Never have your car repaired here. Our vehicle went into their shop following an accident, covered by insurance, and remained there for 6 MONTHS before they ever touched it. Waiting for parts they said. We received an email saying they got the parts, yay, right! So we wait a few days, never hear anything so we call Nyle Maxwell and suddenly nobody knows what's going on with our car. I'm not sure how many days Nyle Maxwell was going to let pass before they informed us that when they started our car, which was running fine when they got it, the engine seized. Immediately it becomes a finger-pointing match between the insurance and Nyle Maxwell about who's liable. I'm sitting here like, certainly we're not; the car was running fine when Nyle Maxwell received it and we haven't even seen it in 6 months. Well, as soon as it becomes clear the insurance isn't going to cover it, Nyle Maxwell begins to try and find ways to blame us for it! Like, dude, you obviously broke our car! The least you should expect when you take your car to a service center is that you get it back, at a minimum, the same way you gave it. Probably supposed to be an improved vehicle. Not a car that somehow needs a new engine when it was taken to a body shop! The people at Nyle Maxwell Collision Center have no accountability or ethics. Do not let them touch your car. And don't let Scott try and scam you into paying for repairs that they are clearly liable for. read more

You can imagine how disappointed I was after purchasing a brand new vehicle and finding just days later that the paint job was bad. Jeep had to warranty my entire vehicle's paint. ((Side note - do not buy a new vehicle on a dark rainy day and not inspect the paint very closely :( )) My service advisor was Kiley, and she did a great job negotiating with Jeep corporate in getting them to warranty my issue (the entire vehicle). AND keeping me up to date on what was happening. Jeep FCA was very slow in approving the entire amount, which was not the fault of Kiley. I was concerned about not having that "factory" look in getting an after market paint job, but I was blown away by how well it actually turned out. Keep in mind the entire vehicle had to be repainted, I only found one small spot on one of my hinges that had a bubble in the clear coat. My husband has a very keen eye for paint flaws and he was happy. I take away a star because it took them 5 weeks. I told Kiley I wanted them to do it right and to the best of their ability, so that's ok with me, but other people may not be happy with a 5 week turnaround. They did give me a loaner vehicle while I was waiting, but I was unable to use the toll roads which made commutes about 15 minutes longer every day for me. In the end I am happy with Jeep standing behind their products, and with Nyle Maxwell Collision Center for making it right. If I ever have a need in the future, I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

***DO NOT USE THIS PLACE PLEASE SEE PICTURES*** This place has turned into a joke, see the pictures of my truck that cost $7500 plus to repair and this is the way they gave it back to me which I refused to take it such poor workmanship and ridiculous dirty condition. ($1000 deductible and $800 plus out of pocket and insurance covered $6500 plus) ALL THE SURFACES THEY PAINTED HAVE DIRT. DUST, DEBRIS, CRACKS, CHIPS, GOUGES, LOOSE AND MISSING FASTENERS AND CLIPS, DIRTY AND DAMAGED HEADLINER. (SEE PICS) They charged me $250 to strip the hood to metal which they never did. (REFUNDED AT PICK UP) Front driver fender replace and doesn't line up with door and window pillar or door. (STILL NOT ALIGNED ALTHOUGH BETTER THAN FIRST HANDOFF) They Painted the top of the cab and never buffed it and has etched hard water stains in the new paint (FINAL PICKUP STILL HAS DIRT IN 3 AREAS) Dirt in all the paint they applied to the (Hood, Top of cab, both front fenders, grill, front bumper). Painter place plastic panels with overspray and poorly taped body panel lines. (MASKING GUY MUST HAVE BEEN A BLIND PERSON) Torn headliner along with greasy wet sanding water prints at each door where they held on with dirty hands to prep the roof for paint. (THEY BLAMED IT ON THE BAKING BOOTH FOR EXTREME HEAT FOR THE HEADLINER SEPARATION) All door panels and carpet dirty from dirty hands and feet standing in my truck with sanding dust. (THEY DETAILED THE INSIDE OF MY TRUCK....CUDOS TO THIS GUY AND IT WAS HIS FORST DAY ON THE JOB) I am beyond beliefs that this place has turned out such poor quality.....NO EXCUSE...THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DEALER QUALITY. Remember all pictures are from when they told me it was done and to come pick it up, so this is the way they hand vehicles back to customers and I'm a repeat customer....SHAME ON THEM.....Pictures posted after #10 is at pick up on December 4 5:30 pm and December 5 at noon. I'M TAKING THIS COMPLAINT TO THE TOP.....I'm filing another complaint this week as I have given them more that enough time to complete my vehicle and they have not done it to the proper specs. I have received messages from previous employees about this location and I can say it is not good :/ My updated round 2 picture should be coming soon once the inspection is done by me and another person that is familiar with paint and bodywork. Round 3 of getting these issue resolved in a matter of 2-3 weeks Ok here were are December 14 2017, new manager and things are still not 100 percent and they have failed me for the last time. To summarize: AVOID THIS BODY SHOP. Not sure a worse shop exists in all of central Austin. This place started out with great things in mind, and has now turned into a low quality, quick turnover place. Let's start with the front office. Kiley must wake up on the wrong side of the bed every day, or just not really care about customer service at all. Never really met a person who is more unpleasant in my whole life. The quality of work is shameful. The only good employees they had have now left because the GM cares more about numbers than quality. For someone who has never worked in the body shop world, he has unrealistic standards and is willing to sacrifice just about anything to meet these numbers. Of all the great choices we have in Austin - do yourself a favor and run far away from the Maxwell name. read more

Took our 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland in for some very minor driver side front end damage (bumper, headlights, hood, radiator, etc.) first part of November. Took them nearly a month to complete the repairs, which seemed very slow considering all parts should have been readily available as it was all Jeep OEM parts and Maxwell is a Jeep dealer. Work seemed to be done OK, but the morning after bringing it home there was a significant noticeable fluid leak under the Jeep on the garage floor. I did not know what it was other than it wasn't A/C condensation. It was concerning because we were travelling out of town that weekend so we took it to Kwik Kar for an early oil change and to have them check it out. When performing the oil change they noticed that this fluid was actually all over the engine compartment and that the radiator cap was loose, indicating the fluid "leak" was coolant. The only way that could have happened was that the radiator was not re-installed correctly with the cap being closed tight. Kwik Kar corrected the problem and cleaned up the mess ($25 fee) caused by this shoddy work done by Maxwell Collision. If these folks are sloppy with something this simple where else do they cut corners? Caveat emptor. read more

Strongly recommend not using these people. They took my car to do a quick repair MORE THAN A MONTH AGO, and they have refused to return it. They are saying they cannot give it back to me because it is partially disassembled--and they haven't gotten the right part in yet because the manufacturer keeps sending defective ones. Well, that should be their problem, not mine--they COULD reassemble the car on their dime, then hold the manufacturer responsible for the cost, but instead they are literally just holding my car hostage. I am considering legal action. read more

These guys are amazing. Took my 2014 Durango in for Tristan to evaluate the damage. Gave him the estimate from the opposing insurance, which he knew right away it was under quoted. Him and Kiley stayed in constant communication with my husband and me, keeping us informed every step of the way. A $475 estimate turned into $3000 worth of damage. My bumper, panel, and grill were replaced and look amazing. They even detailed my interior Great customer service and workmanship. I would recommend to anyone who wants top quality. They did a really good job repainting my trunk lid. Was really worried color wouldn't match (car is brand new was factory defect). They ended up doing a fantastic job. The paint match is perfect even with the metallics in the paint. Very impressed car was done before promised time which was great. I came across this place when I need to repair my Volvo C70 door. After every body shop wanted to spend a labor day just to figure out what's wrong with my door it was refreshing to find someone who takes 5 minutes and tells you exactly what the problem is. They were also open to install my own e-bay-purchased part (with the obvious conditions). Service was courteous, efficient and quick. Horrible experience. Took them a month and a half to replace and paint one door in my car. The day I'm picking up my car they wanted to keep it for another few days for more repairs. Do not use this shop. I brought my car in and got a quote for repairs. Then once they took the car apart the price more than doubled. How could they be that bad at making an estimate? Then when I went to pick it up, four dashboard lights came on before I got home with it. I took it back and the guy told me to take it to a Nissan dealership and that they would fix it under warranty. The people at the dealership laughed in my face and said that no such service would be provided. I took it back to the collision shop. It took two more weeks to get my car back. They gave me my car back claiming it was fixed when it still needed two weeks worth of work! Then I got back and it is still needing repairs. So I went back, they sent me to another dealership to get an assessment and now I'm waiting to hear how much they are going to try to charge me to fix my car after already paying them to fix my car. I paid almost $7,000 out of pocket for absolutely horrible service. Do not use this shop. They don't fix anything. read more

Went to Nyle Maxwell Collision Center on Thursday wanting to find out if the damage to my car would be more than $800-$900. If it was going to be this amount or less, I was just going to pay cash instead of going through insurance. People didn't even bother to come out and look at my car, just asked what the damage was and said yes, it would be quite a bit more than this. I then took my car to insurance company and, guess what, damage came in at $900 so, guess where I won't be taking my car to get it fixed. They were unwilling to negotiate a lower price, as I only wanted my car drivable and didn't care about repainting and other cosmetic fixes. They did body work on my Dodge Ram 1500 recently on an insurance claim. The body work was just done alright but the way they left my truck was bad. The bed cover clamps were taken out for the body work but was not put back correctly and a few of them were just left there unattached which almost got my truck bed top fly off when I drove on the freeway. They took off the trailer ball hitch and did not put it back but instead put it in with my personal belongings in the back seat. It should be a rule that they reattach anything they take out after the body work properly. Very unprofessional. read more

The driver's-side door of my car had been damaged in a hit-and-run and wouldn't open. I found myself in the neighborhood of Nyle Maxwell Collision Center on 2017-10-27 and decided to stop and get an estimate on the repair. Kiley came outside to assist me. She asked if I needed the door fixed or an estimate, and I told her I had come for the estimate but would be happy to hear ideas about a quick fix. She went inside and brought back one of the guys from their team. He was able to pop out the fender and get the door opening again on the spot. This was huge - I didn't have to crawl into the driver's seat from the passenger door anymore! Then Kiley gave me an estimate and I went on my way. My husband purchased a brand new 2014 Dodge Challenger from Nyle Maxwell. Within (literally) 5 minutes of driving it off the lot, we got sideswiped by another car. What should have been one of the worst new car experiences of our lives turned out to be a blessing in disguise. After dealing with the insurance company, we took the vehicle into the Nyle Maxwell Collision Center and met Scott, Ellen, and Kalyee. They all went out of their way to ensure that the parts used to fix the vehicle were brand new (not refurbished) and then worked with my husband to install a plethora of additional new parts (new performance hood, racing stripes, sport pedals, and more...). Scott was fantastic about providing updates, Ellen went to bat with Chrysler several times over incorrect components, and Kaylee made sure nothing fell through the cracks. My daughters 2003 car was in a small accident and the fender over the back tire got bent in. Car wasn't worth the $3500 estimate to fix fender. Scott Branum suggested they pull it out enough so it doesn't rub the tire during bumps, that was a BIG save! He ordered us a new side mirror since that was broken and it came in 2 days and was quickly fixed. And we were able to afford 4 new tires. Now I know where to go if I need to!
