I came into this shop attempting to find my forever nail shop. My 1st appointment was acrylic nail remover and new set put on. What I didn't like was their technique in removing my acrylics -- they took an acrylic nail from their drawer and painfully removed off my acrylics one by one. This was my 1st experience getting acrylics removed and assumed it was the normal process. It was very painful and my natural nails became very sensitive. After the appointment I told a few friends about it and they said acrylics should be removed with soaking them and not by plucking them/pulling them off. I do not plan on returning back to this shop. I'm giving them 3 stars because the shop was clean and the staff was friendly, and the new set was nice but I worry what other shortcuts they're taking that could be damaging and painful to the nails. read more

I had a good nail lady- she was nice, but my nails didn't last long. The longest set I had lasted 2 weeks, and every time I got them done by her, the shorter they lasted. I gave up when my nails started coming off only after 3 days. I'm not scratching walls or soaking my nails in water 24/7, so I didn't understand why they weren't staying. It always lifted around the cuticle area or on the sides of the nail and once that happened, my OCD kicks in and I just start picking at them. For $60, I expected them to last more than 3 days. I called NV-US nails with no high expectations and set an appointment. I would be happy if my nails lasted 5 days at this point. I called and a woman answered. Gave her the day I wanted to come in and she gave me a time. I asked her for an appointment with Ty because that's who Yelp said to go to. There's a parking lot in front of their business so I didn't have to look around for them. Right across from Big Lots and next to Sweet Pea. The place smelled of your usual nail salon, it was cute, spacious, and clean. Has a waiting area in the front with a wide variety of nail colors. A couple of nail and pedi stations and their sterilization units in the back (great to see). I believe there's a brow tech room in the back as well. Bathroom is all the way at the back of the business. Walked in expecting hella people waiting or 1 nail tech working on 5 people at the same time, but no that wasn't the case. There was 1 guy working on 1 customer. I was already amazed. I came in said my hello and since I already knew what I wanted I just sat and waited for my appointment time. I looked over at the price wall and just rolled my eyes because usually prices there never match up to what the price is at the end so I gave it no thought. When it was my turn, Ty asked me what I wanted and he began to work. Quiet at first, but when I told him my past nail experiences he began to talk and laughed about them. He sarcastically said' "I'll give you 4 days" since I told him my last set only lasted 3 and I just laughed. (Little did I know, his set lasted a month.) Sidney and Ty take what they do seriously, but they also are outspoken and like to joke around. Going to this place is like going to my girlfriends house and doing each other's nails (with better outcome tho lol). They're a young couple who take pride in their work and they do a great job. Ty is meticulous and is border line OCD when he does your nails. During the whole process, he made sure I was satisfied with how my nails looked so far and anything I did or didn't like, he made sure to fix it right then and there before continuing. Sidney did my gel pedicure and it's almost been 2 months and they're still on (don't judge me) she's hilarious and makes you feel like you've known her for years. So if you want to unwind, have a good chat with some down to earth people while getting your nails done for the price that it actually states on the price menu, come here. They honor your appointment time, you're not rushed, they don't butcher your cuticles, they sterilize their instruments, your set last for hella fucking long, and you have a good laugh. read more

Especially since my nails were in bad shape ( I can be a nail biter sometimes) I was happy with the result and quality of the salon all around. When I first had my nails done they were nice and my pedicure was outstanding. By the third visit service was horrible and there was no consistency with the shape of my nails. I always like almond and the last visit I walked out with oval shape. Another thing there is too much talking and not concentrating on my nails. I usually come here and get acrylic full set and the price is usually justified. This time I came to get acrylic overlays in my natural nails. Acrylic overlays are just acrylic put on your natural nails.. the nail tech charged me 45$ and usually they start at $20 or at the most $35. 45$ is ridiculous. Came in today for the first time and I came out pleased with my nails. I got their dip powder service today for the first time also so I wasn't sure what to expect. I really liked how nice they turned out. I'm a big fan of natural looking nails. It's a little thicker than a gel manicure but thinner than acrylic in my opinion. Ty is very talented, detail-oriented, and skilled and that's why everyone likes his work. Sidney was really nice and accommodating. She nicely responded to all of my questions. Customer service here is better than any other places I've been to. The star taken off was due to pricing. It's a little more expensive than I'm comfortable with. However, they will get the job done with excellent results. I really appreciate that they took their time and didn't rush at all. There's limited parking so try to come a little early for a spot. Terrible job and service. This was embarrassing. I work in the service industry and I hate complaining about shabby service but when the work is bad too I need to make sure people aren't mislead. My mother and I made an appointment for pedicures with regular polish. We arrived on time and we sat with our feet soaking for over 30 minutes. When they finally got to our nails they did a bad job shaping them and painted them poorly but that wasn't enough to make me complain. At that point I just thought I wouldn't come back. My mom got her toes done first and sat there for 30 MINUTES waiting for them to dry. She barely touched them to check and they were so thick and sticky the paint came right off. The owner came by and sprayed them and said they were fine. My mom then touched them again and they were still extremely gooey. She had to leave, we had been the an hour and 30 minutes already and so he took all the polish off. I stayed another 30 minutes and my nails still weren't dry. The owner had already left at this point without giving me notice or charging me. I needed to leave so I asked the remaining nail lady how much. They charged us $35 and $40 (they fixed a broken toe nail of mine for using acrylic). I was shocked that they charged my mom full price even after the nail polish issue. Also, $35 is a pretty premium price for a pedicure in Vacaville. It better be one of the best. I asked to talk to the owner and when I talked to him he said he charged my mon full price because they charge $35 even if you don't get paint. I went back and forth with him for awhile saying that we both got very poor service and my mom didn't get what she wanted and I was surprised they thought this was exceptable. My review is way past overdue. I've been going here for a long time. And at the risk of sounding sexist, Ty is the only man I will let near me when it comes to hair, nails or cosmetics. As a general rule, I have had horrendous experiences with male stylists. So... I was wary the first time I came in, and it was only the weight of all the great reviews that kept me there. The salon is always immaculate. Ty is beyond a perfectionist. He's a man of few words, his wife Sydney is the PR and he is the talent (Sydney gives good pedicures). They both have good senses of humor and their kids are adorable and well behaved. There are absolutely NO shortcuts taken here with your fingernails and acrylics. And my nails always looked great and lasted 3-4 weeks. Truly. All of them. And I am beyond hard on my nails. Other places, I was lucky if they lasted 2 weeks. The only things to be aware of are their policies for cancellation, the fact that you can't really do walk-in for Ty, you have to book in advance. And you need to be respectful of their time, as they are of yours. I haven't worked with anyone at the salon except Ty for my finger nails and Sydney for the occasional pedicure. read more

I want to start off with saying that getting our nails done is a luxury, and with that being said, you get what you pay for. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years and I am VERY particular about who does my nails and the service I receive. I was a walk-in customer that wanted to rush Harry through a "quick 25 minute gel pedicure" because I had an appointment next door to get my hair done. Harry professionally declined my request because of the pride he has in his work and saying that he did not want to rush through the service is what made me decide to come back to give this salon my business because of the integrity Harry had of not wanting to rush. I'm so glad I came back because I found out the quality of work is beyond the mediocrity I'm used to at other salons. He took his time with my gel pedicure - taking off my previous gel, cutting down, putting the scrub & giving an exceptional massage - & took his time with my brand new full set that I am in LOVE WITH all because he takes PRIDE in his work. He was so friendly and accommodating, I felt like I was visiting a friend's house to get pampered and taken cared of. Again, the price for the brand new full set with marble design & gold flakes was fair for what I requested, and the gel pedicure price was fair for the service I received. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR so if you don't have the time or funds, then honey go on to your regular nail salon... that just leaves more appointments for us. ;) read more

Terrible service. The lady who did my pedicure rushed through it even though there were no other customers. She kept going to the back room and stayed there for a few minutes before returning. The water was way too hot and when I asked for it to be colder she switched it to cold but the water was already almost filled, so basically still hot! I asked her to cut the sides of my big toes because of ingrown nail. She said ok, but didn't even cut all the way through. When painting my nails, she painted my nails so light you could see my nail. She asked if I wanted another coat after applying two and I said yes. She didn't even clean around my nails. The towel she put over my legs were so freaking hot as well!
