Where do I begin.. The experiences with Newark Porter Infiniti have been numerous and exhausting. This story begins over a year ago when I took my first ever Infiniti (2015 Q50S) in for maintenance and to fix a few interior rattles (glovebox & door). I researched the two dealerships near me (Newark & Timonium) and decided to make the additional trek to Newark as they had received better reviews. This trip is over 50 miles one way and takes a little over an hour to make. Furthermore, there is a $6.00 toll for each trip. I quickly found out that if you take your car for any interior noises, you'll battle with the dealership in trying to replicate the noise. If you're lucky, they will replicate it and try to mend the issue with their "go-to" procedure of applying little felt pieces everywhere in your car. Nothing says luxury as little felt strips. I also had the privilege of experiencing death wobble due to premature wear of OEM rotors and brake pads. Despite their being a TSB out for brake issues with the Q50, the dealership would not honor it. I brought in Infiniti Consumer Affairs in hopes to mitigate this issue, however, they refused as well. Therefore, I had to purchase and install a full brake job as Infiniti would not honor their TSB. After 3 trips up to Newark to fix the same four interior rattles, Porter Infiniti inflicted even more damage to my car during their felt application process. I've attached images to show you how I received my car (keep in mind, this is after I had already been there 3-4 times). Unwilling to put even more miles and time on the car, I told them I would only return when I had additional issues to take care of. This brings us to the most recent. I have a noise beginning to resonate in the front left of the car. I, along with others who have heard it, believe it has something to do with the suspension (would explain all of the interior rattles as well). Concerned, I decided to return to Newark to get this issue looked at along with others. I wanted the damage repaired, the passenger fog light secured (missing screw), and the steering wheel noise (ITB15-001) fixed. After 2 days, my car was complete. They did repair the damage they caused and replaced the weather-stripping and backseat plate. However, that is all that was done. Supposedly they could not hear the suspension noise during their 3.2 mile test drive. Furthermore, they ignored the fog light securement (despite 3-4 emails reminding them of it), and said they couldn't replicate any steering wheel noise (Despite the TSB I provided) In summary, during my one year of dealing with Newark Porter Infiniti, they have been through 3 services managers which no longer surprises me. I've put about 600 miles on my car, spent about 24 hours commuting to and from the dealership, and spent about $60 in tolls plus all of the gas costs. I hope other Infiniti dealerships are different. However, I can confidently say that if you care about your car and quality service, I would avoid Porter Infiniti at ALL costs. In fact, I'm looking forward to the expiration of my warranty where I will no longer feel guilty or wasteful in having myself or another qualified mechanic fix the items on this car. I can thankfully say I am finished with Newark. What a relief. read more

Run away as fast as you can. For your own good. Never buy a car here. I Leased a brand new 2014 Infiniti G60 from them. I brought the car in as it was not running right. Hesitation, jerking, not shifting correctly. They call me back the next day and say the car is all good to go and they fixed the issue. I take the car home and it is not fixed.Same issues. I take it back. AND.................................... Now the car is in their shop with a Blown engine! What the heck is going on? And to make matters worse they want me to pay for a NEW ENGINE and the car only has 22,000 miles on it and has had 3 oil changes done by a reputable national chain. They will not accept the documents that I have sent them regarding the oil changes. This is unbelievable. I am done with INFINITI and would never ever walk into a Porter dealership again without a lawyer. Buyer beware. These guys are ripoffs. Thieves. and at worse Fraudulent.Court case pending. I would stay away from their Infiniti service department. First off their diagnosis of problems is terrible, they try to write off any issue as a normal noise or normal behavior. I've had several problems with my vehicle and they diagnosed 2 out of 7 issues correctly, one being a very obvious tie rod issue that I told them was an issue. About 3 other problems were also very obvious yet they couldn't diagnose them where a local shop was able to and repair them quickly and for a fraction of the cost of the dealership quote. Secondly, their customer support is terrible. I'm a loyal Nissan/Infiniti owner, this being my third vehicle. I buy all of my vehicles used. I dropped my vehicle off for service under warranty (or so I thought) and it turns out the warranty expired literally that day, which they never bothered to tell me. Beyond that there was no communication, I had to call a week later to get a status on my vehicle. Not only was the dealership not even willing to call infiniti on my behalf, they pushed everything to Infiniti. When I called Infiniti on my own behalf they essentially told me it was up to the dealership to decide. In a way I'm glad I have no reason to visit this dealership again unless its a powertrain issue but even still I'll be taking it to West Chester Infiniti instead. On the positive side, their shuttle service does work pretty efficiently as well as their loaner cars if you absolutely have to take your car here. read more

I thought long and hard before writing this review. Unfortunately I must. We've purchased three cars from this location but I will never come back. Their service has been terrible and honestly I cannot trust them with my vehicles anymore. The last time I was there they gave both my husband and I a very hard time. I purchased the advanced package for scratches, dents, etc. I took my car in for regular service and scratch repairs (now we've previously had scratches repaired and there's never been an issue. Well the new maintenance management would not honor the scratch program purchased and refused to fix the scratch. We also brought an issue that we had in our previous Infiniti to their attention as it was presenting in the brand new Infiniti after only a year and they completely brushed it off. We asked that they give us a call before beginning work so we'd know what they planned to do since the guy we left the car with didn't seem to know anything. No one called. My husband had to call several times before anyone picked up and that was until early afternoon. We dropped the car off at 7:30 am. We've always had a great relationship with Porter Infiniti and had always said we'd continue to purchase Infiniti cars from Porter. Unfortunately the trust is gone and we are now looking for another brand because we are done with Infiniti and especially Porter Infiniti and any Porter dealership. read more

Porter INFINITI - Car Dealers Near Me - Newark, Delaware

We recently purchased a new car from this dealership and everything seemed to be going fine until it came time to settle the deal and sign the paperwork. That's when we discovered that this dealership added a arbitrary dealer markup of several thousand dollars. I have seen other dealerships add as much as $10-15k, but this one was under $5k-still it's a shady practice. Also, beware that the finance manager will also try to sell you and extended warranty package like the people from India and Indonesia do when they call you on the phone-so unclassy. Honestly there rating would have been 5-Star, but these two practices alone cut their rating down to used car salesman level. When the finance guy showed me the monthly payment it's was nearly $150 more than what we agreed to over the phone. When I started to drill down into the numbers I discovered that they added this extended warranty-That I never agreed to in the first place. Buyer beware, because you would expect an Infiniti dealership to be classy and not use underhanded tactics like this. When I disputed the charges, the dude changed it to another lower priced extended warranty-thought really, you get paid such a low salary that you need your commission from up selling this extended warranty. He continued to come up with BS reasons for why I needed this warranty. After the dude tried 3 times to get me to buy some extended warranty package, I told him to take it off or I'm walking out the door. The sales manager finally had to intervene and make him take it off. Honestly, this entire practice made this dealership seem so sleazy and an experience that should have been a happy one became an unnerving and stressful one. I mean really, you expect a luxury car dealership to have more class than to do this. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this whole experience was. It's very disappointing and buyers need to beware. I'd be curious to know if anybody else has had similar issues. This is a big dealership with many lines, if they use practices like this on their luxury line of automobiles-what are they doing on their other lines. I'm sorry to say this but buyer beware and be ready when you walk thru the door. We bought one of our cars from Carvana and they don't do BS games like this. The consumer has to be prepared because an increase in payment of ~$150 per month is huge, and they didn't even care about what it was going to cost us. We are both Senior Citizens, and have to be able to manage in a fixed income. If we hadn't been on our toes they would have been happy to take advantage of us-that's a very disturbing thought. Be careful the reputation of a dealership is very important and if they do shady things in the sales process, this philosophy extends to the parts and services side of the business too! read more

Avoid the service department. Dropped my care off for diagnosis regarding ac not blowing cold but otherwise working fine and a few other things. Dealer could not recreate the AC problem according to them and price was too high given the age of the vehicle for the remaining work. So, I paid the $100 plus diagnostic fee and received my car back. When I received my car back and drove back home I noticed the AC blower would not stop blowing even after i switch the unit off. It is permanently stuck on. This was not the case when I arrived. They obviously knew this too since they diagnosed the unit and found no problem ( I have paperwork to prove this). You'd think they'd take a look out of common decency if not a damage claim ( I'm too busy for small claims though.) The hassle of filing a claim isn't worth it. I contacted the service manager Patrick and explained the problem. Instead of acknowledging that customers expect to receive their vehicles back in the same operating condition they left it in, and especially after paying the hefty diagnosis fee and receiving a report saying there was no problem they could recreate, Pat took absolutely no interest accountability for my experience and problem calling it a coincidence and only offered to re-diagnose the same system again for another $100 fee. I wouldn't call Pat's tone completely rude or belligerent but his handling of the situation certainly isn't what you would expect from a premium brand or of any company looking to retain clients. Perhaps Pat and Porter do not value clients with older vehicles that like knowing their car was repaired correctly. Why would you buy from a place that is nickeling and diming you while masquerading as premium. I had noticed the service department experience here had noticeably declined on my last few visits but wanted to give the shop one more shot. I plan to replace my current Infiniti and wanted to see what treatment i could expect for the life of my new next vehicle. I still plan to buy a version of the loaner they gave me on my visit as was my plan. But it will not be from Porter as I had originally planned. I also don't recommend anyone else do so either if you value treatment in the service center. They seem to have declined to the point that simple responsibility and a kind attitude of service to is too much to ask. I'll pass. read more

Drove an hour out of my way to lease a car with Porter yesterday and the experience was beyond expectations. Both the sales rep, Jeff, and the manager, Scott, were friendly and forthright. Jeff was extremely well-versed in the vehicle and was super responsive during the 3 month long process of choosing and researching the vehicle. I decided to work with Porter after having visited several other dealers and talking/emailing with many more. Porter was upfront and not pushy. They gave a great price from the start compared to other dealers, and they provided all of the lease info in a complete, easy-to-read format. No trying to interpret a lump sum number or having to ask a million questions to get the true details of the deal. I'm very pleased with every aspect of my dealings with Porter and will be returning for their service program. In the past my experience with purchasing cars has been less than favorable and I am happy to provide a huge thumbs-up for a dealer that really does put customers first. read more

I was always told never go to the dealer, they rip you off. After going to 3rd party places the get my car fixed they actually messed up my car. Porter INFINITI did a fantastic job at handle my gibberish concerns. They gave my a loaner vehicle so I can continue with my day and always called me to keep my updated. This place is the perfect example of a business that is run by completely incompetent individuals. Is it possible to give zero stars? I leased my car in early December 2013 and it is now almost May (5 MONTHS!!) and I still do not have my actual license plates because of the incompetent employees working at Porter. 1. As I was moving to GA, I was told to get a Georgia ID so that I could get my car registered in GA. I was finally registered for a license plate in FEBRUARY. However, I never received my plates because the idiot title clerk decided to mail it to an address that I have no lived at in almost 4 years (also in a different state). So I was issued another temp tag until I could book a trip back to Chicago to retrieve my tag. WTF. GOOD JOB CLERK. 2. A few weeks later, my insurance company calls me to tell me that my car was rejected by the Georgia DMV because it is actually REGISTERED IN ILLINOIS. SO let's reset the entire process of registering my car. Luckily they had the decency to cover the cost of re-registering the car in Georgia. But when I called about it, they made it sound like they did me the biggest favor. Sorry, no gold stars for simply correcting a huge mistake on your end. 3. While my car was getting re-registered, I received a call from Infiniti financial telling my that I was derelict in my December & January payments. These were payments that Infiniti were supposed to have made by Porter. GOOD JOB GUYS. After calling back and forth between Infiniti Financial + Porter, it was finally figured out in a month. 4. After I received my 2nd temporary tag, I alerted Porter a month before that my tags were going to expire again, It has now been 13 days after my 2nd temp tags have expired and I still do not have permanent plates. Some guy named Ed promised that his clerk would call me and overnight temp plate #3 to me, this never happened. I'm pretty sure the clerk must be a monkey or someone with a brain the size of a peanut at this point. Then Ed insisted that I would get my actual plates and still has not happened. What a joke. The amount of time I have spent trying to get everything fixed with these clowns is insane. If you are looking for a side hobby of dealing with idiots, I would definitely recommend Porter, otherwise, don't waste your time. You probably save money in the long term by paying a couple thousand dollars extra for a car somewhere else simply because you'll waste hours of your life trying to get simple basic things completed. read more

Received a letter saying our Infiniti was worth $22,300. Got in there and the manager, Jeremy Porter, told us he would give us $18,000. No reason for the lesser price as our car has low miles and meticulously maintained. We picked out another, a 2018 with 19,000 miles, very high. Jeremy said No, they don't discount for the high mileage. Fine, give us a monthly payment. Comes back with a figure about $40.00 higher than our present payment. Hmmmm. Looks like he checked to see what we were paying, saw we always paid on time so obviously could afford it, then figured we would pay a little more for a newer car. Never told us the interest rate or length of loan. Jeremy became arrogant when questioned and then asked us to leave. This guy is the most dishonest person Ive run across in a long time. read more

The purchase experience was easier and more transparent than I was expecting. Ultimately, I came away with a great car at a good price, as far as my online research told me. The price was more competitive than West Chester Infiniti, where we bought our other car. My car turned out to have a metal object in the right rear tire before I took delivery of it, most likely from being driven to Porter from another dealership. When I finally realized what was behind that clicking noise and called Ed at Porter, he immediately offered to replace the tire (not just repair it) before I could even ask for anything. I bought my first Nissan from Porter (2014 Hybrid Pathfinder purchased in late 2014) and it will be my last. It was my first Nissan as I always buy hybrids and Toyota couldn't find a 4-wheel-drive at the time. 2 years ago, the passenger side sun visor broke and would only go 1/2 up and 1/2 down - you couldn't see out the window. That cost $200 to fix. Last year, the driver's side visor did the same thing - another $200. Since this was a safety hazard, I argued that it should be covered under my warranty - but no, it was out-of-pocket. Last month, the driver's side door would not open from the inside. I now have to roll the window down to get the door open from the outside latch. My appointment for this strange malfunction is tomorrow - who knows how much this will cost me. Porter has never attempted to make any of this right - it is not like I sit in the car and slam the visors up and down, or open-and-close the driver's door. I'm a 57-year-old woman, for goodness sake. Back to Toyota vehicles for me. read more

All easy anf fast, also very good deal.

On my first time bringing our Infiniti in for service, I was stunned. There was a rattle underneath the car that seemed like broken exhaust hanger. We were quoted almost $2000 for an assortment of suspension issues. We had only bought the car a few months ago from a family friend. I took the car to a trusted local shop and it was a broken exhaust hanger and one small part in the suspension. The cost? $225 for everything. You always hear about dealerships overcharging but this was ridiculous. Not only will we never bring a car for service there, I won't even consider them for a new or used car. That goes for all the Porter dealerships. read more

Our salesman Jeff was GREAT!!!!!! He wasn't pushy, he didn't pressure us but he was EXTREMELY helpful. He listened to our needs, answered our questions and most importantly, he was honest. He was also great in helping us to learn about the new cars features. I look forward to seeing Jeff again at the end of our lease. Also, the business manager was very cool to deal with. My wife & I walked out of another dealership just 1 week prior to our purchase at Porter Infinity. The business manager at that dealership was pushy, rude and we didn't trust at all that he was concerned with our needs. He was concerned with overselling us items that we didn't need. I'm certain that he was so confident that we were already in his office that he didn't care about what he said to us. He was indeed shocked when we walked out of his office without the keys to the car. It was a shame for the salesperson that helped us. As I am writing right now, I am still so upset, but to make a long story short, we had some issues with our 2010 qx56 which have less that 55k miles which we brought into the dealership for them to find the problem and fix it, which they never did, they keep telling us they cant seems to find the problem and keep telling us this maybe this maybe that without doing anything, the last recommendation they did was to disconnect our icc/the cruise control to see if that was the problem, which was never the problem (the cruise control have not been working since they so call reconnect it and now refusing to fix it, and after that they told us that they cant do anything we need to take the vehicle elsewhere. We were able to find a reputable service center that specialize in vehicles like Infiniti, Mercedes Benz etc, who took a look at the vehicle was able to find the problem and fix it. I was very upset at Infiniti because we took the vehicle to the maker, not an off service center, the maker refuse to take the time out to find out the problem, and someone else did and fix the vehicle. They did no due diligence to us and make matters worst, which cost us more money in the long run, I WILL NOT PURCHASE FROM INFINITI AGAIN BECAUSE I WILL NOT HAVE A REPUTABLE SERVICE CENTER TO TAKE VEHICLE TO THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING read more
