[[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly neighborhood coffee shop with plenty of space for casual coffee lovers and available board games and books.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Disappointed. I came out of my Yelp review hiatus to leave feedback to hopefully get to the owners. It's definitely a location that can use a cute coffee shop, and this place has potential, but it's not there yet. Issues this morning (10am on a Saturday) -there's no paper menu or description of items so we had to ask what was in everything one by one. I don't know what "undergrad" or "oldie but goodie" is under the all day menu, for example. -only enough bread to make 1 order of French toast -no milk. They were waiting on a shipment of supplies. Only oat and almond milk available. -bacon is overcooked (I should have taken pictures, but I didn't. There's another picture up of a sandwich with bacon, you can see it's overcooked) -my BEC came on sandwhich bread, not a bun. Maybe this was a supply issue too -processed cheese (I realize that's common in NYC, but they have the opportunity to elevate their offering) -[[HIGHLIGHT]]packaged plastic utensils to dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -asked for water for our toddler, the staff asked if she needed ice because they have to charge for ice. Mind you, this is after we spent $50. We didn't want ice though because it's the middle of winter. -husband ordered the "Toast + Things", which we were told is French toast plus eggs and bacon. After we paid and sat down, the cashier/barista was on the phone with someone (apparently the owner). When she got off the phone she apologized and said that she charged us wrong because this item is new, wasn't loaded in their computer yet and she actually needed to charge us an additional $5 for the bacon and eggs. Also apologized that the signage doesn't have prices. -as I'm siting here writing this review, a gentleman came in for coffee and was told that they can't make coffee right now, only espresso drinks. -asked for a to go container for the toddlers grilled cheese. The cashier had to ask for a piece of foil from the cook to wrap it. Sigh ETA, as I left I saw they were using "buttery spread", so if you care about processed products, and food quality, you may want to know that. Also saw a bacon package that said "beef bacon". I'm not sure if I was eating beef bacon. As I said, it was overcooked and maybe if it was beef, that explains the difference in color and texture. I do eat pork, many don't. Having only beef bacon could be a selling point, but please be clear with people about what they're eating. Positives -ambiance -location -$3.5 Americano -husband enjoyed his French toast

Brand new hidden gem coffee shop in Crown Heights. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the atmosphere here and the people are so nice![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coffee is delicious and the food is even better. Tried their B.E.C (Bacon Egg and Cheese) pictured below. It was outstanding, so delicious. Can't wait to come back! Also their coffee syrups are always so good! A must try!

Great Neighborhood cafè. I visited for the first time this morning. It felt like I stopped by a friend's house for a coffee and a chat. Thanks for saving me the additional two block walk and craziness at the Dunkin Donuts down street. The coffee was amazing but I'm excited to try something new the next time around. Oh and the breakfast sandwich was made with real eggs, fresh ingredients and came hot off the grill. GREAT ADDITION TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

the bacon egg n cheese sandwich was life changing: eggs were fluffy, beef bacon was so crispy, and a hot sauce to cut through all the decadence.

The burger was fresh, juicy, and not greasy at all just really well made. The tater tots were crispy and delicious without feeling oily, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere was just as good as the food comfy, relaxed, and full of a really nice vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy your time. On top of that, the service was amazing. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'd go back to!

And I gotta say, the bartender is doing work. He's the only one working and the whole place is filled up and he manages it very well. They have food and drinks, mocktails included. I love it here. It's very cozy and homey. But just remember to be courteous, that this is a business so it's okay to do work here but if you're gonna be chilling for a while make sure you're getting some drinks every hour or tipping the 'tender. Also careful with some of the hot drinks they can be really.... hot. I burnt the roof of my tongue on my hot cider drink.

You think they are going to just hand you your dreams? I don't want a treat. I didn't earn a treat. A black coffee is like running on an empty stomach. It puts you in a different mindset. Survival mode. On the hunt. I gotta earn the food. Imagine what they would say about me if they saw me drinking a dirty chai latte in the morning. Imagine what I would say about myself. I didn't earn that. I need to stay close to God. All this to say I tend to stay far away from hyped up coffee shops but my big bro wanted to hit Rhythm Zero, and he is big bro for a reason, so I obliged. I entered into a small space that feels vast. High ceilings. Minimal furniture. Huge Renaissance-style art on the walls. An environment tailor made for you to lose sight of yourself and order their $8 Coco Americana. I won't lie. I thought about it. A moment of weakness. "It's just an americano that swaps out standard water for chilled coconut water..." No. I went to the bathroom and looked myself in the mirror. COWARD! Who do you want to be? I walked out. It's not giving community coffee shop, it's giving gtfo as quick as you can. The decor and vibe just felt so off. Giving coffee shop art studio museum but in the worst way possible? Went with a friend and we both immediately felt a bad energy. The person taking our order was just a little stand off ish. We just wanted to get our drinks and get out as quick as possible. We got the blackberry matcha and a latte. You're not going for the matcha, because the matcha flavor isn't really there ~ the blackberry was fine, super sweet though. Had 3 espresso shots in the latte yet it was still somehow so watered down and had an odd aftertaste. Big yikes overall, we could've dealt with the weird pretentious vibes if the coffee was actually good. Only upside is TakuSando is a block away. EDIT: For Bri Can totally understand if people have off days, maybe the baristas were having a bad day, it happens. Either way, the review reflects what we experienced. We had heard great things but unfortunately felt unwelcome from the moment we ordered, whether intentional or not ~ the energy felt cold to us and that changed the experience. & we just didn't love the drinks. You're def right, Rhythm Zero just isn't our cup of tea and that's totally fine. Hope yall continue to do your best and serve the fan base you have :) Love small businesses, don't love a weird Yelp guilt trip (which seems like a pattern for you across all 3 locations...)

It provides the perfect setting for Barzakh Cafe, a social club/gathering spot of sorts for the pan-Maghreb community across New York. We came for the couscous celebration on July 4th. The owner is Mauritanian, and the couscous reminded me of the ones I've eaten in the northern reaches of Senegal, with tender potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. I had been hoping for something closer to kosksi, but the dish was enjoyable nonetheless. We sat outside in the casually-laid out backyard while hearing songs blending French and Maghrebian Arabic emanating from inside. Barzakh also hosts events from outside the region, including qawwali nights and the like. It is a rare unique space in the neighborhood.
