This place is a total rip-off. We have a window came off track that wouldn't roll back up, the total cost was $550 for them to put it back on track. Diagnostic was $150, and they didn't give credit for having the repair done. Stay away unless you have money to burn. We took it there because it was close to our house, never again! Also, they tried to tell us that we needed to have the motor mounts replaced. Either they didn't check the condition and just assumed that we needed to replace due to the age of the car, or they were being dishonest and tried to make as much money as possible, because we had one of the motor mounts replaced less than a week ago when we replaced our transmission. According to the transmission shop, we didn't need the other one replaced. read more

My first dealing with EBA, I was recommended by another long time customer as we were both getting oil changes at another business. She heard me talking about my issue with my Corvette. She told me about EBA, I immediately left and found them. I explained to the gentleman my issue with my headlights not operating properly. They told me I could leave it and have it diagnosed. I asked more questions and another gentleman came out to look at my car. I want to add I have only had my Corvette for approximately 5months and still don't quite know how to operate everything. They turned to switches and discovered I had not been turning them on correctly and all that was needed was to keep the switch on auto. That was my problem. No need for a diagnostic or spending of unneeded $$$. I was so impressed with how nice, professional and helpful they were. They left a very nice impression with me. Fast forward my battery had been drained on my Vette from issues with the radio I recently installed. Once having g the car jumped by AAA. I was headed to the radio shop. My car stalled and would not start. I had to have it towed. Because I am new to Texas (10 months) I didn't know anyone or businesses. I remembered the shop at the time I could not remember the name of it , but I remembered where it was . Google search here we go. I found an approximate shop , but it was the wrong one. I described to a gentleman of who I was looking for and he gave me the name and went so far as to get me the number. When I called EBA, I told him who I was and my first meeting with them and asked if he remembered me, which he did. I told him my problem and if they could fix it. Now here comes to tow truck driver. He told me of a job I should take it to that was 3 blocks up the street from where we were. Hmmmm!!!! No thank you, tow me to EBA. I got an oil change at another location and it was mentioned that there were signs of an oil leak, but they were a small operation specializing mostly in oil changes and couldn't slot me in for a repair. So I looked online for a well-rated mechanic and EBA was at the top of the list - there's a reason. We took it in on a Thursday. They diagnosed the leak and told me it would probably take until the following Monday to complete (due to needing to order parts). I mentioned that we had been planning to leave on a road trip starting Friday evening (the day after I brought it in). I also needed them to work with our car's extended warranty company to get the repair covered, which takes extra time and effort. Somehow, miraculously, after hearing about my deadline, they made it happen, working with the extended warranty company and driving to Plano to get the right part in time. They even stayed a little after closing time (on a Friday night!) to make sure they finished up by my deadline. I would give this sorry excuse for a repair shop a zero star rating if I could. My father in law took my car in on the Tuesday morning before Fourth of July, first thing in the morning as soon as they opened. My car was just fine except for my AC not blowing cold. I have a 2010 Chevy Tahoe with only 200K miles on it. I maintain it well and Chevy's trucks can last for around 500K if well maintained and driven. I work from home so barely drive and only go to the gym and back or out to get food. So I got my car back on Friday morning after the fourth. They had my car for 3-4 days in total for a simple AC fix and when I go out to drive for the first time it does not start. My in laws came and jumped it for me and it was running again. Next day I go out ready to go somewhere and it doesnt start again. This place is a total scam and ripoff. I paid 250 dollars for a stupid diagnostics test which didnt tell me anything new by the way. All I had to do was go to Oreileys and buy coolant for 11 bucks and they would add it for free or I could get a friend to do it or do it myself. I only did this because my Father in law seemed excited to help and I wanted to see what they would say. Now I need a new battery when I got a new battery less than 2 years ago! This is infuriating. I am 40 years old and been around the block a time or two with repair shops and this one is hands down by far the worst experience I've ever had with a so called repair shop. Either these people are ripoff artists or they're as dumb as SH*T and shouldn't be within 10 feet of repairing anyones car! Use them at your own risk! **Word to the wise** I've learned its best to use mobile repair as they come to you, there's no lines, you can literally watch them like a hawk if you so wish and they wont keep your car overnight where God knows what they're doing. Stay away! I brought my car in and described the symptoms specifically and clearly. EBA diagnosed it ($140 for that alone) and told me I needed a new heater core, which required disassembling the dashboard, a very labor intensive process. They replaced the heater core and when I drove the car to Colorado, the same symptoms presented themselves. I drove it 800 miles back to Texas to get them to fix what they told me they had already fixed and they told me they have to take apart the dashboard again to fix the problems I originally complained about. And they wanted to charge me another $1200 to do it. My family has spent over $8,000 at EBA in 2022 alone and this is how they treat a good customer. No more. read more

I can't say enough good things about these guys. The most important character trait needed with mechanics is honesty. It is super easy to be cheated on car repair. I have had them do several repairs on my cars and they have always been honest. We have used EBA a few times now and I had some things that I questioned about how they charged but I let them go. The last round was on my wife's van and it was an the absolutely horrible job. We took the Toyota van into them due to the fan motor starting to make some noise. I did not want to have my wife out somewhere and have the fan go out altogether in this heat. I talked to Roland after they had a look at what was going on. They told me that they need to run diagnostics on the car to find out what was causing the noise. I told him that I did not need diagnostics to tell me that the fan was going out. He started telling me "well it could be just the resistor". I will let the mechanics comment on that statement. I told him to simply replace the fan motor and he agreed. My wife also told him that it was not blowing as cold and to that he said he would add up to a pound of Freon for about $120. I gave him to go ahead to do that. I get the car back the next day and I find that 1) the AC is not working as well as it was before he took it in, 2) the AM radio is no longer has clear reception. I did not associate the radio issue with this work initially. I called EBA and left them a message about the AC not cooling as well. I get a call back from Roland in the morning and he states that the reason it is not cooling as well is because I would not pay for the diagnostics. I asked him if he was serious to which he replied that he was. I was absolutely astounded that he would stand by this statement. He never offered to fix the issue, only blamed it on my not my refusing tp pay for diagnostics that were not needed. For those that do not know, you have to use a set of gauges to determine the high and low pressure on an AC system and you add Freon based on those readings, not based on running any diagnostics. What Roland really told me was that either he did not add Freon to our van but charged me for it anyway, or he intentionally took Freon out. He also stated in the bill that he added dye to it which I did not request. I am taking my van to another mechanic on Monday that I trust but that is also much less convenient than EBA Automotive. I am doing this because I would not trust any of my vehicles in the hands of this man or anyone that works for him. read more

I had the worst experience at EBA. While the front desk is kind the quality of work and pricing was awful. I had my car taken for some engine work and upon receiving it back my water hose was then broken. Upon returning they would not pay for a tow and said the fix would now cost me another $500. I cross reference their price with Christine brother and was quoted only $250, that is half the price and they stood by their $500. Christine Brothers is known to be higher for EBA to be double is disappointing. I did not cross reference my first repair they did but I would guess I was overcharged their also. Very disgusted by this, I trusted this company and was taken advantage of big time! read more
