Do not hesitate about a Meditteranean place in the 'burbs. Nova is very good: fresh food, helpful staff, clean table area (very casual). If you want something for lunch that won't be full of fat and grease, then I recommend both the falafel and gyros. Jaime also has it right - the Yia Yia fries are damn good. Daaaaayyyyuuuummmm good. Once again, I went to the Nova Mediterranean Grill, this time at 11 o'clock on September 21. This restaurant is very clean and the food is very healthy I think. I wanted something light so I went with pita chips and a cucumber dip as well as coffee, which the counter person made fresh for me and my partner (very appreciated). The help is very polite and nice I must add. On to the food......the chips were light and crunchy and the dip was very refreshing! It had julienned slices of fresh cucumber in it and a nice tangy flavor. This is a casual type café where you place your order at the counter and then wait for your order. There is a seating area with small tables and chairs and a serve yourself drinks area. Another interesting thing in this restaurant is the garbage area which is "green". In other words, there are different trash receptacles such as "compost", "trash", "recycle" and "unsure"........So all in all......five stars all around! read more

Yet another solid eating option right on the university's campus (and thus super-convenient for visiting friends at the school). I found the order and preparation process simple and quick-- very similar to Chipotle, where you order and tell them the extras you want. Get the chicken gyro and put whatever toppings you need on it. The chicken is shaved right off the rack and put on the grill for a minute or two before being delivered to your pita and toppings-filled sandwich. They do overstuff the gyros, so be prepared for chicken to fly everywhere (not that I'm complaining!). Good for eating in-- haven't tried delivery. read more

If you have celiac or need to eat gluten-free, DO NOT EAT HERE. The staff do not understand how to properly prepare the food to be gluten-free like putting bread on top of the GF food and using the same utensils to touch the GF food and bread. I'm new to the area and some of my husband's colleagues suggested coming here. It was delicious! My husband and I each ordered a chicken gyro wrap and an order of yia yia's fries. I've never had a chicken wrap like this anywhere else. It's cooked on a rotisserie and is seasoned to perfection. And this wrap is big. I would've been full just off this alone. Love the concept, especially directing what you want on your pita wrap. They gave generous amounts of chicken and have an extensive topping selection. But, its too expensive, with tax a pita and small drink was $9.49. My sandwich also fell apart into a big mess, because they heated the chicken up in hot water and made it soggy - gross. I would rather they heated it up in a microwave, but why not put it on a hot grill or whatever for a few seconds. Middle Eastern food is my absolute favorite. I was so thrilled when Nova Grill opened up because there aren't many places to get falafel and hummus in this area, but I must say that for the price, you are better off traveling a few miles down the road to Hummus. The husband and wife that run Nova Grill are super sweet, but for a place right next to a college, they've got to be a bit more reasonable. I ordered a regular salad with a few falafel balls on top and it was over $10. Not that $10 is crazy expensive, but if you can get a $5 salad from Campco next door, this place won't survive. The falafel is also not the best- funky after taste. However, if you are looking for a clean place to order a pita wrap, it's great. If the prices were just a few bucks cheaper, I'd stop in for lunch at least once a week. read more

The food is fine and it's convenient to people living in and around Nova. There's that, but there no other half decent options anywhere in the area. The hilariously bad part about the place is the service. I've ordered takeout 4 times, and they forgot to make my order twice. I've ordered delivery 5 times and the drivers got "lost" 3 times, and even returned to the store with my food without notifying me TWICE. All this with modern navigational tools at their disposal. If you're doubting the numbers, I really started counting after the delivery guy returned to the restaurant with my food without telling me for the second time. One of those times they ended up closing and the assistant manager tried to tell me they wouldn't give me a credit for the two hours we waited later in the evening for our dinner. You can almost guarantee that if a conflict arises with your order, they'll be pissy back to you. They have no idea what customer service is and why it's important. So, I'd like to implore all of you, hopefully as someone from Nova Grill is reading this, to go anywhere else at your disposal before you try getting delivery or takeout from them. I finally stopped in today to grab a platter. It's basically Chipotle but for Middle Eastern food, which I love. The only detraction is that they don't have lamb but the kofta was a good substitute; the ground beef was well-seasoned and finely minced so that you didn't get a large, unseasoned chunk every other bite (it's not pleasant, trust me!). The rice pilaf was pretty good but justa little dry, and the multi-grain pita decent but not amazing (still like Hummus's pita the best). You get to pick your sauce and toppings, which great because you get to try a lot of different combinations. I confess that I felt like being rather boring so I stuck with the tahini sauce, hummus, romaine, and sumac onions, with piaz bean salad on the side. The sumac onions were delicous and added a new level to the taste of the dish. You can also get just a pita sandwich, salad, or bowl, much akin to the protool at Chipotle. I'll be back for sure to try the locanico, which is the Greek sausage, and salmon, both of which you can't really get as a regular dish on the menus at other Middle Eastern places in the vicinity. Service was amazing and extremely helpful, and they let me sample the various salads and slaw. Plus, a sandwich is only around $7 and platters around $8. For the variety and amount of food you get, that's just amazing, especially on the Main Line. read more

I LOVE the Nova Mediterranean Grill! I come here all the time during my lunch hour at work. The food is so fresh and tasty. I usually either get a salad bowl or rice bowl with chicken and then I load on my favorite toppings (feta, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, bean salad, etc.) The red spicy sauce is delicious, but be warned, very spicy!!!
