4/24/25 - Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Pakora, Samosa, Rice, & Salad

Worth Every Bite This place is hands down bomb. It's so good that I ordered from them two days in a row, that should tell you everything. I usually go for the chicken tikka masala lunch special, which comes with basmati rice, plain naan, and a small salad. It's super filling. The rice is plain, but honestly, it works well as a base when I'm not dipping naan into that rich, flavorful sauce. The star, of course, is the tikka masala. Creamy, perfectly spiced, and packed with tender chicken. I've also tried a few appetizers: Chicken Pakora: Absolutely love it. Bursting with flavor, mildly spiced, and fried just right. Best way to describe it? A bundle of joy in your mouth. Tikka Masala Wings: This one's a toss-up. The flavor? Amazing. But texture-wise, they were too soft and heavily sauced for my liking. I prefer my wings fried hard. That said, my husband was all in. So if you like saucy, tender wings, these might be for you. Samosas: Unfortunately, a miss for me. They were super dry, even when I tried dipping them in the tikka masala or pairing with rice and naan. Just didn't hit. This is a nice change from our usual Indian takeout. Flavorful food, generous portions, and solid lunch specials. Just a couple tweaks needed on texture for some items, but I'll definitely keep coming back. Rating: 4.5

Small restaurant but a very nice spot to have a nice quiet dinner. I've only did take out from here and ordered thought the restaurants website for pickup. The place is a bit small but very clean with spaced out seating. The lady who helped me with my pickup order was very nice even after we ran into some order issues which got swiftly resolved. My chicken tikka masala was good and actually had a good amount of chicken in it unlike some other places which give very little chicken for some reason. Also the side order of naan was very good as well. They have a quite large menu and plenty of dishes to choose from. I will definitely come back here again and dine inside!

From crispy pani puri to creamy tikka masala momos -- every bite was a flavor explosion! NYC Tikka Masala served up an unforgettable freshly made feast that hit every craving and then someThe tikka masala momos were a genius fusion!!! -- juicy, spicy dumplings drenched in creamy, tangy goodness. This was such a surprise and. Worth a try!!The chai was the perfect warm-up: aromatic, cozy, and perfectly sweet. Our server, Laxmi was so kind and so caring!! We had such great service and even met the owner!! The chicken tikka masala with garlic naan was a classic done right -- bold, buttery, and bursting with flavor. The lamb biryani? Aromatic and tender, with just the right kick. Beware... Mild is still pretty spicy...but in the best wayWe couldn't get enough of the crispy pani puri, flaky aloo samosas, and finger-lickin' chicken wings.

NYC Tikka Masala in Flushing, isn't just food it's an experience. From the moment you walk in, the aroma wraps around you. It's a small, cozy spot, but every inch is filled with warmth, love, and real integrity. You wait patiently because they're cooking for you not rushing, not cutting corners. And when that first bite hits? You taste the care. You taste the energy. You taste the truth. This isn't fast food. This is soulful Indian food. You'll leave full not just in body, but in spirit. Grateful and Nourished.

Got the lunch special: lamb tikka masala and the butter chicken with regular naan and butter naan. Overall, a great experience. Everything taste fantastic. We also got the mango lassi and the shikanjavi. They're pretty good but the only bad thing would probably be wait time and customer service isn't the best but this is probably one of the better Indian restaurants in flushing.

This new Indian spot just opened not so long ago, a new addition to the neighborhood. I decided to order take out for lunch with some of my coworkers. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Chicken Shai Korma and two orders of Garlic naan which was 8 pieces. Even though I don't often order Indian cruise. I find the lunch very tasty and delicious. The garlic naan was my favorite, dipping into the curry was the best. The price and portion made sense, $14.99 for a order of chicken tikka masala with rice, seemed to be like a lunch special. I called in to order and the lady who picked up was very polite and informative, told me the order came with rice, and asked if I needed extra plates with utensils along with the order. I would definitely give a shot next time maybe do a dining experience.

We were really craving Indian food and didn't want to make the trek to Jackson heights so decided to try this new Indian spot in flushing. Came here for dinner on a Wednesday night, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves minus some delivery guys coming in and out. We ordered garlic naan, aloo tikki chaat, chicken tikka masala and saag paneer and enjoyed all of our dishes - took the leftovers home and the leftovers tasted even better the next day! I had to deduct one star because there is no bathroom, that's right... they do have a small sink outside to wash your hands though. I was taken aback by it honestly because I can't remember the last time I've been to a sit down restaurant with no bathroom and it was honestly kinda stressful getting through my meal knowing I didn't have a bathroom to use so didn't order any drinks. Will definitely come back for takeout or delivery, they are on Ubereats and DoorDash!

The Iddly were pillowly soft and was good was the sambar and mint chutney. The Masala dosa was good with the potato filling but I liked the rava dosa better the onions were so buttery and sweet and went really good with the mint chutney and sambar. The samosas were the best samosas I've ever had. The staff were really friendly. It was relatively quiet except for the bollywood music playing in the background. All the food was amazing. We concluded the end of our meal with mango ice cream and almond saffron ice cream. My recent visit revealed a restaurant that prioritizes hospitality over culinary perfection. The tomato onion uttappa, which I had high hopes for, fell short of expectations. The ingredients seemed hastily chopped and unevenly distributed, lacking the finesse one expects from a traditional South Indian eatery. The seasoning was notably absent, leaving the dish feeling flat and uninspired. In contrast, the medu vada proved to be a pleasant surprise. Served piping hot within five minutes, these crispy lentil fritters were above average, offering a satisfying crunch and traditional flavor. The filter coffee, a staple in South Indian dining, was a highlight - rich, aromatic, and prepared with care. What truly sets Dosa Hutt apart is its incredibly welcoming service. The staff's courteous and familial approach made me feel instantly at home, effectively overshadowing the minor culinary missteps. Their pricing is refreshingly reasonable, with a delightful bonus of offering mango lassi at just $2.50 - a price point that's hard to beat in New York City. While the food might not be consistently exceptional, the restaurant's charm, affordability, and warm hospitality make it a worthwhile destination for those seeking an authentic South Indian dining experience in Queens. I'll be back to try their other dishes which I couldn't try during this visit.

Unfortunately, this was not a great experience... However, I'm going to touch base on both the good…read moreand the bad, although at this point I do NOT plan to return here. Pros: seated quickly, ambiance was lovely, appetizers came out quickly, the Lasuni Gobi was delicious. CONS: My husband and I waited 40+ minutes for our main dishes (dal + rice and the Paneer Tikka dish) to arrive....... And we watched the people who were seated AFTER us receive their MEAT dishes before we got our ours and we most definitely ordered first. We asked our server MORE THAN ONCE what was taking so long and we got the same answer each time "I've told the kitchen to hurry, it'll be out soon" To make matters worse, the person who brought us our dishes (maybe the chef? Maybe the manager?) brought them without the naan that we ordered. When I asked, "where's our naan?" He had the audacity to rudely say "it'll be out in a few minutes", as if we hadn't already been waiting 40+ minutes for vegetarian food that I could've whipped up myself in 20 minutes. His attitude towards us was so unacceptable considering the circumstances. We have absolutely no idea what happened or why it took so long for our simple dishes to arrive. It's especially perplexing considering that the people who came in AFTER us got their meat dishes first. The server apologized and decided to bring us some kulfi (ice cream) to try to make up for it, but we try to avoid eating sugar so that was useless. I felt bad for the server because it wasn't his fault that our food took a ridiculous amount of time to make it to our table, and it's not cool that a manager never stepped in to try to reconcile. As someone who waited tables for 8+ years, I was shocked at the lack of support this server received from his management team. The dal and paneer tikka dishes were average tasting at best (and overpriced), making another trip here completely unfathomable, most especially considering how we were treated. Note to management: do better. Support your staff and step in to reconcile with unhappy guests if this happens again.
