Been here 4 times now and can't believe i have not written a review. The food is phenomenal- the flavors w the herbs sauces all tied together. Hubby has the short ribs w homemade in-house papadelle noodle ( i think i spelled that wrong) I had the salmon w the shrimp stacked on top w potatoes and asparagus. What a treat! We were greeted and served by Cynthia. Attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed her interaction- We have been here on Friday or Saturday, where you will find a a lounge singer doing all the songs you know. So much fun on Friday's and Saturdays. Had dinner with friends last night. Let me say the service and the atmosphere was fantastic. There was entertainment which was a nice touch. Indoor and Patio seating. Now, the food itself was fair. Not great, not horrible. Caesar salad, chicken parm with pasta, spaghetti bolognese, linguine and clams. Dessert was spumoni and cannolis. Nothing was something that you would go back for. Stopped into Bella Vita because I heard live music from outside... and honestly, that alone pulled me in. The singer was so talented not background noise, but the kind of live music that actually makes you pause and listen. It set the whole mood for the night. Ordered the seafood pasta and I'm not exaggerating when I say I ate everything. No leftovers, no regrets. The flavors were rich, fresh, and exactly what you want when you're treating yourself to a nice dinner. And our server? Truly made the experience. Decided to pop into Bella Vita for happy hour with friends and it ended up being such a great choice. The happy hour menu is wonderful with plenty of fun options to pick from. The inside is upscale yet cozy. We had really great service, and I have to name Cynthia at the bar for being the absolute best. Friendly, attentive, and just made the whole experience better. It was our first time here and we ordered take out for two. I had the chicken marsala with mash. It was ok. It needed more flavor. It was kinda bland. I needed that kick from the sauce, it wasn't there. The customer service was good though. We will try it again. read more

Drink was lovely and calamari was good but over cooked. Might of even been precooked? The owner Fabio was sweet and friendly and I was so very excited at the potential ... Ended up ordering, lobster ravioli. Avacado salad, eggplant Parmesan and meatballs. My roomie wasn't a fan of meatballs unfortunately. The best was eggplant Parmesan although the pasta was mooshy so just ate it alone. Lobster ravioli was b+. Happy hour was a great deal. Ordered all the for $60 but I doubt I will be back. The staff were friendly and prompt throughout. 5/5 pasta - Perfectly cooked with a well-seasoned pesto sauce, easily the best we've had in a while. It reminded us so much of Italy! Great portion and value. 1/5 branzino - Two small, thin fillets for $37. The reheated vegetables were soggy, and the mashed potatoes were forgettable. Came here for an early dinner to catch up with friends - I'd never been here before but always pass it driving around the area. Bella Vita is located within the EOS plaza on the corner of Blue Diamond and Decatur, easily visible from the street, with ample shared parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is decorated in a clean, modern vibe. The booths we sat in we comfortable but the leather/pleater booth seats were cracked and weathered (and was a bit painful to sit on while wearing shorts). Being here for a very early dinner, there was no wait to be seated and service was quick. Food came out quickly. We shared calamari (fresh, crispy, great marinara), and I got shrimp fettucine alfredo. I must say, this was probably one of the best fettucine alfredo plates I've ever had. The sauce was creamy and thick, and the shrimp was cooked well without being overdone. I think I licked my plate clean. I would definitely come back, for sure for the alfredo sauce but also to try their other menu items. read more

This one hurts....we used to frequent the happy hour here under the old owner....we have not been back for awhile so we figured we would give the new owner a chance to get up and running for awhile before coming back. We were excited when we entered...the place is quite pretty and the happy hour menu prices have not changed. We ordered a few drinks..a wine and hub got a black Sapporo that he had never tried before. Hands down...the bartender was a standout great employee...but it is not his job to take care of anything beyond the bar. We ordered our food, bolognese and vodka penne and meatballs...we noticed that no particular person was our waiter or waitress...it was a hodge podge of who happend to saunter by at the time...it was weird because we did not know who to flag when the food arrived. When the food came out, it was clearly a full portion...we were not only scared of paying full price, but the portion size was way to big and we ended up wasting a lot of food. When a flag down happened, we asked and they said it would be happy hour price, but they were training people cooking and food came out wrong because of this. When I read other reviews, this seems to not be true...so why would you serve this huge portion of food without warning to the customer and lose profit margin in the meantime? My pictures came out a bit weird on this one, because I got so distracted by the portion size, we started eating...there was a couple of bites out of both pastas and three meatballs total. The vodka...very bland..not that good anymore...bolognese was best..I would order again..but not that size...and the meatballs were just not that good. The sauce on them tasted canned or Chef Boyardee like...and I know that is insult...but that is truly what it tasted like. We came on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy. A lot of tables avail and also a bar area. Our waiter took our drink and food order quickly and was very attentive. We all really enjoyed our food and would def go back. Food prices were reasonable and portions were a good size. The alfredo sauce was creamy and not runny. We decided to eat here last night as it's close by and they say it's under new management. We went in and were greeted and seated right away. 5/5 stars The hostess was very nice and we noticed that there were very few people in the restaurant. We thought maybe because it was early, but during our dinner nobody else came in. The booth seats are in dire need of reupholstering. 2/5 stars We got our drinks from the very sweet server, but she didn't speak or understand English very well. Twice, my wife's simple drink request was incorrect the first time she ordered club soda with lime. What came to the table was a very flat non-carbonated water with lemon and limes. We sent it back and asked for a sparkling water with a lime in it. What we received was a glass of ice with lime juice about 1/3 of the way full and a lime on the rim and the bottle of sparkling water. So, I drank down my water, had her put the ice into my glass and fill the glass with the sparkling water instead of the lime juice concoction. 2/5 stars For an appetizer, my wife ordered the fried calamari. This was bad. The calamari was freezer burnt, dry and hard. We sent it back and didn't get it remade, having them remove it from the bill. 1/5 stars For dinner, we had the Zingara pizza. It was very good! We enjoyed it. 5/5 stars To apologize for the bad calamari, we were brought a free desert 1 the tiramisu. This was pretty good and a nice gesture. 4/5 stars. Overall, I can't in good conscience recommend this place unless you're getting a pizza to go. We will most likely not eat in again there, but may order the pizza for takeout in the future. 3/5 stars overall. read more

The calamari did not appear to be fresh, and it was extremely dry. The lobster ravioli tasted like it was a dish from Sysco that was warmed in the microwave. We went here on a weekday night and we were surprised on how slow it was inside. There was only one other family other than us. The service was great! And the food was delicious. I had the avocado salad to begin with and it was delicious. My husband had the lobster ravioli and we ate it all. I recommend both of them. We will definitely be back. We highly suggest Chicken Marsala, it was made to perfection, not too heavy and chicken was so tender, just delicious. They have also a nice wine list and selection of drinks. We went around 5pm on a Saturday, we had a reservation so didn't wait at all. The staff was very friendly. A very large group came in, so the service slowed a little, but nothing too bad. The inside is super cute and they had a live band. They also have happy hour from 2pm-6pm with really great deals. We ordered off the happy hour for drinks and food, but with the larger group, I think our server got a little confused because the items that we ordered on the happy hour were charged at full cost, but the drinks were happy hour. Not a huge deal, next time we will just make sure to say happy hour food when we order. Prices are decently priced and the food is amazing! We ordered the blue diamond margarita, espresso martini, and a glass of rose. For food we ordered the caprese salad, penne allá vodka, shrimp scampi, fettuccini bolognese, and chicken Marsala (not on happy hour menu). I will definitely be back! Arrived for our reservation and was very excited to try this place but was very disappointed. They sat us down but then told us to move because it was reserved for another couple. The service was not good at all. It took our server 20 minutes to ask what we wanted to drink and by that time I was ready to order. Bar got us our cocktail and that was probably the best thing about the place. Our food was t horrible but the branzino was definitely burnt. Service was very slow, I sat with an empty cup for 20 minutes at least. When it came to check out, and handed them a giftcard. They said we can't use it because it's from the previous owner, even though the restaurant is the same name. Food was ok. 2 of the 3 dishes we ordered were not that great. We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo which was good. The one thing I wish they did was NOT dice the chicken but the flavor was good. The penne all vodka and veal parmigiana basically had the same taste there was a slight difference in the sauce. The best thing we had was the appetizer fried calamari. Service I would give a 3 out of 5. It took a while before we got our water and order in. The server was fairly new and you could tell. there was no bus person it was just the server and owner?
