My daughter requested a Nothing Bundt Cake for her 19th birthday so I called on a Saturday morning to determine if I could order a cake and pick it up the same day. The associate not only mentioned that I could definitely order and pick it up on the same day but she also mentioned that they normally have a few cakes in store ready for purchase on a first come first serve basis, which I thought was very convenient. The online ordering process was super simple. I ordered the 8" Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake with the signature frosting petals. There were a few other frosting options to choose from but I like traditional frosting style. There were about 30 sentiment flags to choose from as well so I chose the cute "Happy Birthday" sentiment flag. I selected the pick up time and paid for the cake. The whole process took maybe 5 mins. I arrived at 4pm, which was the pick up time I selected, and was greeted by the wonderful associates. The cake was ready as soon as I arrived. Since we weren't going to eat the cake until that Sunday, I kept it refrigerated over night and it tasted just as great when we ate it the next day. I had already left a positive review of Nothing Bundt Cakes somewhat recently but I want to update my review to include what they are doing during these difficult COVID quarantine times. They are still offering their delicious cakes, with custom decorations via pre-order and curbside pickup. My birthday was yesterday, 30 April 2020, and they made it really special. I had a princess themed pink large lemon bundt cake with a mini bundt tower of three with seasonal flavor Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon again (bc why not?) and White Chocolate Raspberry. The decor was adorable on my princess cake with a pink paper blossom and a pink princess hat with little flags and my mini tower had a pretty bow and flower on it. Both were wrapped and packaged well. Pick-up was easy as pie with a curbside service where they brought it all out to the car (in the rain) and transferred it. I also got a package with cake plates, candles for decor, and a birthday-themed mug and glass plate! Everything was so cute but the really important part was that these cakes were exactly as they usually are, moist and fresh and delicious with to-die for buttery icing. YUM. I love the coupons they send out during every season because who wouldn't want a BOGO or specially priced Bundlets? The location on Laskin Road is a nice small shop. They usually are fully stocked on Bundlets so walking in and finding one you want isn't that hard. There are many different personalities when it comes to the workers at the store (which is expected). This did not happen in my most recent visit but there was a BOGO on Bundlets and I used my code and I also used my Fiancés code to get Bundlets and I put them under the same name since I am the one picking them up after work. I wish I could remember the managers name but she was extremely nasty to me because I was picking up Bundlets and said it was one coupon per customer. She did let me pick them up but she said "next time I will cancel your order." I mean it wasn't that serious so as a respectful customer I said okay. So from there on I go with my fiancé and we both pick them up so that way we don't get any more nasty attitude. This visit the employee working the register gave me a punch card for bundlets and buntinis. Nothing but Bundt threw open their doors three weeks ago and WOW have customers responded! I get it now after sampling the red velvet in the store. They are located in the La Promenade shopping center off Laskin. I took home a beautiful 10 inch Red Velvet plated and ready to to be boxed. Customer service is top notch! I've never personally gone to the actual store until today but I've had their cake several times. First off, I didn't realize it was going to be Mother's Day weekend (because my order was a pickup for a birthday) and that they are closed on Sundays so there were lots of cars waiting for curbside pickup and additional cars in the parking lot due to the pandemic. I got a dozen bundtinis but only realized that they were not frosted until getting home. (I did not request no frosting.) I called to make sure it wasn't a default that they came with no frosting and the person that picked up said they should've been frosted unless requested not to be. Ermergerd! Nothing Bundt Cakes has finally made their way to this side of the tunnel, ya'll! I couldn't help myself and pay them a quick visit after an appointment I had just across the way from them. The store is beautiful! Located in La Promenade next to Talbots, the sidewalk is spacious and cute. Plenty of parking as it's the shopping strip and very clean. You can also enjoy your treat on the patio weather permitting. Kayla was there to help me and she's so sweet and helpful. She let me take pictures and just soak in the experience. Even offered to take my picture with my purchase! LoL!!! Finally the anticipated arrival of NBC in Va Beach has finally opened! Okay so don't judge me, but this place was down the street from the gym I was working out at, so I figured to stop in since I was in the area lol.
