I sampled food from here for a takeout order. The food took some time to be ready, but nothing terrible. The foods I tried are below. Breakfast Burrito - This was what I initially ordered. The burrito was packed. There was a lot going on here, but it was very good. The flour tortilla had scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, and shredded pork served with home fries, salsa, and sour cream. The shredded pork to my surprise was what made this burrito what it was. It was succulent and juicy. The pork went nicely with the rest of the ingredients. The home fries were seasoned well too. Banana Pecan French Toast - The French toast was topped with bananas, pecans and apricot cinnamon sauce. The sauce was the highlight here. It had just the right amount of sweetness. Without the sauce, the toast would have been too dry and have no flavor. French Toast Napoleon - This French Toast was filled with strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. It was far too dry. Lots of regular maple syrup had to be added. The fruit did appear to be fresh. The toast needed some type of sauce like the one previously mentioned. read more

If I could rate this experience 0 stars, I would for obvious reasons!! We ordered a chicken finger wrap and balsamic chicken wrap and received undercooked, chewy, inedible chicken!! It was 32 dollars for two wraps that we couldn't eat, we called them to let the manager know and all she said was "thank you I'll let the chef know". Was eating here and wasn't receiving any attention from anyone and have been trying to order for 15-20mins and the place was not busy. After ordering , food quality is below average, and I don't know who the old white guy is that we had to deal with but he was VERY RUDE to us, we had parked in the diner parking area and started walking to the diner and explained to us aswell that we were parking on the wrong area and told him we were going to the diner to eat, his words were "I wasn't born yesterday I'm not stupid". My boo and I just moved down the street from this diner a couple weeks ago. Last night we got drunk and woke up with a hankering for diner breakfast. We've walked past the Nutley Diner and it's always poppin! for breakfast we got a classic combo of Disco Fries (bc that's just hangover medicine), the brooklyn omelette, and the jalapeño breakfast bowl. Now this photo is after we stuffed our bellies with as much brekky goodness as we could. Sharon, our waitress, was so nice and very attentive. There's a different vibe here at the Nutley diner than there is in any other diner. Everyone looks happy to be here, and treats you like family. Have been back several times, basically once a week for breakfast or lunch. Just wanted to say each and every waiter or waitress we have ever had has been terrific. Our food has never disappointed either. We have eaten here probably two dozen times since my last review and we have never had a complaint of any kind. SPOILED, GRAY EGGS: I went here with my boyfriend the other day. I got a club salad that was $15, SUPER OVERPRICED. It had cold cuts in it and some veggies. Def cost them $2 to make. The eggs in the salad were SPOILED and the yokes with GRAY. This means they had to have been out for days. When I showed the waitress, she was confused since she thought they were still ok to eat. How can you work in the food industry without knowing how to tell what spoiled/expired/rotten food looks like? Monday nights are Steak Night! $25 gets you: soup or salad, pasta vodka or stuffed mushrooms, choice of steak, usually with 2 sides (i prefer the ribeye), and dessert! Long time customer, been going here since it was the Park Diner. The prices are just getting out of control. I ordered 2 cajun chicken sandwiches on wraps and a Malibu panini. Total cost? $62... that's right, $62 for 2 wraps and a panini. We ordered take out and their receipts aren't itemized so I contacted them telephonically to inquire about the ridiculous price... i was told there is an upcharge to turn a sandwich into a wrap (ridiculous) and the spicy mayo with our wraps was extra. I do not recommend this place at all. I lived in nutley for 20 years and this was always the go to spot. Last night this was not the spot. I have been in bed and the bathroom all day. I 100% got food poisoning from the breakfast sausage. I have been throwing up all morning and recommend you go else where. This place has been going slightly down hill little by little. One time they forget to bring the dressing, then the wrong dressing. Nutley Diner Recently refurbished, the Nutley Diner is on the site of the old Park Diner. The renovations are a welcome change from the old, tired former diner. There is an open feeling which makes the actual seating seem more comfortable and inviting. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We've been going here for several years 4-6 days a week. There's been food and order issues as to be expected. Ordered the California breakfast without bacon but upgraded to turkey sausage (extra fee). After having several bites, I realized the sausage had a freezer burn taste. So I took it off the sandwich. It was a Sunday and very busy , by the time the waitress came to the table I was almost finished. I asked if they could comp the sausage and it wasn't good and was clearly taken off the sandwich. They have plenty of outdoor seating and the tables are a good distance apart. At the "entrance" there is hand sanitizer available for guests! The service and food is the same as always; great! Burger wasn't bad but the waffle fries were inconsistent. Some had a good crunch, others were soggy. The meat on the loaded nachos had an odd taste so we returned them with no issue. First time coming to this diner with my boyfriend and all I can say is We are looking forward to coming back here again. They give you really good size portions. We couldn't finish all the food it was so delicious we wish we had more room in our stomachs. I did ask for scrambled eggs but got over easy which was ok because it was delicious and it came with home fries, turkey bacon and toast. My boyfriend had an Mexicana omelet with chicken sausage and pancakes and he enjoyed it. A few weekends ago we were in search for some corned beef hash and stumbled upon this diner! Once I saw my homie Neal's review, I knew we were all set and good to go! The diner is in the "busy" area of Nutley on Centre street. They have their own private parking lot and I suggest to avoid wait times go a little early or a little late around people's main dining times. The food was great! The portions were on point! The service was awesome and the price was banging! The decor is pretty cool too! You must try the strawberry cheesecake, it fluffy creamy and just enough of sweet!
