We have been with NPS Management going on three years now and from the application process to maintenance requests, and questions in general have been favorable. Excellent communication and good service. NPS worked with us through the credit check process and we were granted a Lease on average / poor credit. It has been smooth sailing from day one with no rent increase's. We like where we have lived for three years and plan on staying for years to come. I disagree with some of the bad Review's and track record here, and does not equate to what we have seen over the years. I called on a Friday morning and left a message and then filled out an online form of interest in one of their properties. I received a text telling me to call or text for an appointment. I replied back that I had just called and no one answered. They wrote back asking if I'd like an appointment and I said yes. They wouldn't give me an appointment until Wed which was 4 business days away if I'm being nice about not including the weekend. I was willing to take time off of work to find a sooner appointment but the person on the other end of the line never responded back to me. I have called a few more times and it only ever goes to voicemail. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I wouldn't use them to rent out your property. read more

SCAM!!PLEASE DO YOURSELF a favor and DO NOT waste your time and money at this management place. They will tell you that the rental application process is 2 to 5 business days. However, we have waited over a month, and still no response. Not a copy of our credit report or an answer of whether or not we got approved.They have taken a total of $240 dollars in application fees. I've spoken to both Monse and Karen, they both kept telling me that Tyler, the "agent," is busy. At this point I don't believe the places they list on their website are even available. I came to Google reviews and have read other people's reviews with similar situations. I have reported them to BBB and to my credit card company as fraudulent charges. The photos of apts for rent are fake They refuse to do normal maintenance.... like keep the laundry clean or repair broken equipment. My family and I rented from NPS management a few months ago until we were able to buy just recently. During our tenancy there the complex was always well kept and any issue we had was always resolved quickly. The Maintenance team is on point! Humberto, Griselda and Silvia are always easily accessible to communicate with! I referred NPS to a good friend of mine also who currently resides in the complex we just recently moved out of and they have been so happy with the maintenance department especially as well. What a disappointing and unprofessional company.Their website is EXTREMELY misleading in saying that they respond to applications 2-3 days upon submission. It's been 3 weeks and I have yet to receive a call back from anyone after reaching out twice for a simple update, denial, or acceptance regarding my application. They are quick to communicate when sending out an application and scheduling a showing, but will never return or answer a call after they take your money. NPS Management is still giving my the runaround about my refund for moving out. They said my check was mailed off on 11/7/24. The check was supposedly shipping from Long Beach to Riverside and I still haven't received my check in the mail. It does not take six business days to receive a check from Long Beach to Riverside. I could never get anyone on the phone to help me address my situation. Every time I ask to speak with the manager he/she is never available. NPS staff can't even provide me with the manager name! I can only get ahold of someone via text message. The person that i am texting tells I can pick up a check at the drop off center! That further lets me know that the check was never mailed off and now I have to inconvenience myself and my gas! just to drive all the way out to Long Beach to pick up a check that was supposedly send out E check on October 31st 2024 and then sent a new check to my current forwarding address. The lies continue to pile up from NPS. I am beyond frustrated with company. I just want to receive my move out refund and be done with this company for good!! read more

This company has the worse management service in Long Beach!! They do not care about the tenants at all!!! I lived here for one whole year without having access to my garage that they guaranteed me and initially charged me for. The termite tore the doors up so bad that they wouldn't open and shut completely. Did they give us new doors?? Nope, through some paint on it and Mickey moused it after a year to continue charging us for them. I am super dissatisfied. I pay my rent on time every month. Never late never short even through the pandemic. I've lived here almost 3 years without screens in my bedroom windows. They promised us that they would beautify the complex but after almost 3 years we still have an uneven ground with dirt and weeds, they hired a company who comes to mow the dirt and blow dirt on our cars . I'm not comfortable having company in my own house due to the uncleanliness of the complex and lack of care. They promised cameras ?? None!! I've planted my own plants outside my stairs and keep my area clean, although I'm not compensated for it and I can't do it all. They did a quick remodel and threw things together to make it look nice but it was only a matter of months before this unit showed me it's true colors. My bathtub moves when I get into it to take a shower, my sink sprays water from the base when I'm washing dishes, my bathroom sink leaks, we have insects, still have Termites ( after fumigation) + good old rodents!!! Half of my electrical outlets don't work in my house, they didn't even include blinds when you move in. I should have known it was just money from the start but I really thought this management company was different. The owner a man of color who I wanted to support depends on them to shade us but he really doesn't care himself. He only cares about how much money he can make off of his tenants! We barely just received keys to unlock the back gate after I complained over and over again, 3years to make keys while peoples cars were broken into, woman have been assaulted and followed. And now... While the world is still picking up the pieces they have wasted no time in raises our rent not 25 dollars not 50 dollars but $100 plus dollars with all these things still wrong with these apartments. Don't rent with them save yourself the heartache and stressed!! Trash company! read more

please listen to the reviews, they are scamming, go with someone else to save yourself stress and time. i ignored the bad reviews because i was desperate for housing. i paid the application fees, passed the 2.5x the income, rental verification and its like they do not want to rent you apartment or move you in. its like they just want to collect application fees, you would think they want to make a sale and move you in if you meet all requirements but i guesss not. their leasing agents are a joke. they also purposly leave apartments on their site that are already taken so you pay the application fee and tell you when you call to check that the unit has alrady been taken. common sense is to take the listing down so you do not have to pay for something already taken. im reporting them to bbb and calling my credit card company to get a refund. read more

I have repeatedly sent emails and requested a solution to have my request closed but not fixed. I am a home owner so moving is not an easy option but clearly paying my monthly assessment does not get good customer service from NPS. What a waste of my time and money. I applied for a unit after Tyler contacted me to go over some questions and scheduled my tour. He told me to let him know if I was interested so that he could run my application. I told him I was interested and would like to move in as soon as my application gets approved. He called me back a few days later and asked if I had a co-signer. I said no, and he said that was fine and would get back to me once the owners gave him an answer. I've followed up numerous times by calling and emailing him and I have not heard from him. Save your time, money, and energy and look elsewhere for an apartment. I don't recommend this company. I don't even give it one star. I tapped on the star by accident and it wouldn't let me clear it. This company is extremely unprofessional. The company doesn't return calls. Griselda, the work order coordinator is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Work order requests take several months. For example, washers and dryers have taken several months to be fixed. If our quarters get eaten up by the laundry machines, tenants are not reimbursed. We are told we need to get reimbursed by the company that services the machines. Which is complete B.S. They haven't even provided us with a number that we can call for reimbursement. Our bathtub needs to be replaced. Its corroded and we are unable to take baths. We submitted the request back in January of this year and still it has not been replaced. Have been given the run around. Also, the plants and weeds are overgrown. And the grounds are filthy. Not to mention the homeless people sleeping and blocking our laundry facilities This company doesn't take pride in their work. read more

Do NOT rent with NPS. I moved into a property 2 months ago and have had a terrible experience. I moved into a unit that ended up having a severe cockroach infestation, notable damage from past tenants, an extremely unsanitary neighbor who has somehow not yet been evicted (and probably the main cause of the roaches). I'm sure they manage some great properties but it seems that they have zero standards at all and that my building in particular is not cared for. I was even told by a new neighbor that his leasing agent told him "sorry about the damages, this place has been on the back burner". It's completely unprofessional and clear that they only care about taking your money. The only thing keeping me from leaving a 1-star review is the fact that I'm being allowed a transfer to a new property under NPS, but even while taking that into consideration, there are much better options elsewhere for much LESS money! read more

This place is a scam. Please do not rent from this property management company. I submitted and paid their application fee in order to co sign on an apartment. My credit report came back with no issues but soon after received an email saying that my application was rejected. I spoke with the manager, Ben, who said that my paystubs were falsely generated, which they were not. He had mentioned that my check dates are not consistent with my pay period, but it said on the paystub itself that these paystubs are for dividends/stocks vesting. He did not want to do any sort of further verification, he could have called the offices and verified, he did not want to see my bank statements. Ben just believes that for some reason my paystubs are falsified, which they are not. He was not willing to take any more verification, and disregarded my credit report which came back with 0 issues whatsoever. After trying to talk to someone else in the company who can help with my issue, I was just redirected to him, he spoke over my and refused to listen and hung up the phone on me. I will be doing a chargeback on this application fee as it is fraudulent. Save yourself the time and hassle this place is most likely doing illegal activity collecting application fees with no intention to rent out the apartment, or coming up with random reasons to reject you. I see other reviews have this same issue, and it is quite disturbing to see other qualified applicants get this type of treatment. read more

My experience with NPS Management has been nothing but positive. Back in 2019 I had a very rough start to the year that led to it be very difficult to rent an apartment. In July, before the unit was even available to view, I applied to a beautifully renovated 1 bedroom unit. As soon as it was available to view I got a call from Matt in the office and went in person to view with Dan. As I said it was hard for me to rent, but Matt worked with my to make it happen and I will be forever grateful.
