The service here is always impeccable. I always get the same lovely employee and especially after her kind words today I felt the need to write a review. After have a bad day just seeing a smile and someone genuinely telling you to have a great day it completely altered my mood. Not the best and not the worst here. Friendly workers, decent food and clean restaurant. Service was the downfall here. We had two children with us so needed to be quick. We were sat and no one ever came to us. During the hour we were there we saw our sever three times - order - deliver - check. Went for breakfast. Disappointing experience. I ordered French toast, bacon very well done/crispy, side of home fries and coffee. Had to ask for Splenda as it was not on the table. Had to ask for milk as all they had on table was Mr Coffee creamers. They then gave me some kind of almond milk. I just wanted regular milk or cream. Good thing I didn't have a nut allergy! I didn't pursue it as I didn't want to be a pain. Brought out my friends order of omelette and home-fries and just brought bacon for me. Would have liked my whole order all at once, but okay, things happen. Also would have been nice to actually eat together at the same time with my friend! Bacon was not crispy or well done as I had asked. I didn't complain. Finally another server brings me the rest of my order. We had to ask for ketchup, napkins and a refill on coffee although it's supposed to be "bottomless". As a server, these things should be the standard. My friend did not get their toast with the meal, servers forgot. French toast was quite dry even with a lot of syrup. Bacon not done the way I asked for it. Home fries tasted like vinegar. This was 34 dollars before tip for 2 simple orders. Yuck. Won't go back. read more

The ambiance outside was really nice but as soon as we walked in the hostess was frantically running around and then once we were sat she first took our sugar then asked to take the salt but we hadn't finished getting our food so we still needed it and said no. So she went around to other tables asking for them. Our food came out after multiple people came in after us and got their food first. Then it came out wrong. I also ordered a side of fries and there were maybe 10 fries and they were cold.... It seemed like the hostess was doing what she could but there definitely needs to be an investment in some more salt shakers as well as maybe staffing another hostess to help a newer person out. read more

I took my daughter for lunch after picking her up from pre school. We were seated and waited a good 10 minutes to be greeted by a server. By that time we knew what we were going to order. Mac and cheese for my daughter and aside macaroni salad for me. It took 30 minutes to get our meal which an eternity with a preschooler. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. I was also charged for a drink refill for my daughter because she ordered milk and not a fountain beverage. Not sure I will return anytime soon. read more

I just moved into Avalon only a block away from here. I've always wanted a good bagel shop in Florida as there aren't many. Their bagels are so fresh and amazing and their vegetable cream cheese is the best I've ever had. They have a ton of great looking stuff on the menu and the staff is always really friendly read more

Finally Avalon Park has a breakfast place!! Been here since 2001 and this is the first breakfast and lunch place I can support whole heartedly. In fact it is the first one in Avalon I have ever written a review for. He has excellent bagels that are big and tasty. He does different dishes as well as the simple ones. I had an everything bagel with eggs chorizo and onions and it was very very good. I had the French toast that was so sweet it did not need any syrup!! My wife had an omelette with crispy homemade potatoes and you can tell most of it was from scratch! He as also so nice and had someone run to publix to get almond milk for my coffee and French toast as I can't eat dairy. So nice of him!!! He has some serious fresh toast dishes that include Nutella and all kinds of stuff I can't have but kids would love. After 16 years a guy who knows about food has come to Avalon Park! Sundays will now include a walk with the dogs and breakfast at NUNOS!! read more

Been here for breakfast and lunch. Salads and burgers are good but both times the eggs were burnt and dry. You can't be a breakfast and lunch only place and not know how to cook eggs. Also could use real cheese instead of processed Kraft-like cheese singles. Service is hit or miss. Rooting for improvement as Avalon could really use a place like this. I hope the owners visit Keke's nearby and see how it's done. read more

My husband and I went for breakfast this morning and we're not happy. I understand that the restaurant is newer, and that might explain why the wait staff seemed to not know what they were to doing. It took a while to get our coffee, tea and waters, but the coffee and tea were very good. We waited 20-25 minutes after our orders were placed to get our food. My husband's grits were watery, and his eggs and potatoes were crusted with nasty tasting grime from the grill. He didn't try his sausage after tasting the eggs and potatoes. My eggs Benedict were good (not great), but my potatoes were nasty like my husband's. We asked to not pay for my husband's breakfast food since he only took a few bites, and the management agreed offering to not charge for mine; however we didn't think that was fair since I ate most of the eggs Benedict. Went on a weekday morning and the place had a few seats left. The group was large with kids and everyone found something they liked. The French toast dishes were outrageously good. The service was friendly and prompt. Cute place with a good vibe. Portions were good as were the prices. Will definitely go back and try again. Check it out you won't regret. read more

I posted a review on their FB page but the owner deletes negative comments. Went here a few weeks ago. I've been along standing regular customer at Nuno's but never ever again. I walked in to Nuno yelling and berating a waitress about a ticket. He was screaming something about 10 minutes and slamming his hand on the counter repeatedly. I stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes as staff kept walking past me. Finally, I spoke up and said to Nuno is there no hostess, noone has waited on me. He said the hostess called out, everyone called out. He told me to pick any table outside. I told him all the empty tables were dirty. He asked a bus boy to clean off a table. I followed him out and he says to me...I don't know why you are so upset and why you are being such a bitch you weren't standing there for 10 minutes. I told him I was I was done and leaving. I went back in to tell Nuno what just happened and why I was leaving. He said nothing, didn't care. I start walking to my car and this bus boy charges after me following me to my car. I told him multiple times not to come near me and to stay away from me and my car. The grown man got two inches from my face and was screaming at me what a bitch I was and he's a nice person. All witness by my girlfriend who I was meeting and others outside where I was parked. I literally had to call 911 to get this man to get out of my face. A patron of the restaurant also called 911 when he saw the bus boy charge after me. He told me call the police they can't help you. I went back in to tell Nuno how this man followed me to my car and spoke to me and he shrugged his shoulders. He proceeded to tell the officers he stood by his employee and saw nothing wrong with what he did. read more
