    Great menu

What a great find when visiting the area! They have a great brunch menu and so many choices to choose from! I had the most delicious Avocado Toast with over easy eggs and my hubby had the Veggie Omelette with breakfast potatoes. We were both so happy with our meals. The service was so friendly and the GM that brought our food out was super friendly and very proud of her staff. The ambiance was great, nice and clean. It was a little quiet when we went but I can totally imagine it packed in peak hours. Will keep this place in my back pocket when visiting again!

Brought my son in first thing at 7am after the park and we fell in love. The attention to detail is so great here, fresh pressed orange juice always hits the spot. Booths are comfy and best of all my some breakfast was not only cute but so delicious! I had the cali Benedict and coffee which was done Perfectly. Kudos to the kitchen. Great place to take the family

Went here for brunch the other day. The service was excellent, food was great, and I loved the interior. I am looking forward to returning and trying something else.

Sad and barely to leave a three stars reviews because I love to support local businesses, especially near the neighborhood. But our grandparents are really disappointed about their customer service from the untrained staff to neglect management. The staff knocked out the whole glass of water on our grandpa and got all his jeans wet. And we witnessed his struggling the staff are to hold the drinks on the plate, almost all coffee or cocktails are split a bit here and there. We were all wondering who'd be the next victim after our grandpa. And no one came to apologize to our grandpa which got grandma really upset. Food wise, nothing outstanding but also nothing you can complain about. Overall, everything our group ordered was legit. They have morning cocktails, freshly squeezed OJ, and some interesting seasonal drinks. I got the espresso martini which is less creamy and much lighter than regular ones, but considering it's brunch, so perfect and serve the purpose. We love the pancake (French toast) flight which you can pick 3 from the menu with reasonable price. The Ruben sandwich is good and fulfilling, and breakfast burritos are good, too. They also have outdoor seating if you opt to fresh air in fine weather.

Whidbey was just okay overall. I ordered the steak and eggs and asked for medium, but it came out well done. I also asked for crispy hash browns, and they weren't crispy at all. The servers were friendly, but they seemed really busy and the service felt stretched thin.

Food service and ambiance went above and beyond. They also had the FIFA World Cup games on the screens . Portions were large and flavorful. I definitely recommend the Salmon Benedict . I'm making this my new spot when I visit Vegas

Decent breakfast spot. Cool vibe. Food was delicious! Only thing, I never got the juice i ordered. But she redeemed herself by following up at the end and apologized for not getting my juice. (Probably because she saw me writing this review..LOL) Otherwise, service was great, quick and attentive. Will definitely be back!

I love a good breakfast and this place did it well. They have a lot of great options but I chose the chorizo omelette. I didn't realize they added jalapeños to it ( I probably stopped reading the description halfway) but was so glad they did. It gave it that extra kick to go with the chorizo flavor. It also wasn't overcooked, as many omelettes can easily be. The hash brown could have been crispier but that's just a personal preference. Also loved the choices of fruits they served as they gave the meal a sweet ending.

Great bright seating to start your breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. My husband and I ordered a bacon, pepper jack cheese, and fresh avocado omelet with the house made potatoes. Since we were sharing we also got a single pancake. We ordered a coffee and iced tea. They have some great breakfast options like bowls, omelets, pancakes and French toast, variety of eggs Benedict, sandwiches, etc. The house potatoes are little red potatoes that they halve, season, and pan fry. They are cooked perfectly and you get a generous amount. I think these were the better option over the hash browns you can get most places. Thank you to our server for recommending them. The omelet was amazing. It was probably one of the best omelets I have ever had. This was a bacon omelet. They were not afraid to add bacon or the pepper jack cheese. The avocado on top was fresh. It wasn't salty, greasy or oily. I was very impressed. The pancake was soft on the inside and had a bit of crisp to the top. Perfect. It was delicious also. This is a great place for a meet up and everyone will love the food. Enjoy!!!

I am from Whidbey island so I was surprised to see this when in Vegas! I found out that there is no relation to the island though, but still a fun find! We all really enjoyed our food. It was super cute and clean inside and each person we talked to was over the top nice! All the plates had so much food, and great taste. The pancakes and French toast were sweet but not so sweet that it was hard to finish! We really enjoyed the cream cheese filling in the French toast. The hash browns were nice and crispy and the fruit seemed fresh! My only complaint was that I asked for my fried egg yolks to not be runny but they came out over easy. Definitely didn't ruin my meal but a little bit of a bummer. The sausage links are also more of an organic kind so they aren't as salty and crispy as a regular diner, but still pretty yummy! Great place to stop for a cute breakfast/brunch!

    Dani A.

Whidbey's Daytime Eatery has become our go to spot for breakfast/brunch! I feel so good knowing that our meal is guaranteed fresh! No freezers, No Microwaves! Cage free eggs! Amazing! And you can absolutely tell because everything tastes homemade. We always order the freshly squeezed orange! It's so good!! It's always busy, especially on the weekends but the service is always great! Friendly staff & efficient service!

One of the cool things about Las Vegas is there is no shortage of unique eateries. Seriously, you could spend your whole lifetime here. Eating at a different restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and never eat at the same place twice. If you've been reading my Yelp page for a while, you know I love a good breakfast, so finding something different and new is always an adventure. I had seen this place online a couple of times and decided to give it a go. I'm so glad I did First off, I have to say that the interior of the place is immaculate. It's very warm and minimalistic, yet comforting and advice. The subway tile walls and the wood appointments give it a very cozy feeling. Mary was our server, she was awesome! Gave us some great tips and tricks for the menu, and made a bunch of really great suggestions. Super nice, super friendly, and not overbearing. I had the French toast flight of three different french toasts. I got to tell you, you'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite because they were all delicious! The food was hot, brought out in a timely fashion, and presented exceptionally well. I did try the Dan Leadbetter glass of milk with breakfast test, and this place passed with flying colors! The very best thing a restaurant can do. Bottom line? You definitely should add this to your breakfast repertoire. Great place, good food, and very friendly and helpful staff. Be sure to ask for Mary!

When you go out, most places - not all, but most - you need to say medium rare if you want medium, rare if you want medium rare, and... well, that's about it, because if you order anything from medium well to well done than you just shouldn't be eating burgers. But this place, I asked for medium rare, feeling like a medium that day, and it came out the most perfect rare I have ever had! The char on the outside of this obviously hand made patty, while still being heated through all the delicious pink inside! Oh man! I don't think I need to say much more. The wife had the chicken strips and fries, which she said were "perfectly portioned at three strips." Service was as good as any place should be. And prices weren't bad at all.

I especially loved the salmon, which was cooked beautifully, and the brown rice was surprisingly so flavorful. Paired with the avocado, it made for such a satisfying combination. My toddler's favorite was the fettuccine alfredo--she couldn't get enough of it! One of the highlights of our visit was meeting the chef-owner. He was incredibly kind, and you can truly tell how much care and love he puts into his food. That passion comes through in every dish, making the whole experience feel thoughtful and genuine. Whether you're meeting up with friends, enjoying a family meal, or simply looking for a delicious local spot, I highly recommend Salt & Spoon. We'll definitely be back!

Every time we've been told the kitchen is extremely backed up. One visit, we waited almost an hour before finally leaving because at that point it just wasn't worth the wait, especially for the price. Today we came back again hoping for a better experience, and we were told they were basically closing the kitchen because they were so backed up and asked if we still wanted to wait. Based on our previous experiences, we decided to just leave. The food is good, but after this happening three times in a row, it seems like there's a serious issue with how the kitchen is being managed. It's frustrating to drive there and be willing to spend the money only to repeatedly be told there's an excessive wait or that the kitchen can't keep up. We really wanted to keep supporting this place, but at this point it's becoming hard to justify going back.

It's large enough to serve as a light but satisfying meal on its own. The Maine lobster ravioli was solid, though I wished for more creaminess in the sauce and more distinct chunks of lobster. The filling leaned more toward a lobster cream rather than pieces of lobster. The sea bass puttanesca was baked to perfection, and the sauce was flavorful. It would have been even better with a side of pasta to soak up the extra sauce, as there was quite a bit left. I'm happy to share that the service issues from our first visit have been more than made up for and the food was once again excellent. Dinner for three on a Sunday night at 5:30pm (I hate eating that early but when you have an 80-year old in your party these are the things you deal with ). Our server Sandra was wonderful and took great care of us. She refilled our waters and soft drinks multiple times and was so friendly and welcoming. The food runners and bussers are also working very hard to take care of everything. We started with the meatballs, focaccia and the eggplant parmigiana for appetizers. They were all outstanding but the eggplant really impressed. It's perfectly tender in a lovely light egg batter. The bread is the perfect accompaniment to sop up the red sauce from the delicious meatballs. I ordered the branzino for my entree and loved it. The skin was perfectly crisp without overcooking the fish. Very well done. Wife and her mom shared a couple of chicken dishes (they only eat chicken breast in their family lol) which I didn't try but they reported as good. We shared two sides - the Brussels sprouts and the risotto. I really enjoyed the sprouts - roasted to just tender inside with crispy outside. The risotto was the only item I tried and didn't care for - it was overcooked beyond the toothsome texture you want which resulted in a bowl of mush. We wanted to try a dessert so we went with the peach cobbler pizza since that wasn't on the menu the last time we dined here. We were very impressed with the flavors and especially with the super fresh pizza dough. Definitely recommended. Overall we're so pleased to have this caliber of restaurant so close to our neighborhood and even more pleased they've made it this long being so close to Green Valley ("Where culinary dreams go to die"). Dinner for three came to $197 before tax and tip which we felt was an excellent value considering the food quality. That included two soft drinks and two glasses of good wine. We had plenty of yummy leftovers to take home.

It did start getting a little packed towards the end of our visit, though. Tucked away in the back of the restaurant is a small, cozy bar and more regular seating. We started off with some cocktails. I got myself a La Paloma and my LTP got the Fly Tai (possible pun on Mai Tai?). The La Paloma was very fruity, had a salty orange rim, and a dried orange slice on top. The Fly Tai was also fruity and had a dried rosé on top of its' frothy texture. We were also given complimentary bread along with a scoop of butter. Next, we ordered the tapas. We weren't 100% sure how big they were going to be, so we decided on one to share, one for me, and one for him. We ordered the following; Serrano Sliders, Manchego Mac and Cheese, and Tortillas a la Española. The Serrano Sliders came with crispy onions on the side that you can put on by yourself. I'm not a big meat person anymore but these sliders were totally delicious! The Manchego Mac and Cheese was excellent and probably one of the best mac and cheese dishes I've had in a long time. The Tortillas a la Española had a very colorful orange sauce drizzled on them and they were basically like cubed mashed potatoes. The portions on each tapa were very decent and weren't too big for us, so we ended up sharing all three of them due to their size. I loved everything about this place, especially the mac and cheese. The ambiance that had perfect date night feel to it and the service was excellent from beginning to end. I would love to come back again!

We received complimentary bread, and enjoyed the Pitcher of Red Sangria. We loved the fruits in it…read more The Scallops Escargot was delicious, just not what we expected. The Steak & Mushroom Skewers were tasty, and so were the Lamb Chops, and the Brocolini. The Chicken & Mushroom Paella was OK. Just be mindful that it may take a while since they prepare it fresh. Cool and open interior, with a sit-down bar to the right, with big TVs to watch games. Seating can be arranged for larger groups. Friendly service, but mechanical. Definitely not a budget place to dine, but it was a nice experience.
