I hate how I have to put a star then be able to write a review. This piece of shit place deserves no stars. Someone hit my husband car on Feb.14,2016 took the car in that day and it's March 10th and they're still not done. Called every week to check on it and they transfer us from one person to another and even forget about us so we would have to hang up and call again. My insurance company recommended Number One Collision Center after a hit and run accident with my car. They walked me through every detail and kept my in the loop of the progress. After two weeks, the repairs were complete and I can definitely say they brought my car back to life! Do not come here!! Horrible customer service the manager asked my mom if she had brain issues when we complained. All because of the following 1. dropped of the car in February got 9 weeks later! 2. They painted the car a different color. My car was off-white and they painted the repaired section pearl white. They said it looked better that way... Mmmmm ok how or why would it? 3. They asked for additional money for repairs claiming the insurance had not covered all of the cost. So I called the insurance and they sent me an itemized statement of what had been covered and how much it was very different than what Auto1 had given/showed me. 4. They hit my car and wanted me to pay for all of the damages. Who does that? 5. 2 years later the paint on my car started to peel off turns out they used very very very cheep paint. Went back to complain and said I was crazy they had no record of that repair! Please stay away if you absolutely have to go there stay on top of them make sure you review everything they will rip you off!!! read more

The one star will go to Anais. She was friendly & cant blame her for the issues. Now I read other reviews & saw that many had the same issue. TIME. My car went in on November 19, I received my car on December 24 ONLY because I was on them that last week. What ended up happening? I paid out of my pocket because ALBERT BUENO was always pointing fingers to the insurance being the reason my car was being delayed. The date my car was "going to be ready" came around & weeeeell it wasn't ready. All because of a headlight, but did they bother to let me know? NOT AT ALL. I've called numerous times & was told Albert would call back but waited hours/days & nothing. I pressured him at this point for lack of communication & other things. Now I paid out of pocket to avoid the insurance being an issue, he assured he'd send over the supplement to the appraiser that same day so I can get paid back. Innocent me went ahead & picked up my car. Well it is now January 7th & he JUST sent over the paperwork. Why? Because he left on vacation & didn't bother to advise such. Now can you blame the insurance? NO! Ohhh also, MY CAR IS NOT READY! There are so many details that they failed to fix. I call them & what happens? Albert Bueno goes ahead & takes out his stress on me, his tone was the worse. I advised him I wasn't speaking in such way but he continued. AWFUL experience. Do not take your car here!!!! I had my BMW repaired here a few years ago after an accident and the quality of their work is horrible!!! I regret that I did not take my car to a better place. Their tow truck showed up first, so that's why I ended up here. They replaced the front bumper with a different style, the paint job had flaws, the alignment of the front bumper was off, the alignment and tracking were never the same and the alignment of the hood was wrong. They completed repairs quickly, but it was too quick in my opinion. When they called me the first time to pick up my car I showed up and the hood was completely lined up wrong and so was the bumper, so I did not take delivery. I had them fix it , but they never got it 100% right. Also, a few days after I got the car back I had to take it back because the steering pump that they replaced began to leak fluid. They replaced the hoses and blamed it on the fact the new unit was to strong for the old hoses. A few days after that the steering wheel began to make a clicking noise while turning. I brought the car back and it wound up being the spring for the airbag that they had replaced. Needless to say I was not pleased. I no longer have this car, but was prompted to write this review because I just had a much better experience at a much higher quality repair shop. To put it in perspective it only took 4 weeks for Number One Auto to complete a $12,000 repair on my BMW and the most recent shop that I had to take my new BMW to took more than three weeks for a $4,000 repair. Number One Auto Center is an outstanding business, in my opinion. I would recommend them to everyone! Not only did they do a fantastic job fixing my SUV, they were communicative, cheerful, helpful, and did all the work in talking to my insurance company. They kept me informed the whole way through the process. They even made arrangements for for Enterprise, to pick me up and drop me off when my car was ready It is rare in this day and age to get the level of service and care that Number One Auto showed me. I really appreciated their professional and courteous service. I absolutely give them 5+ stars and would recommend them to anyone and everyone. They have a customer for life in me!. My 2006 Nissan Sentra was hit in a rear end accident. This was my first accident ever, and although Mercury insurance company offered to pick a repair place for me, I wanted to ask around first and pick one on my own. I liked the customer service at this place when I walked in and wanted to get my car fixed here. It turned out it is one of the places Mercury would suggest too. They took excellent care of me and my car! They called the rental car staff to come and pick me up, and had all the paperwork done in just a few minutes. Props to Enterprise downtown LB - these people are crazy busy running their small size rental place, but they were there to pick me up in no time! My car was fixed faster than expected (it was going to take 2 weeks, I got it in 10 days) and it looks like before if not better. The customer service was great, they explained everything to me and kept me updated on the process via phone and email. I stopped by on day 2 or 3 of repairs to get something i had forgotten in the car, and one of the managers showed what they were doing with the car and what they were planning on doing next. Im a woman in my mid-20s and a lot of times I dont feel safe in some of the areas around Long Beach, however Number One Auto Center was not one of those places (the area- maybe, but not the center itself). They have very nice ladies working at the front desk and everyone else was very friendly yet professional. The waiting room in the building is lovely - nothing too fancy or modern, but clean environment, some coffee and candies, TV and magazines to keep you busy while waiting. read more

I told my car there 10 day ago today I came back to pick up the guy fix my car he does not know much English while he clean my car he mass the door with the seat belt . It the hold mess and they always tell u it had that before u came already. U try to fix ur car do not try to spend the money for someone mess ur car, so if u have a good car do not take ur car to this place. This is the biggest let down ever. While bringing my car to this place was nothing but professionalism. Now they have ruined my birthday weekend. Let's start on why; I dropped off my car for a five day repair on February the 16th, approval of the repair was done on the 19th. I called for an update and an additional minor repair on 24th and was told "your car is basically ready this repair will add some time; your car will be ready on Wednesday no later Friday." Sweet I thought! Come Friday morning I call to be told, "no your car is not ready we are waiting for a lightbulb." Well that's an easy solve I change my on light bulbs and conveniently walk to my nearest Autozone to get them; keep an extra set in my glove box. I was dismissed by being told I would get a call back right away to get an update. Three hours later I call, now they can't get my alignment right and are waiting for a lightbulb. What???? At that time I had returned my rental because: they're expensive, I was supposed to have my car no later than today. I let her know this and I'm told, let me call you back no later than 3:30pm, even if I have to work late your car will be ready. I sit in my house waiting all day for a call all day. Come 4:30pm I know they close soon so I call. Well your car is not ready maybe tomorrow if not Monday is told to me. Well... what??? I said how did this go from we need a lightbulb to your car is till being worked on. I said this is completely uncool and I have plans I cannot not miss this weekend. I was promised a call right back. Well it's Saturday morning, I have had to cancel my birthday brunch plans because I have to sit here and wait. I have a good feeling they won't call back. Mostly because they don't really care if I'm happy with their customer service. I was so excited too when I choose my repair there. Now instead of being at my event and birthday celebration with my friend I get to sit here and wait for a call. It's their lack of professionalism and communication that gets me. I was flat out lied to and blown off. Unless some miracle happens I would not recommend this place, nor would I come back. I'm just praying I get my car today and that is pathetic! Number One Auto Center has aweful service. They gave me 5 different dates as to when the car would be repaired, none of which they met. They had my car for two months for minor bumper repair. They did the repairs and installed the stuff incorrectly so they took the car to the dealer (Cerritos Kia) to have them repair it correctly. To top it off the car was 4 months old when it was taken to them (2013) and when I went to pick it up the inside of the car was dirty and the cream colored seats had black oil marks all over the driver seat. I took my car to Number Number One Auto Center on three occasions, the first of which was to get an estimate for some body work. I found their estimate to be comparable to the other two estimates I received, and it included more attention to detail than the other two estimates. For that reason alone, I decided to let them do the repairs. The 2nd time I contacted them, I made an appointment to drop my car off. They coordinated my rental with Enterprise by calling them immediately upon my arrival. The estimate of time to repair my vehicle was right on point with the original time estimate I had received. During the time my car was in the shop, I received constant updates from the office to keep me informed about the progress of the repairs, from completing the body work to it being in the paint shop, etc. They were simple courtesy calls, but they were very much appreciated. During each call and status update, they shared that the job was on schedule. Upon picking up my car, I was simply amazed at the quality of the work. It was as if the car was brand new! I would receive random compliments from total strangers about how good the car looked. My last occasion to visit them was today because I had pulled a little too close to a utility truck and scratched the right front hood. Wow! Talk about a sinking feeling! One of the scratches, to the touch, appeared to be too deep to just get buffed out. I should remind you I'm talking about a Corvette with a fiberglass body. When John saw me and looked at the car, he said "What did you do?" After I explained what happened, he went to work. He started off with fine sand paper and water, and then I drove it to the paint shop where he applied 3-4 different solutions, buffing it after each application. To my surprise, the scratches came out. He finished by putting some kind of protective solution on the the car and buffing it once again. He offered to wash the car, but I declined since I belong to a program with unlimited washes. When I asked John how much I owed him, he said, "Nothing! It's under warranty!" Suffice it to say that my experience has been nothing but AMAZING! Btw, I have never written a review about anything. And judging from how long it took me to write this, I don't anticipate doing a lot of writing in the future. This experience just stuck out, so I had to write about it! read more

They have fixed three different accidents on my car, and I've been very happy with the service each time. (None at fault!). The first was no insurance, and the second two were with insurance. They were timely and affordable, and they seemed to represent our interests well to the insurance company. The fixes were like new. Also I did bring in my prior car for an estimate since it had been hit by another driver and got a very affordable estimate. Because the car was old, I was actually hoping to get an estimate that was high enough that the insurance company would consider it totalled, but Number 1 came in under that. When I took it to another shop, it was easily over the totalled amount! So, needless to say, when I wanted to keep my next car and get an affordable price, I came back to Number 1. Also fyi I'm a woman and often made to feel uncomfortable with staring, and I have never felt the slightest bit of that here. I read the other reviews, and I'm shocked at what people have said. My experience with John and Number One is very different from the negative comments. I am a real customer! My husband's car was hit in a parking lot and Mercury Ins. had this auto shop on its list. John did the estimate and treated my husband with respect and professionalism. It took about 10 days to complete the work and the side of our brand new car was in perfect condition. (His car was hit before we got the plates in the mail) The blending of the silver paint was flawless. The customer service that I experienced was fantastic. I was called with updates, and checkout was fast and easy. I believe in giving accurate details of my experience so that others have something to go on. I hope this writeup helps someone make a good decision by getting their car fixed at this shop. Word of mouth is best, and I highly recommend this auto body center. I was stuck with my truck not starting. I asked the AAA where the best place was and he brought me here. I was so happy the moment I saw on the place, it was the best. Definitely the biggest place that I've ever been to.Steve Kipp had a few of the best guys on it immediately.they offered a lifetime warranty on my parts and2 year labor warranty!...and he had me fixed in under an hour. They have immediate access to parts through their warehouse next door and are definitely a complete auto repair shop. They had a really nice waiting room actually two, with big screen TV,current issues of a few magazines, comfy individual chairs and the Christmas tree, and outdoors on benches if you want to see all of the action going on. they offered me pastries and coffee as soon as I got there. I also saw some cold water and sodas sitting on the office desk just in case I wanted that also. If you're ever stuck, I would rely on them to get you out on the road again. Number One Auto center was the closest body shop included in my insurance policy, so I decided to tyr them out. The shop foreman, Edgar Sanchez, worked with me in every instance from the beginning to the very end, dispite the several difficulties we encountered through out the entire process. 1- I was unable to complete repairs for 4 weeks. Number one held onto parts and worked with my schedule without a complaint. 2 - Two items were left out of preliminary estimate, foreman included in final repair and submitted supplemental to insurance co with out a hitch. 3- Replacement bumper and grill had defective chrome. After I submitted pictures of items explaining defects, they exchanged both parts - no questions asked. 4- Vehicle delivered w a few minor scratches (Lt passenger door/Frt bumper & plastic housing under bumper), but after everything they have done for me and I chose to live with them since they are minor, and because my truck is almost 12 years old (although cosmetically in pretty good shape). I appreciated the great customer service and warranty for workmanship. Overall, I will return again to this body shop in the event of another accident (not anytime soon hopefully!) and would recommend to friends. read more

Jose is an amazing man, in that he is honest. I was in a terrible car accident in November and was referred to him when looking for a new car. Even though Jose owns and operates a Body Shop, he also has cars for sale though he's the first one to tell you he's not a salesman. He never tried to show me a car that I couldn't afford and he was very up front about the cars' histories, very easygoing about letting me test drive them and most importantly he was friendly, as was his staff. Unfortunately I didn't receive enough money from my insurance to purchase one of his cars, as they were newer models and therefore more expensive, but let me tell you if I ever have the money to spend I will come back here because I know for certain that Jose will never sell me a lemon or something he wouldn't feel comfortable putting his own daughters in (one of which works there with him, too!)
