I personally love this place . It is on the pricier end but worth it . I never have issues with reservations and service is always on point from the hostess to the servers. It's not too loud inside which is nice to hear what your friends have to say . The beef carpaccio is delicious as well as burrata. They have hands down the best burger I've ever had . This is my 3rd Nusr experience (Dubai and NYC being others) - and hey, I'm a huge fan. YES prices are crazy but everyone knows that before they come so not sure why people are complaining. One of the main reasons I love his restaurants is that everything is halal - and its very hard to find really nice, up-scale restaurants for halal eaters. I took my family who only eats halal for thier first steakhouse experience and they said it was one of the best meals they ever had. That only makes this worth it for me. We got the usual butter steaks, sides, kanafehs and everything was delicious as usual. The Miami location is def a vibe - really loud music and everyone is dressed for the club. The only reason I am docking a star is for this specific location - my resservation was at 8pm and we got seated at 845pm. Waiting 45 mins AFTER having reservations is insane to me. This has been my best dining experience in miami thus far. And easily, a top 3 restaurant in terms of food flavor. I'm shocked by the relatively low score on Yelp, but I have a feeling it is based on the food prices. I'd describe this as a special occasion restaurant as you'll pay well over $150+ per person. Pear Salad (Although I would have loved an option to add a cheese - easily shared between two) 3. Istanbul steak (easily shared between two) 4. Baklava (favorite baklava in miami) 5. White Russian drink (but pricey, and not a lot of bang for your buck as the ice cub they use takes up majority of the glass) There was a second sushi that was topped with octopus and it was almost better than the meat sushi, unfortunately the name of the dish is escaping me. The flavor was something I cannot explain, and the octopus is perfectly cooked (with ZERO chew). I'm amazed! Terrible service and mediocre burger I ordered the burger. I asked for the onions to not be grilled and a side of jalapeños. The waiter says they couldn't do that and I shouldn't modify the burger. I asked if they could check with the kitchen if this simple request was possible. I mean come on, grilled vs unrilled onions ? A SIDE of jalapeños? They said they could! What followed: - they bring my friend a perfect burger cheese melted etc.... Looked like it was off the menu - they brought me a burger with uncooked cheese. A cartoonishly large amount of raw onions stacked on the burger, and entire plate of raw jalapeños chopped so large they couldn't be added as toppings. The waiter looked at me and said "here's a your burger, it's better than ours just like you wanted" I sent it back to get the cheese melted The waiter came back several times to ask how my "much better burgers than there's" was in a sarcastic tone This was so weird The burger wasn't good. Been coming here consistently for a year now. Since my first review last year they have added a burger special that is valid 7 days a week until 5PM. For $27 you get their world class burger (more like chopped steak), fries, a soft drink, and baklava. This is a steal for meat of this caliber. Consistently cooked to my medium rare specifications and absolutely delicious. They also have a cheese steak special that I need to try. Both of these specials are not on the printed menu so be sure to tell your waiter. I had a chance to sample their Ottoman steak and it was extremely flavorful with great marbled flavor. Shared it with a friend along with a salad and potatoes. Washed it down with Efes (Turkish) beer. Excellent service. Location - Its located over the bridge from South Beach so it was a lil ways out and about $65 on uber with surcharges with traffic. Venue - From outside nothing special about it from the outside or patio as it doesn't have views,decor or architecture to admire. When you get inside the ambience is chill with mood lighting, loud music, pictures of salt bae, and spacious Floorplan. Staff - Very nice and friendly staff here at the restaurant from when you check in to leaving. Servers are always around to assist you with anything. Drinks - Well made drinks here with a great selection of liquor, the presentation for my Old Fashion was amazing how it came out in a treasure chest. Food - The selection of steaks is great. I ordered the Ottoman Steak Medium Cooked and damn it was delicious, all the other food was claimed to be great also. We also had the beef tenderloin which was out of this world. It was cooked in a plate with hot butter but the best part was the bread they serve with it, all soaked in the butter flavor. Amazing. After reading a few other reviews for this spot, I can see there's been a very mixed reaction so I'll leave my 2 cents on the good and the bad: The GOOD: They're really selling you here on the experience. The only reason we went is because we were dining with a family member who loves Salt Bae on social media... and he was genuinely thrilled with the presentation of the steak. They have a butcher(?) come out and do all the fancy slicing and throwing salt in front of you, and even let you try the salt throw if you want. Overall, the meat was very enjoyable. They don't smother it in butter like at some of the other steakhouses so you don't feel sick the next day after eating it. Great flavor. We even tried the hamburger which was fantastic if you're looking for a less expensive option. Our waitress was great, she was very personable and gave some great recommendations (without being pushy towards some of the pricier items). The outdoor deck where we dined also offers a great ambiance. The BAD: The first steak we ordered came out over cooked, even when we stressed medium rare to our waitress. Thankfully the manager came out, apologized for the mistake, and brought out another one that was REALLY rare... overall though it took a really long time. About 30min for the first steak, then another 15min to get the manager to come talk to us, then another 20min for the second steak. When you go to an extremely expensive steak restaurant, you kind of expect them to get it right the first time. When it comes to the cost of everything on the menu, I think it's pretty overpriced for what you get. I don't see any reason to go back. There's not much reasonably priced on the menu, so don't expect to visit without shelling out some serious cash (to the tune of $1000+ gold flaked steak on the menu). What we ordered: a bottle of overpriced red wine, the beef tataki starter, the Sirt steak for two (like a filet), the hamburger, and sides of the asparagus and mushrooms. The steak comes with the presentation. TLDR; if you're a big fan of Salt Bae, love meat, and willing to spend the money you'll love it! If you're hesitant and just want to try it, I'd recommend going over lunch and ordering their special that includes the burger and a baklava dessert for $30. I'm sorry to say that I was not impressed. Not taking into consideration the outrageous prices, I found the food and drinks to be average. When you take into account the prices it's mind-blowing.. but not in a good way.. just mind-blowing that they'd charge so much for it, and that anyone would come here more than once. A friend told me this place was supposed to be great and that we should go with a few couples, so we did. We had a nice time and the service was good (not phenomenal as you might expect at a place charging this much.. but good). Drinks for just my husband and I came out to $240 (and we actually selected the more reasonable options on the menu.. martinis and glasses of Duckhorn wine). You expect a larger martini for that price, but anyway the drinks were good. I was starving and asked for bread.. which they don't normally provide, so it took a little while but was good. To eat we had the tomahawk and the filet, the mashed potatoes, and the croquettes. I'm sad to say that the truffle croquettes didn't taste much like truffle at all.. they were pretty tasteless. The mashed potatoes were fine but nothing special.. but trust me you'll eat all your sides because what they say is a "steak for 2" is actually not a sufficient amount for 2 people, so you will still be hungry after your steak, sides, and dessert. The filet was good, the tomahawk was fine, frankly over cooked (in fact we ordered 2 at our table both to be medium rare and one was much more cooked than the other). We actually considered stopping for fast food on the way home, which is quite sad after spending hundreds of dollars on a nice dinner. The dessert.. that's their best course I think, though I may be biased because I love Baklava! The Baklava with ice cream was really good and the presentation of serving it was great. We also had a chocolate dessert that was also really good. Unless I have a client that really wants to come here, I have no intention of coming back to pay these outrageous prices for average food and drink. I would choose Ruth's Chris over here any day of the week. I get that the meat here should be better, but it's not cooked to par and therefor doesn't taste better. Although the service and the steak itself were still fabulous, we were not pleased with the stone crabs at all. We placed an order for oysters, which were absolutely delicious and tasted just like the ocean! Our waiter mentioned they were also offering stone crabs that evening, and so we went ahead and ordered them. The four claws arrived and seemed to have been previously frozen. It was almost impossible to get the meat out of the shell, and they were literally flavorless. In hindsight, we should have sent them back and/or had them removed from the bill. I don't know the exact price of the claws, but they were obviously not cheap. When promoting Stone Crab as a special that evening, one would assume that is because they are fresh. Honestly, the moment I saw the burger on Salt Bae's Instagram I was sold and wanted to do everything in my power to try that delish burger. Once they opened this restaurant in Miami I had to fly out from San Diego to Nusr-Et to try it. The overall experience was good, besides having to find parking and walking to this establishment. Ordered the steak tartare, the burger and the overly scrumptious Baklava. Only down side was that they did not state that the water was $8 a bottle and they gladly gave me a second bottle without letting me know first and tip was already included for two people? That's kind of ridiculous, but hey, I came out here to splurge a little and leave without having any regrets. Hello, I just came home from dinner at your restaurant in Miami. I have dined at Nusr et more times than I can count and lately, the food has been terrible. I just came back from out of town and ordered in twice since I've been here. Both times, the meat was either rancid or completely raw. It was inedible. I figured that maybe going to the restaurant would change the outcome of my experience. Unfortunately tonight was the same. The salad tasted very off. The leaves had to have gone bad. Then we ordered the Nusr et special steak, which I always get. The meat was completely raw (it looked like tuna sashimi). My girlfriend and I kindly asked them to cook it more since we weren't about to eat raw meat. The waiter seemed flustered and threw the meat back on the hot plate. Once again, the meat was STILL completely raw inside. He went to the manager since it was apparently too frustrating for him to cook it properly. After being cooked for the 3rd time, the meat was completely burnt and flavorless. We couldn't even enjoy it. We were clearly very displeased with the service and food. Our waiter just threw the check at our table and walked away (as if we did something wrong). The manager did not try to compensate for this whatsoever which we found not only unprofessional considering this is supposed to be a fine dining experience, but insulting. I never feel the need to leave reviews or contact someone because of an experience like this, but I'm just so distraught and disappointed in my experience that I felt the need to direct this to someone who can be made aware of the declination of this restaurant. I am a business owner myself. I own a few businesses, including hotels. I am well aware of what the standard of what hospitality should be. I had a reservation made for my girlfriend's birthday. We arrived about 15 minutes early and we had some trouble getting a decent table. They tried to seat us right at the entrance to the restaurant next to the hostess stand. We refused to sit there. The Manager did an awesome job relocating us inside the restaurant where we were MUCH more comfortable. The food is amazing. We had the tenderloin special for two & it was superb. The only reason for 4 stars was my wine. I got 1 6oz glass for what a whole bottle should cost ($36) and it was old. I know wine & could tell it was an old bottle that had been open for a couple of days. The sommelier did not believe me & did not replace my skunky wine. I will return. read more
