I wasn't doing anything fancy, just a one-color pedicure, so I didn't request anyone specifically. The technician I ended up with was nice, although she didn't really have much to say, which is fine. I did enjoy that she was very detail oriented; I felt like my toes were thoroughly scoped over and everything that was not supposed to be there was removed. I did not love the massage chairs: they were very awkward to adjust and had limited massage options. They seemed pretty old-fashioned to me. Other than the chairs though, everything was fine, the basic pedi only cost $25, and it looked like they had a lot of great OPI colors to choose from.

Once Yoyo returned, I continued getting my nails done from this other tech who was wonderful and meticulous with my nails. Well, needless to say, when I walked into the salon yesterday I greeted Yoyo, who sits by the door, and she totally ignored me. When a woman behind me walked in a few second later, she was pleasantly greeted. Her sister-in-law, Crystal, who is also a nail tech as well, decided to follow her footsteps and ignore me like the plague. I now know why there is such a big turnover of nail techs. It is because of the gossiping, petty and childish behavior which I find totally unprofessional. I will no longer give her my business or money to a place that does not value my presence and chooses to ignore me. Nail salons in Wesley Chapel are on every corner.

I waited in the bar area for a few minutes with my friend before being called. There was ZERO interaction by the nail tech. I wasn't greeted and didn't even know who I was supposed to go to. Not a good start. My friend figured it out and we sat down together. I told the tech this was my very first manicure ever. Her response "your friend will help you understand what is going on". She stuck a bowl in front of me and said nothing. This lady had zero personality and spoke maybe three sentences to me the entire time. Afterwards my friend said it was odd the tech wasn't willing to walk me through the procedure. Early on my friend was called away for their mani/pedi so I was now completely on my own. The tech wasn't very gentle as she pushed my hands into the bowl. I thought I was just rinsing them off in the lemon water. Again, no verbal communication on what I needed to do. She did a good job on the cuticles. Part way through someone brought me a white wine and pointed at my friend saying it was thanks to her. I thought my friend was treating me to a wine so I waved a thanks, only later to find out these are complimentary if you ask. My friend had to ask for me because no one offered this to me at any time. Would be nice for someone to have explained this to me when I said this was my first visit. Wondered if the techs are trained on appropriate customer service because I was not impressed at all. When the manicure was done I was asked if I wanted clear coat. This didn't seem normal for a male so I declined. She started putting things up. I saw my nails looked like sandpaper had been taken to them with no shine whatsoever. My friend later said I should have said something but I had no idea what a basic manicure consisted of. I wasn't happy and see no reason to ever have a $22 manicure again. I went home and used my $2 nail buffer to grind down the ridges I still had on several nails and shine them up. Shouldn't that be a part of a manicure? Very poor experience. The salon is nice. Lots of techs available on a Monday afternoon at 4p and 5p. They do take appointments , especially if you have a specific tech you like. Plenty of parking in this huge retail center that includes Publix, Ross, Home Sense, Play It Again Sports and Office Depot.

I immediately loved how clean it looked and smelled, not like crazy nail products. I was accepted as a walk in and told to choose my color then have a seat. There was an array of colors and types of polish to choose from, loved that. The wait time was much shorter than expected considering I was a walk The manager, Tony, filled me in and let me know we were waiting for a single nail tech to service both my mani and pedi and also gave me the heads up that I would be here a little after closing. I appreciated the heads up and overall time estimate. Once my tech was nearing availability, I was sat by Tony, in my pedi chair, asked what I would like to drink (complimentary water, wine, soda), pedi water was set and I was prepped for my tech. Yuri, my tech came over with great energy and was very attentive to my needs and vision for my nails. Yuri was very informative about the type of polish I should use for the style of French I wanted. Yuri exceeded my expectations for my pedicure and full set. I WILL be booking her in the future. Overall, I throughly enjoyed my experience and appreciate the flexibility I was given. Oh! And the price was far less than expected!! --- update I have been coming here for almost a year now and Yuri is MY tech. My husband and brother in law have since come for mani pedis and LOVED the experience. Lynn is my husbands designated tech. The ladies and Tony have met my son, a whole family affair. Needless to say we love this nail spa.
