I'm reviewing this place in comparison to Best Food Co. Both are similar warehouse style grocery retailers for Asian food. New Taiwan (NT) is easier to navigate, the warehouse is also smaller. However, it seems the prices are just a bit higher, maybe like 5% and also the selection not as extensive. However, everything seems much more fresh here, the selection of produce is fresher as well as the frozen items. I'd definitely come here for those and maybe go to Best Food Co. for spices, dried goods and canned goods. Pro tip here: Credit cards are only accepted if your purchase is over $50. This place is like a Smart and Final for Asian markets/restaurants. They don't sell produce or fish/meats but almost everything else. I noticed they are cheaper by 15 cents on a bag of dried peanuts I always buy at 99 Ranch. So, if you own a restaurant or asian market, you can resupply here. read more

This is a predominantly Asian Restaurant Supply Warehouse,you can find a good variety of rice,noodles,spices,produce items.Most of the warehouse employees are hispanic and are generally very helpful when asked for help find an item.The General Manager is usually supervising the entire operation and is very reasonable and polite with customers.I usually stop by to buy almond cookies and rice,prices are economical and you can also see the price per case next to it.Worth a visit to check their stock vs. other Asian Markets. read more

It's cheap. Think $5/lb for sliced lamb. Not $17+ at 99 Ranch. But the lamb here is actually trash tier. I actually don't know hot pot restaurants can serve this properly. The meat is dark, has a weird combo of gamey + oddly preserved smell, terribly thickly sliced (like fancy hotel towel thick), and in general just is very old/stale and unedible I think the only way to get this to work is to get their unsliced lamb (which they actually have unlike most Western supermarkets) and slice it yourself. Otherwise, the selection is typical of a large warehouse area. Decent amount of selection. If you want a huge place, go to Canton downtown. Try Rivera next door too if you don't see what you need. And if you just want cheap lamb go to Metro Supermarket in Temple City. That quality is actually decent. Just remember Australian lamb, best lamb. read more

For a market called New Taipei, I expected a huge selection of Taiwanese goodies. There are a TINY selection of snacks. I was looking for chips: I counted a total of perhaps 4 varieties of chips. 0 ramen. 0 chocolates. A couple of cookies brands. Decent amount of Taiwan teas. Not a good place for Taiwan ramen, snacks, nor drinks. However, they have a huge selection of things from China. Their grocery department is great. NT foods.com, this food company is too bad, they sell food that will expire soon, and everyone must carefully choose when they buy any food. I went to this company at 4:15 pm on February 22nd. I asked the sales staff if they had frozen raw oysters. They looked around and moved a box of 20-pound oysters into my shopping cart. I also bought other food and spent a total of 347.23. Today I took them out of the freezer and opened the outer box. I found that the date of the oysters was April 24, 2017 and expired on April 24, 2019. No one will eat 20 pounds of oysters in less than 2 months. I called them and told her that the sales staff did not tell me that the food was overdue soon. Now the food is well packed and I hope to replace the food with a longer shelf life. Her attitude is very poor, saying that the food cannot be returned because the food has not expired now yet. I will never go to NT food to buy any food. I wish that no one will be deceived like me. read more
