This is an overall rating. I have gone 3 times. The first time was when they first opened, and it was 1 star with service alone. The second time I went, it was 4 stars. The food was delicious, my server was ON IT! He brought our food piping hot and the chefs did their thing. The third time I went, it was a 2, We were politely greeted and our food tasted good, but the service was not good. It was like our server was distracted. The restaurant was not even full. When I see servers on phones, just milling around, it is frustrating. To top it off, there were about 3 instances were a server dropped all the dishes and things broke, multiple loud commotions. What I find is that there is something missing in the training. When the service is that bad, it distracts from the high quality food and customers cannot enjoy themselves. I love supporting black owned businesses. We just have to do better. As someone who worked for major restaurant groups, customer service is paramount. We were constantly monitoring, giving free desserts or apps when we knew we got stuff wrong. We had to ask multiple servers to find our server or bring us food and condiments. I don't mind a team effort but people have to monitor their tables or ask someone else to support. We were literally flagging people down. read more

Been riding passed this restaurant for months and finally on Father's day I was able to check it out. I should have kept riding! Don't let the outside of the building fool you, this place is a club and not a regular restaurant. Arrived to be surprised by people waiting at the front door to get in. Front door was locked and security was standing there. We were asked about our reservation then asked to wait while he checked. He then returned to let us in and we were escorted to a table by the bar by the hostess. Asked if we could be seated in a booth and was told that booth seats are only for customers with bottle service. Wait what?? Food: Ordered Cajun seafood and grits. It was supposed to include salmon, shrimp and crab for $26. Buddy had the chicken club for $16. Both were disappointing. There was no crab in my glass, barely any salmon and only 3 shrimp. For this type of $$$ there should have been at least 5 shrimp in the glass. The chicken club was made using cheap white bread with a small chicken breast. What type of sit down restaurant gives their customers plastic forks to eat expensive food? Atmosphere: Loud music and it became even louder once the DJ arrived. The server could barely hear our order. Message to owner and restaurant manager: Please decide if your operating a restaurant or a night club but please stop mixing the two together. Very confusing for customers to arrive and find a security guard at a locked door. Customers should never be asked to wait outside in the heat. If your going to charge almost $30 for a plate of food please don't cheat your customers.....give us what we are paying for. Hardly any salmon, only 3 shrimp and no crab in my dish. For the high prices we deserve more than cheap plastic utensils to eat with. Please stop playing music so that your customers can hear. Was not impressed and will not return. I am SOOOO happy that I found out about this place. I live in Jonesboro in a VERY nice, quiet, clean and peaceful neighborhood. Only problem is; whenever I want some nightlife, I ALWAYS have to drive 45 minutes up to the Atlanta city area for great restaurants. Where to start? If I'm being honest...With prayer. First, the reservation site kept giving error messages, not allowing us to book a reservation. Upon arriving, the hostess' were rather rude. They would cut us off mid sentence without hearing the question(s) at hand. We gathered that even though several people were waiting outside & there wasn't anyone in front of us on the app-- something was wrong with the system. My friend and I decided to opt for bar seating after waiting 20 mins since it was first come first served and it didn't seem as if they had things together in regards to seating priority. I will say, two stars were awarded instead of one due to our bartender, Joy/ Jocelynn. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and had a go-getter spirit as she helped multiple guests simultaneously. As well as Chef Mike who did his due diligence to remake my cold undercooked lamb chops and cold sides. Yes. Medium rare chops, cold mac, a cold two teaspoons of corn. Thankfully Chef Mike took the reigns on the re-fire -- lamb was fine & sides were warm. I even got the correct portion of corn this round. Gnats are another negative-- prior to the side door being opened several of the guests including ourselves were swatting! It's a work in progress all around. So my friends and I came in on a Wednesday around 12:30. We were a party of 7 and were immediately informed that we couldn't sit together unless we were willing to sit on the patio that was not heated and it was 40+ degrees outside. **Note: There were only two other customers inside the entire restaurant We were instead seated at tables inside that were next to each other but at least 6-8 ft apart. We then asked if we could push the tables together, and we were told that they didn't do that. **We were charged 18% gratuity because our "party" was 5 or more people, but we couldn't sit together ** Then we were told that we couldn't eat off the lunch menu. The dinner menu was the only thing that was being served. When I asked what time they normally served lunch, the response was that she didn't know. They were only serving dinner, and the lunch and dinner menu were the same. I asked what was the point of having a lunch menu then. She said that would be a question to be asked to the owner. I was never told who the owner was or if they were even available. I asked the waitress (Jazman) again to clarify the points I made mention of just to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding what was being said. We were told that there was no heat on the patio. That the restaurant was only serving the dinner menu. That we could not push the tables together. Needless to say, the food was the star of the show. Everything came out hot and fresh. I tried this spot on a Friday late afternoon. A line was starting to form so I can imagine it gets pretty busy. Be sure to make reservations! The inside is eclectic, with garage doors that open for fresh air. It used to be a fire station, I like how they've converted it. I ordered the honey wings with waffle fries , they were good. The building had once been the "Jonesboro Firehouse" and then it was the "Old Firehouse Museum;" Afterward a guy was developing it for a beer brewery but politics got in the way and he bailed. Ebony and her team re-designed the spot with a neo-futuristic feel. Hubby and I had fun chatting about the freedom of skin-tight bottom attire of the service staff, lol, that is what we comfortably do after so much good life within matrimony... some may be a little uncomfortable though if they are in new relationships, there is plenty of eye-candy on the staff male and female. Eyes will wander. Anyway, on my anniversary - I ordered the seafood on grits in a margarita glass. Filling for sure. The grits reminded me of "maseca" inside of Mexican tamales, I ate half on site and took the remainder home to have with scrambled eggs Sunday morning. To be honest, that Shrimp Po'Boy from Friday night, was the TRUTH! I think that will be my go-to, the creature of habit that I am. The fries are delicious, I would not mind having them every time I visit. The husband enjoyed the salmon with mashed potatoes. He was able to eat most but enjoyed the remainder with breakfast the next morning too. For drinks, he had a Blue Moon on draft and I had a Slip and Slide since we were not driving. This place has EVERYTHING. You want to socialize with one friend or many? Make a reservation 24 hours in advance and get the place the way you want it. Walk in, literally from the street and you will likely get a good spot within a very reasonable time on most occasions. Take out? The food is delicious hot, warm, cold, next day, and so on.
