It was my first time here. First time jumping with this small gym that's located in the middle of signal Hill with a dance studio like. The facilities are fairly clean. Not crowded at all for a Friday. Located fairly close off the freeway and easy access on and off in ample parking. I joined this jumping crew so that I could try something new. I have a class pass for 2 weeks and this facility was on the list. I took a strength training class on Saturday June 28th. It was a small class which I liked and the other people who are regulars were very welcoming to me. Colin Monaco was the instructor and he was attentive to making sure we were doing the correct form. I definitely gave it my all and pushed myself to do better and I woke up sore the next day which means I hit all the right muscles . I have enjoyed being taught by all the trainer's during the Bootcamp & Pilates classes. I have had massages from the therapists and received chiropractic work from many of the doctors. I specifically receive the deep tissue muscle work with minor adjustments which targets the scar tissue in my neck, shoulder & arm. I took a Kangaroo jump class with Staci. I take many fitness classes and enjoyed this a lot.. The class is high energy and the time goes by fast because it's fun. I also burned about 900 calories as the result. Unfortunately, I have some knee pains as the result of dancing many years. It's also due to age. What is so great about her Kangaroo Jump class is that wearing the boots helps absorb the shock and it takes off pressure from the knees. All ages can do this new and fun fitness format. So disappointed with my experience. I really wanted this place to work out for me since I had just moved to Long Beach and was looking for something local. I will start with the positive. 1. The facility is amazing. They have everything you can think of like Chiropractor, masseuse, gym, cycling, meal prep delivery and an awesome front desk staff. 2. Dr. Gunter is great, very personable and knowledgeable. My visits with Dr. Gunter we're very helpful. 3. Location was perfect, very local to Long Beach with tons of parking. I inquired about having my Insurance looked into by the billing department to find out if my insurance will cover or how much will they cover if I did chiropractic services. I spoke with Carly and she she took all my information and said she will get back to me with my insurance reply. I got a voicemail from Carly on March 23, 2022 stating "I have No Co-Pay or a Coinsurance and I get 30 chiropractor visits a year" (attached find a photo of the voicemail) With that information above I made an appointment for my first visit on April 11, 2022 and soon after another visit on April 25, 2022. On both visits everything went well and never once was anything mentioned to me about any debt owed or fees. After those last couple visits I made an appointment for my 3rd visit for May 9, 2022 and while waiting for my next appointments I got a letter in the mail stamped for May 5, 2022 stating I had an unpaid balance, so I immediately called the billing department and left Carly a voicemail since no one answered. I had my 3rd appointment that I attended on May 9, 2022, before I left the front desk wanted to make my next appointment and I asked if we could please hold off on the 4th appointment since I have left the billing department a voicemail due to a bill I received. The front desk staff was ok with that and said they will also let the billing department know to look into it my bill. By this time it's been day's that passed and I finally got a response from Carly, it was not a phone call or voicemail, it was a text (photo attached). Carly stated she will look into why I was charged a fee and gave some "Guess" as to why I was billed. Shortly after that I started getting multiple bills in the mail from all 3 of my past visits. My bill went from $40 to $77 to an updated due balance of $114.00. Mind you at some point I finally got to speak to Carly on the phone and wanted to understand where or how this situation occurred, especially after being told that there were No Co Pay or a Coinsurance. Carly explained to me that the billing department does not know if there are any fees until the visits are done and they send in the bill to the insurance. I was lost because my understanding is they call the insurance in advance to get the full run down of what is paid and not paid and that's were they got the No fees and 30 visits a year I was told initially. Carly didn't have any clear answers and our conversation was just going in circles. I asked if I could have someone else help me in this matter or maybe even talk to the owner. I thought maybe the owner would like to know what's happening and see if something is wrong. I honestly thought maybe another set of eyes would help resolve the issue. Before the call ended Carly said the owner is very busy and she would relay the message to have him call me. I asked if he had a number to be reached or an extension and she said "NO" that they have to give him any messages and he will call you back. Till this day March 30, 2023 I am still waiting for the owner to call me like Carly had said she would relay the issue. I am still getting bills in the mail now stating I am going into collections. It's not the $114.00 that is the issue, it's the misleading and the being lied to that is the problem. If the business is just giving false information to bring in new patients and then expecting them to pay debt that was never planned, that is not acceptable. I don't appreciate someone giving me false information and then not taking responsibility. I have not and will not be a returning patient. read more

I started seeing Amanda for the 90 minute massage a few months back. I started up with her because she came highly recommended and I tend to not do enough self-care. At first, I was hesitant because it's well over a 30 mile drive for me. Today, I came to her with lots of hip and low back pain. It is painful to sit and bend forward. I asked her to focus on my hips, glutes, and hip flexors. She did just that, and also worked on my hamstrings and quads, which were super tight. She provided so much relief to my achy body and I'm so grateful. I was 30 mins late and she was unbothered, she got straight to work and made excellent use of the hour I had left. In addition, she sent me home with "homework." She knows I have a goal to meet and a short timeline. She is helping get me there, but in the process teaches me how to help myself while at home.
