!!! ATTENTION !!! NTB Cedar Hill - TOTAL SCAM JOB: Botched Alignment, Lied About Parts, Zero Accountability, Crooks! - AVOID!! Took my fiancée' 2019 Toyota 4Runner to NTB Cedar Hill on 2/7/25 for a simple alignment. And not only got screwed, but also robbed! Right from the start - pure neglect and incompetence: * Empty bays, and no one at the desk. Kid too busy scrolling his phone to notice two waiting customers. * Techs looked a bunch of kids horsing around instead of working. * They didn't even bother dropping the skid plate - a mandatory process to properly access the cam carrier arm bolts on a 5th Gen 4Runner TRD ORP for camber adjustments. Lazy hack job from the start of which I was observing from the lobby as a mechanic myself. About an hour later, they hand me the spec sheet at my request to review. Almost nothing was actually aligned. Most specs untouched (still bright red), and only two "adjustments" they did make, threw the whole front end further out of alignment, causing unnecessary stress on suspension/steering components. (to my fiancée's vehicle mind you, not my own this is a major no no!) I call it out. Desk guy Jordan ask me "oh they didn't tell you?" and calls the hack of a tech in. Tech starts spouting nonsense: "You need upper AND lower control arms, bushings are shot, front shocks bad. You got a lot of miles.." BULL. Even if any of that were remotely true (it wasn't), it wouldn't explain a completely botched alignment Indicated on the printout. An older employee there noticed and literally asked the tech, "Why is everything still red? You didn't align it?" Tech raised his voice disrespectfully, not taking accountability for his incompetence, and defensively saying he did! pointing at the one thing he touched. Jordan offers a measly discount. I still got gouged ~$90 for worse-than-nothing "service." I Pull out of the lot--steering wheel cocked hard right, steering tight and heavy. ( in an abnormal bad way) They made it dramatically worse than when I arrived. (Vehicle arrived tracking straight as an arrow, and only needed adjustments do to suspension level, nor malfunction, neglect or worn-out parts) I go back in, politely ask for a refund for my troubles, Jordan flat-out refuses: "Nope, can't do that. It's warrantied--bring it back." Siding with his hack of a tech. Disregarding entirely the fact I've made it passively and respectfully clear, I am a very competent mechanic, I know what I'm talking about here. (I know every inch of my vehicles as it's a hobby and passion of mine. they change tires, I build high performance quality off-road vehicles for hobby). Hoping they would have integrity and at the LEAST. Just refund me, since you made my vehicle worse. I didn't need their so called mechanics uneducated "opinions". I simply needed an alignment machine for a simple adjustment. Dude had the gall to add, as I'm about to walk out internally fuming "But you really need to get those control arms though..." While lying to my face, insulting my intelligence and refusing to fix their screw-up. When I voiced my concern my vehicle was made worse, rather than caring to investigate his team's incompetence, his reply was simply "well.. I don't know about that, I didn't drive it before so.." a complete LACK of integrity, and basic respect for a customer! Monday morning I take it to Allstate Auto Care in DeSoto--reputable shop (alignments) that did flawless work on my previous leveled 4Runner years ago (which was older in year and higher in milage). Full alignment + free comprehensive inspection. Verdict: Zero issues! Bushings great, control arms solid, shocks great, truck in excellent shape overall (as I already knew--I'm the primary mechanic). Alignment done very well! no drama, no upsell Bullcrap. They even respected that I'd handle my own upcoming recommended maintenance. I asked, did ya'll happen to have trouble adjusting the control arms or getting it properly aligned at all? to which they replied - Nope! Everything went smooth! All is good! You won't need to come back for that at all anytime soon! As I left the 4R tracked beautiful straight, all the tension had relieved from the steering wheel. Bottom line - NTB Cedar Hill is a disaster: * Untrained, disrespectful kids masquerading as techs * Deliberately incomplete work * Shameless lies about "needed" parts to scam money * Zero accountability--won't refund even when they clearly worsen your vehicle * Management that backs incompetence and arrogance over customers They've NO desire to "make it right" If you're mechanically inclined, you'll spot the Bullcrap instantly. If you aren't, they'll happily ROB you blind while gaslighting you. DO NOT GO HERE. Save yourself the headache, money, and risk. Went in for an oil change 4/22/25. I was told that my brakes had a little squeaking noise, and that it would be $39.00 to remove the tires and spray a brake cleaner on the brakes. I agreed to the charge; however, once I got ready to pay the charge changed to $39.00 per axle. Oh, and also, I told him that the tires had not been removed as I was told. He went and looked at the tires, and said oh, he didn't have to remove anything, he just sprayed the brakes. So, back to the charges, once the job is done, you just throw in a charge twice as much!!!! Had the manager not been there to quickly take off $25, it would have been a problem. I will go back, because it is very clean, but if the workers knowledge does not improve, I definitely won't be using the Cedar Hill location on Beltline Rd anymore. read more

Went to the Cedar Hill location today thinking I may need a new battery. I was quickly greeted and helped. They ran the test and sure enough I needed a battery. The manager and workers were of great assistance, talked me through the process and were prompt and respectful of my time. Great service. I will definitely be back again! read more

Terrible experience. First, I called and made an appointment for an oil change and to check my wheel alignment. "We can certainly help you with that." Get there and she had forgotten to put me in the system. Again, mentioned oil change and wheel alignment. Waited an hour before they started on my car. So after 2 hours when it was finished, I asked about the alignment, "oh we couldn't do that because a mechanic isn't on duty." Needless to say, that was my last trip to NTB. read more

Manager Theodies Morgan was very professional and friendly. Had a 5pm appointment. Arrived around 10 minutes late due to traffic. Mr Morgan checked me in efficiently without any hassle. I mentioned I had a coupon and he applied it promptly to my order. Although the shop officially closes at 6pm and having multiple vehicles in the mechanic bays, he accommodated two other customers who arrived afterwards. My vehicle was serviced in the order received. It was around 6:30pm when I left the shop and they're still actively working on customer vehicles. read more

We took my daughter's car for an alignment and 4 new tires. The car came back worse. They missed or just did not tell us 2 issues needed to be fixed. We took it back yesterday and I was dismissed and then when they put it up on the lift the guy that was supposed to be working on it walked off and was just wandering around the shop. I told them to take it down and I took it over to the Grand Prairie store and it was fixed the correct way... Not happy with my experience at all and will not take it back to the Cedar Hill store again. read more

Piss poor customer service. Had an appointment which I showed up for at 12:00pm today and at 1:30pm they tell me that they cannot help me based on a tire measurement test that takes no more than two minutes to do. Apparently appointments here don't mean anything, they just expect you to show up at the reserved time and then wait until the mechanic decides he wants to work on your vehicle. They will waste your time and then blame their incompetence and poor punctuality on "short staffing." Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Had an appointment at 2pm. Apparently appointments aren't appointments, they just hold a spot for you to be seen that day. My nephew waited 4 freaking hours to have a diagnostic and estimate done. And they still couldn't give him the estimate because they helped every Jo Shmo that walked through the door. So he's still waiting for them to call with that information. 4 HOURS. Why is this location still open? With all the bad reviews.... I should have looked at this before making the appointment. First off, I don't know if this place is short staffed but the guy at the front with glasses and RED HAIR is RUDE. I arrived early for my appointment, no big deal, and I sat down for 30 mins and yet they still didn't bring my car back. I went to the counter to asked " Do you all not prioritize appointments over walk-ins? " and the way he looked at me and his tone were very disrespectful. He sternly said " There were a few appointments ahead of you so that's why they haven't brought it back " and he cut his eyes to the side as if I approached him asking a stupid question. This place takes FOREVER. They honestly don't care about you having to wait or having concerns about your vehicle. Appointment was at 12, here it is 12:40 and my car is still sitting out front. I arrived at 7AM when they open and have been waiting well over 2 hours for a state inspection that should take 15 minutes. It's not even that they are particularly busy this morning. Then they tell me my car is failing the inspection because of the windshield wiper blades. Unorganized rude and just overall poor service. I will never step foot in this store again. Service tech working on my car took 2 hours to complete a simple oil change. I observed his behavior the entire time my car sat in his bay. He continually walked away from the job at least 20 times either to visit with his peers or just waste time, not quite sure what the distraction was for him. In addition, he put 5W30 instead of 5W20 in my car. I will definitely tell family and friends to not use this location for any auto services. read more

This Location... Let me tell you about this location! NTB is my tire place or at least it was. So when they opened a location 2min away from my home I was excited. Till I had visit this location. Since I had just recently purchased 4 new tires with alignment bundle. So I took my truck to get the alignment checked. I thought they would just realign if it's off and they would send me on my way free of charge. And it was free of charge. But it also came with an attitude from the tech While complaining about the condition of my truck. Stating that the reason the alignment is off is because i need to change my entire front suspension. And that this would be last time they adjust my alignment free of charge. I was not impressed and honestly I was disgusted, Because prior to receiving this Whiny update. I sat for over an hour and watched this tech's move in sloth like manner and wondered to my self how this branch makes any money. So I didn't reply because At this point my blood is boiling and I wanted to sleep at home and not in jail. So I haven't had to return till today. I ran over a pothole and pinched my side wall so I was in need of a new tire. Since NTB left a bitter taste in my mouth I tried Discount tire first. But they didn't have my tire in stock. So yeah I had to stop and check at my local NTB and it was kinda better, the lady in the front desk handled her self in a professional manner and was also helpful. Even though they didn't have my tire she found a location that did carry it. I wish NTB locations were more consistent across the board. Helpful customer service and competent technicians shouldn't be to much to ask for. So if I want good service and no problems I have to drive to NTB 5039 highway 287 which is 32 min away. Chris and his team of car specialists provided my car with an oil change, state inspection, and tire change. They were attentive, informative, and pleasant every step of the way. Let's face it...care maintenance is usually a chore. However the friendly staff at NTB made the experience really pleasant. They offered my mom and I coffee as we waited in the lounge and watched Jeopardy. They even gave us a mug to take home. The team updated us as they completed various phases of the work so that we knew how much time we had to wait. The car now runs smoothly and everything is in order. I would recommend to everyone. There appointment times often run behind schedule. They change their store hours yesterday in order to cut overtime, but no one called me to tell me that my 4:00 PM brake service appointment could not be honored due to this change. I left my car overnight in order to get it fixed first thing this morning. I was told it would be ready by 9:30 a.m. When I showed up at 10:30 am, they had not even started on my car yet. I scheduled an appointment to change my oil online for 7:30 a.m. When I arrived, they told me that they had no technicians and asked me to wait. The guy at the front desk was nice, but he was the ONLY person there. He explained that the online site never checks to see if there is anyone even scheduled to work at that appointment.....What??? The first technician showed up at 8:05 and got started on my car at 8:30. It took an hour and one half just to change my oil. The guy at the front told me that they usually don't have anyone to do an oil change until 11:00 a.m. Well.....take it off the online appointment scheduler then - no one should have to wait just to get their oil changed - ridiculous! read more

They took advantage of my wife, forcing her to buy two tires to pass inspection then failed her because the ecm had not reset yet since buying a new battery. She told them this upon arrival and they still took her for almost $400... then I drove the truck after work the 50 miles they said, to reset the computer, and returned. I am highly frustrated with the Cedar Hill location. I took my wife's vehicle in for a new tire. Upon arrival of this location the store manager provided me with a tire that would fit. Prior to arriving to the location my wife and I verified that the location had the matching tire to the other three that were already on her vehicle. The manager confirmed he had it in stock. I informed the manager that I'd leave the vehicle with him since there was an hr and a half wait. After waiting for over 3 hrs we received a phone call informing us that they didn't have the tire. Not that big of an issue cause we understand how computer systems can have issues. I picked up the vehicle and took it to the Grand Prairie location where they verified to have the exact tire and did so by actually placing hands on it in the back. They replaced the tire within 30 min and we were on our way. The next day while I was at work I noticed my Apple earpods were not with me so I checked the location of them...they were at the Cedar Hill location. After my 48hr shift on the ambulance I went directly up to the location to recover them. No apology was given for them being taken out of my wife's vehicle and they had thrown away my EarPod case. I wanted to press charges over the situation but I figured Karma would return the favor Or the regional will do his/her job and ensure the situation will be handled on a professional level. read more

Dropped in to receive my tire rotation (from buying my tires at NTB). I thought I would also get an oil change and State Inspection. There was no one waiting, but the attendant said it would take about 2-3 hours time. He suggested making an appointment for the next day. I went ahead and made the appointment. I drove in this morning. About 6 people were waiting. The young lady at the counter told me that they were having some computer problems and could not do the Inspection. She then told me that the wait for the rotation and oil change would be "quite a while". I left and went to my normal oil change location. All done in about 30 minutes. I always have had good luck with NTB in the past, but, the recent visits have been very poor. I guess I need to find somewhere else to buy tires if I want service afterwards. read more

Well I guess in 2018 women still don't matter. My family and I have been customers of NTB for over 15 years. I took my car to the location in Lewisville earlier yesterday and that was a total disaster. Well then I rushed to Cedar Hill when I got off and was told it should be ok since he put air in it. I told him that it was something in it, but he didn't want to listen. Well what do you know I got ready to take my baby to daycare and head to work and couldn't. Why; because my tire was on flat. So I'm assuming they didn't listen to me because he felt I was a woman. Now if it had been my dad who took it, then they probably would've fixed it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I took my car to have 4 tires installed, after making an appointment the wait was still 5+ hours. When I picked up the car my tire light was on and I was told it would go off after riding a few miles, the light never went off. On the ride home the ride was not smooth likely because the tires were not balanced. All of the tire pressure numbers in the dash were off by huge amount, 44, 36, 27 and 30! When I looked over the tires I noticed the words INSIDE on the outside of the front right tire. I took the car back and the manager Patrick told me he would take care of it but it would be another long wait. I left the car there for hours and once I returned the tires had air and tire shine but he did not think I would notice the tire still said INSIDE on the front passenger tire. I completed a review and corporate contacted me. When I returned the manager refused to service me saying that I did not have to call corporate b/c that took his bonus away and he's "salty". He told me NTB was a chain place and I should go to another location although this one is seconds away from my house! This was such a poor customer experience and my tires still drive like crap, I WANT TO BE REFUNDED AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS ARE ALSO CRAP AND DO NOT FOLLOW UP! read more
