Calling all new NOVA students and families. This is the spot! Lots of expensive choices around town but nothing beats this place for fresh food and service. My son graduated last week and the owner saw my husband as we picked up lunch pre graduation. He immediately said no way your son is graduating today? It has been their spot each time he came to get him or just to visit..the owner presided to tell my husband he remembered the first time they came in four years ago. Nova Grill is amazing. The meats are great and the topping are all phenomenal. You can tell they are all homemade and fresh. I cant even really make a recommendation because everything is so good so load up. I generally go fire roasted chicken or steak and then a large variety of toppings and sauce. Both for lunch or dinner I am so completely satisfied. The prices are very fair for the quality of food you get. When you finish you are full but never get the burrito style hangover we are all so familiar with. Can recommend enough. Go there. Only two minor quibbles are parking is tough and lack of of lamb option. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I have been coming here since it opened, and each time I leave extremely happy and well-fed. The owner, who makes his own sausage, tzatziki and harissa!, will do anything to ensure your satisfaction, and treats every customer like family! I love the plates and bowls! They are always piled high with the freshest vegetables, and the sauces, esp. the aioli, are savory. The homemade tzatziki and falafel are the best I've ever eaten. My dining companion had the chicken plate and raved about his meal on the way home! The desserts aren't heavy at all and are well apportioned. And oh,the baklava! It is so so so good! Anyone I have sent in to Nova Grill always comments to me how fresh and healthy the food is, and they are so excited to return. I was really disappointed with Nova Grill after having dinner there tonight and will most likely will not return. I had much higher expectations since it was so highly rated on yelp. I ordered the chicken kebab platter. There were about 6 small cubes of grilled chicken breast on a stick. When I went to remove them, the cubes fell apart and when I tasted them, the chicken was extremely dry and overcooked and not very flavorful at all. The tomato cucumber salad was very fair, kind of watery, and some bites actually tasted like rotten tomatoes. I definitely would not agree that all their ingredients are fresh. The rice pilaf was fair, it had some flavor, but had dry texture and had that old taste to it. I chose the multi-grain pita bread, which they obviously do not make in-house since it was pulled out of bags labeled gyro pita bread. I actually enjoyed the flavor of this bread and it was nice and soft, but when heated, they burnt some of the bread. I also chose the tzatziki sauce which basically just tasted like really thick yogurt. My friend enjoyed his dinner though, a chicken gyro, but had mostly the same impression when he tried mine. Maybe other dishes here are decent, but unfortunately, this experience does not make me want to come back even to try other things. read more

TERRIBLE service, the guy who answered the phone had almost no idea what he was doing. He asked me to spell where I was (commonly known place in the area) three times with me using alpha beta code. The food took an hour to be delivered (and we didn't order complicated food) and was dried out and the flavors were off. We will never order from here again! read more

Food is very good here. However, my review was listed as negative because the prices are on a Mount Everest climb. When I first started going here, the prices for a basic meal was around $7. Then, it shot up to around $10. Now, its $10 but they limit your toppings. I didn't realize there was a limit and got 2 toppings above the limit. It came to almost $15. While the food is great, its not worth the price and I have taken Nova Grill off my lunch rotation. read more

Now I remember why we never order from this place. The food is good enough, although it was probably better before it arrived. We ordered delivery, and the person on the phone said, "30-45 mins". Over an hour later, our cold food arrived. I would've given them 2 stars if they were just late, and delivered cold food. But opening my "plate" was the last straw. For $10, I got a kiddie portion of their Locanico sausage. Again, tasty enough, but wow. After an hour, I could've eaten 3 plates. This placed served me well as a relatively quick lunch at a very reasonable price. The place was pretty empty though I stopped in for a late lunch around 2:00. The menu is displayed on the wall and there is a lot to choose from. Taking some queues from Chipotle, you order and your plate is built for you as you go along. One of the young kids in front of me ordered a sandwich, which quickly became enormous. Thankful to have witnessed that, as I didn't need that much food, I ordered a chicken skewer plate. The plate came with a choice of pita bread (including a very tasty multi-grain pita which was toasted), rice, and a tomato cucumber salad. Add a side of tzatziki and I was good to go. For under $10 you had a full plate of food that was enough to keep you satisfied but not overwhelming. I could see how this place would be a huge hit with the 'Nova students. I generally love Nova Grill, I pretty much come here once a week for their incredible salmon bowl. Now, I appreciate the freshness of all their ingredients and I appreciate that they cook the salmon fresh whenever i get a bowl, however, today it just took way too long. I arrived there at 2:30 and finally left at 3:20. It should not have taken 50 minutes for me to get a salmon bowl, and an order of their incredible yia yia fries. All the other ingredients are so fresh and delicious, and I was thoroughly enjoying my salmon bowl until I realized half the salmon was burned and charred and just tasted gross. If I'm paying 10 dollars for a bowl, and I had to wait 50 minutes for it, please, please let it be worth the wait. Nova Grill will remain one of my go-tos but until they can start compromising their quality with time then I will not be as much of a repeat customer. Otherwise, I highly recommend if you have the time because they have absolutely incredible food and their commitment to energy and responsible recycling is admirable. read more

Been searching for a good gyro throughout the Philly burbs and thought I would give Nova Grill a try. The menu was interesting but not traditional. The food fair at best. It just didn't have a fresh look about it. A worker was preparing catering platters in the back room which looked much better than what was in the service counter up front. The ice machine wasn't working. And a quick stop to the restroom which toilet was out of order as well. Disappointing. read more
