought over 10" bundt cakes to our office, since we're a couple blocks from their office. I thought that was a really nice way to kind of "spread their business" in the area, and definitely keeps them in mind for office celebrations and functions. They brought over a lemon cake, and it was delicious and moist! We ordered a marble cake some time after that as well, and same consistency of quality. They do delivery, and it starts at $13 (for the less frugal offices in town, lol). Parking for South Lake Ave. could be a bit of a beezy though, so I definitely understand wanting to opt for the delivery option. Street parking is all paid parking, but if you try hard enough and don't mind walking, there are plenty of street parking and the Pavilion's lot that you can park and walk to the store. read more

I ordered 24 hours in advance. I asked for the decor to not be so girly and they actually had a "manly cake." It had a brown flower bow with a picture of a guy lifting a barbell and a note saying "Real Men don't eat round cakes." I was told the smaller bundt cake feeds 8-10 people. Their red velvet has little chocolate chips in them and the signature frosting isn't too sweet. My favorite bundt of them all you ask? The white chocolate raspberry!!! As recommended by the bakery, I placed my order (1 dozen minis), with present toppers and a happy birthday flag. On the yelp photos and the website, the minis were pre-decorated and in a taller box to accommodate the decorations and that was what I was expecting. However, when I arrived, the staff showed me the mini's and they were in a flat box and missing the toppers. When I noted this, they simply went into the back and taped a plastic package of toppers to the box. I was pressed for time and I'm kicking my self for not throwing a fit then and there. Given the time we are in and the fact that they were a gift there was no way I could give them to my friend decorated as I would have had to break the seal and the box was too short and would have smashed the decorations. So I had to give a sadder looking present and am stuck with some useless decorations that I could have bought at the grocery store or target for 3 dollars, but instead paid 7 extra dollars for. When I called the store later the woman said it was my fault for not specifying that I wanted the toppers placed on the minis and to specify that next time. I told her there would be no next time. What would have made it right would have been a refund of the 7 extra dollars for a service/product that was not executed. read more

I have been going to the Manhattan Beach shop for a while but this little gem so close by is wonderful. Today was my first time walking into the Pasadena store. The women were SUPER hospitable offering samples and suggestions. This shop is ADORABLE...it is the cutest i have seen so far. I love all the little touches like offering candles in case you forgot to pick up candles at the store. I love thoughtful considerate details like that. Went here to pick up my sisters birthday cake and when I got here the young man in the front was so rude. He had the worst attitude. I asked for a bottom box for my order and he told me all he could give me was a bag. I'm sorry I spent 40 bucks on a cake and you won't give me a box so that the wrap won't smash the icing? So rude. Of course the wrap around the cake did ruin the icing on the drive home. What's even more rude is he gave the lady in front of me a box to hold her cake! The whole point of getting this Christmas Bundt cake was because it was decorated cute but the way they package it with the plastic wrap around ruins the icing on the Bundt cake.
