    Eggplant parm with linguini
    Mylene T.

Nutley Diner is a hit or miss for me. Pros: Service is quick, plenty of parking, large menu and daily specials. Lobster bisque soup was good when they offer it on the menu. Cons: Food is ok nothing that I plan to order over and over again. What have I eaten here that I can remember: Eggplant Parm with linguini barely had any sauce and was bland. It came with a side salad and I really liked it with creamy Italian dressing. Meatloaf was ok and bland as well If I come to Nutley Diner, I'm going to just come for breakfast next time. No longer interested in dinner.

Decided to try the Nutley diner for breakfast and it was GREAT. I got the New Yorker bowl with steak, eggs, home fries, mushrooms, peppers and onions. The bowl was super flavorful and delicious and I was really surprised by the quality of the steak. Our waitress was super nice and gave us super fast service. The menu was so awesome it was hard to choose what we wanted so we will be back!

Typical old school diner fair, what they have going for them is their great staff who are all very friendly.

    Mexican Coffee

The Mexican Coffee was pleasant. Not enough to give a buzz but good nonetheless. The Fried Chicken Panini was good but lacked that spice that was stated in the menu. Breakfast panini was spot on. No complaints. The waiter was always prompt and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was quite comfy. Overall, definitely coming back.

Deluxe Baja Turkey Burger (white meat)

First time trying this diner. I have to say that while it was crowded for a Saturday afternoon, we were seated fairly quickly. The BIG win? The Baja Turkey Burger! I haven't been able to find a place that makes a turkey burger from breast meat. I definitely can't do a frozen, ground turkey patty. I saw a photo on Yelp but the waitress wasn't certain so she asked for clarification. It was delicious and so were the huge, buttery, crispy onion rings. Then, I looked over and saw they serve drinks! Nothing like a cold beer with a delicious burger. I had already ordered a root beer, so next time for sure. If you're looking for a juicy turkey burger made from breast (white) meat, check it out!

The food came out very quickly and it tasted great. The waitress was very nice as well.

Order from here all the time the pasta and the chicken soup are my favorite, but I'm really disappointed in the Caesar salad because there was just way too much dressing!!! :(

Pastrami Sandwich , chicken noodle Large Soup , chocolate Traditional Milk Shake

Very crowded, service was a bit slow but nice staff... We loved the chocolate shake, chicken noodle soup, breakfast burrito and rice pudding. My boyfriend had the pastrami sandwich but said it was dry. A little pricy but good food.

Ordered delivery and they added an extra topping of hair to my panini. That was the end of my dinner.

Great food and vibes. The place was packed for a 2pm but always safe to find a seat at the bar. Got 2 eggs platter with chicken sausage and food was out in a few minutes. They are quick and they are good. Looking at the eggs I can tell they were going to be special lol. Home fries were seasoned more than other places and the chicken sausage was average. best part I had here is the coffee. I've had diner coffee all around and it is generally as bad as hospital coffee but the coffee here was great. Had a second cup. Service was great! Emma who helped me was very warm and attentive but not hovering. Def coming back here again

I have to say that I am not the biggest fan of dinner's but this place is something else. Let just start with the fact that it's always packed. That for me is a good sign of the food and service that's about to come. Price is fair and the food is delicious. Nice and clean place where you can come with the family or friends for a good bite. I will definitely comeback to this place.

We were greeted immediately upon entering and made to feel incredibly welcome in such a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The menu is impressive, offering a beautiful selection of everything from breakfast to dinner. I personally loved the blueberry pancakes, and the scrambled eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. My loved one thoroughly enjoyed the chicken scampi; the ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality. Our only small note for next time would be to request a little extra spice to kick it up a notch, but the flavors were already spot on. A few other highlights: * Cream of Turkey Soup: Absolutely delicious and a must-try! * Reese's Pieces Cheesecake: We ended our Sunday evening with this, and it was the perfect finale. The plate was even decorated in such a festive way - it truly felt special. What really made the night, however, was our server, Alexandra. She was a total professional and an absolute gem. You can tell she is an asset to the team and well-loved by the regulars. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. We already can't wait to return! God bless you all!

This one pound mozzarella stick definitely fulfilled that criteria. It was so gigantic it was almost like getting a workout in just to lift it. The outside was heavily breaded with bread crumbs and the top was sprinkled with parmesan cheese and chopped scallions. Even the dipping cup was supersized to accommodate the diameter of the stick! Typically, I would have posted until after my I finished my oversized food compilation project. However, it's being posted early because The Brookdale is permanently closing its doors. I am truly sad to hear they will no longer be in business, but their three sister restaurants at 1109 Broad Street will still remain open. #thebrookdale #thebigcheese #bloomfieldnj
