Went in for an oil change and tire rotation this morning. I also had a brake light that was out. I purchased the bulb but could not get the casing off myself. I asked if they could install it and they did so for free however they broke the damn casing! And did a crappy job gluing it back together and didn't tell me. I wish that I had names of people, but I had a nail in my tire and was losing air fast. They got my car in immediately. There was only one guy working in the shop, but he repaired it very quickly. I watched as he did it through the window. He was very thorough in making sure that it was all properly done as well. The guy at the front desk was in new. The store manager Ethan helped get a credit on my old tires directly from Michelin. He kept me up to date with what was taking place and made the process very smooth. My new tires had to be ordered. When they arrived, Ethan called and I took our Tesla there to get the tires replaced. I was in and out in about an hour. Went today to get the tire repaired that had a flat, Spoke to a new shop manager, Brad. Very professional and detailed. He explained that the tire patch may not work due to the position on the nail, etc. He went into the process and how they would need to take the tire off the rim, etc. I'm thinking this is really racking up a bill to get a patch in the tire.... I asked how much and they said 'no charge'. He had no idea I had recently purchased tires for my other truck, they want to earn your business. They got me in and out in about 20 min. They even put the tire on my truck and secured my spare back under the truck. This is a great honest shop - Max is the store manager and hired an outstanding shop manager, Brad. You know what they say about mechanics...I found that to be true today when I came in for an oil change because they were running a Black Friday special, but not really. We thought we could get some oil changes for a great price for all three cars, but the fact of the matter is that's how they get you! They said everything was wrong with our cars, from oil canister to needing a new tire when I just had one replaced and the other three looked at. I declined EVERYTHING and decided not to even bother with bringing our truck here. In the time it took to have my Ford Escape receive an oil change my husband had taken our truck elsewhere and was in and out in 25 minutes. I took my car to have my friend who tinkers look at it and he found NOTHING wrong. I also went to a reputable tire shop and they told me my tire was fine. I had the best experience here! I wish I got the technicians name but he was so helpful. I was in need of an oil change and didnt have much time. These amazing guys at NTB got me in and out in less than an hour and helped me save money by looking for a coupon to apply towards my oil change! The tech that helped me check my car in even gave me advice on a product I could purchase elsewhere that would help my engine run longer! It's so great to find a repair shop that clearly isnt all about making money. Such a great experience and I have never had bad in the past, either. So I arrive 45 minutes before closing... tire going flat in the parking lot faster than I could speak... person working at the front refused to help because they don't help people after a certain time (guessing 45 minutes wasn't enough time)... he told me to go to Home Depot and buy a repair kit... put the plug in and they would put air in... by the time I got back from Home Depot, walking, the tire was totally flat. Took the tire off and made the repair... several people working there came out front to bs and didn't offer any help at all. The only saving grace was the tech that put the air... he took pity on me and fixed the hack job I did... NTB ... probably would have left me stranded in the dark if I had got there any later. read more

TLDR: skip this place. They screwed me on the maintenance of 2 vehicles. For this vehicle, I paid for an oil change and got new oil (hopefully) , my same used filter and my same used drain plug which resulted in an oil leak staining my driveway and a trip to the dealership to resolve. The deets: At the time i performed my last review--scroll down in the history--, I had 2 cars that needed service. The last review--which was negative--covered my large SUV and occurred 1 week after the service performed on my small SUV. This review is for the small SUV. I had an inspection done on my vehicle, oil change and tires replaced. I went in with the plan that they would replace 2 tires, perform an oil change and do an inspection. This was communicated to them up front. I had ultimately had 4 tires replaced because I had asked for 2 replaced and 1 tire of the second pair didn't pass inspection. They didn't tell me that the 3rd tire needed to be replaced until the last moment in the inspection--after the oil change was complete and all other inspection steps were complete and the other 2 tires had already been replaced. I was initially a bit upset in the way they measured my 3rd tire needed to be replaced and when they noticed it. This necessitated driving the car back over to the other bay and changing the other 2 tires which took quite a long time after i had already been there waiting on the oil change and inspection and 2 tires for near 3 hours. There reasoning to change the 3rd tire was due to the tread depth being too low in one major groove of the tire. It looks like the legal requirement is that the tread depth needs to be below 2/32 (wearbars) in 2 adjacent major grooves--which i didn't have and didn't know about at the time. number 8. in the reference below: https://txtire.com/blog/view/tire-requirements-texas-vehicle-inspection Now that being said, I wasn't going to post this negative review alone for this tire issue as it's true that I did need the 3rd tire replaced soon and mistakes happen --in terms of then noticing so late to replace it. I initially was suspecting some problem with this service at NTB because when i was getting the oil change done, the service rep started telling me how his mechanic wasn't sure they had my type of oil filter. I have a german SUV. Ultimately he said they called around and got the info they needed and that everything was fine and taken care of. I recently took the vehicle to the dealership and they diagnosed that 1. The oil filter was not changed 2. The "one use" drain plug was reused and not replaced. Truck was in the service bay for about 20 minutes and I was surprised to see it completed so quickly. Upon further review of the alignment report I could see why...the vehicle was not aligned. After looking at the alignment report I could see the tech only address the toe issue and left camber issue untouched. I left with one front wheel with positive camber and one front wheel with negative camber. I paid $138 for an alignment that was not done. I want my money back. I received a survey email after the visit and detailed the complaint in the survey. No response. I contacted the company via the website and detailed the complaint. No Response. read more

Beware this location significantly up charges for parts on recommended repairs. If you get a price quote for parts and labor call around before proceeding with repairs. Took vehicle in for oil change, rotation and alignment. They recommended replacing the Rack and Pinion unit but could not get the parts for a few days to complete the work and thank goodness. They were charging $703.99 for a remanufactured Rack and Pinion unit part only, this did not include the $571.00 labor (at $129.99 per hour...). Called the Dodge dealership across the street from NTB and a remanufactured Rack and Pinion unit part was just over $400 and a brand new one was just over $800. So basically NTB was up charging approx $300 for the remanufactured part itself, unreal... So beware, get second estimates for any major repairs and parts here. BTW they lost doing the work and all my future business. read more

Do not believe the tune estimate for service; I waited my hour and a half that they told me BEFORE they even put in into the bay. Plan a half or full day to get your service completed. They are nice people but time is not a concept they seem concerned about. Great warranty and helpful to fix a tire, but their time management skills are a problem. TL;DR - After having my car serviced here, I'm taking elsewhere to have what was broken fixed, and everything they worked on double-checked. Okay. So as a matter of customer service, the mechanics working here pass with flying colors. Every person to whom I spoke was courteous, and genuine about trying to get the best deal possible (going so far as to inform me about available mail-in rebates, and minimizing labor time/cost). Furthermore, they fixed almost everything they broke in the first place and restored my headlight covers at no charge. So here's why with service like that, this review isn't 5 stars. To protect individual NTB employee's identities/reputations, I'll just refer to the mechanics to whom I spoke as "NTB". Here's the full story: I bring my car in to change a dying battery. NTB tests the battery, confirms its bad, and does a diagnostic on my car. NTB finds that my brake pads and rotors are worn down, and my struts are weak causing my tires to wear out faster. They recommend changing it all out at once to reduce labor time. The day gets busy as folks issue into the shop after work, my service takes about 4 hours instead of the originally estimated 2-3 hours (understandable). Before taking the car back, NTB informs me that they forgot to put the strut padding/covers in with the struts, and that they might make some noise in the meantime, but at no damage to the car. They'll be happy to fix it if I bring the car back later. On the commute home, I hear a loud CLUH-DUH every time I hit a bump in the road. It seems to happen primarily on the front passenger's side wheel-- but I figure it's the struts, and bring the car back next morning. NTB installs the missing strut padding. I take the car out after they're done, and the loud CLUH-DUH has now happens less often but remains ever present. Returning to my apartment, I park the car on a slight incline and engage the parking brake (it's a manual). I then feel my car list downhill before slamming on the footbrake. The parking brake doesn't work now. I call NTB and tell them the noise remains. The mechanic says the struts are probably a little loose still, and asks to have the car brought back again. In the coming week I learn each right-justified bump in the road on my commute to and from work. I bring my car back the following weekend. NTB tightens the struts at no charge, and says that the sound is coming from the suspension support bar in my car, which looks worn. I ask why the loud sound didn't happen before they worked on my car, and the mechanic says that it was a problem in the car before I brought it in. To be clear: it was not. Ready to leave before risking another $1700, I ask the mechanic to tighten the parking brake and decline to have the support bar replaced. Fuming in the waiting room, the mechanic comes back to inform me that it's not the support bar making the sound-- it's my front-passenger's side wheel bearing. I take a look at the wheel with him, and sure enough, it easily jiggles on its axle. I ask him why the wheel bearing worked before I brought the car in. He tells me that wheel bearings go out randomly sometimes, and that must be what happened. So, I'm sure wheel bearings do go out randomly sometimes, but let's just get this straight. The wheel bearing used to run silently. So my wheel bearing would have had to randomly break sometime during the trip from NTB's garage to their parking lot's first speed bump. Sorry, but Occam's Razor and I don't buy that. The simplest and most likely explanation: a mechanic messed up the bearing, either during a test drive or while working on the brakes. So now I'm taking the car to another mechanic, not only to have the wheel bearings replaced, but also to have everything NTB worked on double-checked. Nothing against the NTB mechanics at this location--I'm sure their good guys. But I don't have any reason to believe that anything else hasn't been collaterally damaged in my car. I don't feel safe driving my car after having it serviced here, and that's a horrible feeling to fight while driving. I'll try to update this review once I get another diagnostic done. read more

Made an appt online to get an oil change here. Received no reminders so I called the day of to confirm myself. When I walked in the big bald man immediately knew I was the 6:30 appt. I told him my auto insurance emailed me a coupon for an oil change and NTB was on the list for preferred locations. He said, "really? from your insurance?" He gave me the "are you serious look?" ---then examined my coupon like it was a fake ID. I told him I can show him the email. His exact words were "I don't care about your email." I was shocked but didn't want confrontation. He took my keys to go look up the mileage and vin# on my car then comes back and tells me I can't use my coupon because it was for conventional oil and my car will only take synthetic and high mileage. My car has been taking convention oil for years, but whatever. He gave me prices for those 2 options (both over the typical amount I pay for an oil change). I told him Walmart might be cheaper. He said, "that's fine," gave me my coupon without looking up from the monitor. Not even "well, we have other options...." or an attempt to win my business. Wow. I've never received such cold treatment for trying to use a coupon before. No more NTB for me. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I took my SUV into these guys, waited 30 minutes while the manager messed with an Aston Martin car and owner. Then he told us he'd do the alignment after I had purchased a 5 year warranty. Came back and said we needed $1000 worth of repairs on my front end, that the lower ball joints, and inner tie rods needed to be replaced... Took it the next day to a Ford Dealership for a second opinion and the repair. The mechanic said there's nothing wrong with my front end, and he found no parts, which needed repair. I'd HIGHLY suggest you get a second opinion if a tire store tries to sell you ANY car repairs. I don't go to Wendy's for chicken and I don't go to KFC for a burger. Classic example of bait and switch. I needed rear shocks replaced and was assured (by the manager-Mike) I was getting OEM shocks. I inspected the work when completed only to see that aftermarket shocks were installed. When I questioned it, excuses beyond belief were pouring out. Additionally, requested a price match on the part they installed and in order to accommodate it, Mike said he would have to double labor charge. I chose this location because they were the most competitively priced. Well, come to find out they were only competitive priced because he was not using the OEM part. Already logged complaint to NTB. BBB may be next due to unethical practices. read more
