The crispy zucchini was cooked to perfection, the lemoncillo cake with meringue topping was "ooooooh so yummo "and the pizza was amazing! The pizza was even with the crust , sauce and cheese! We recently moved here and had a craving for pizza. After looking over all the different spots and checking out the reviews, we decided to give NYPD Pizza a try. We called in our order initially for delivery but were out of their delivery zone, they are kind enough to give us 10% off since we decided to come pick it up and we were not disappointed. The medium pizza was way larger than expected and it was fresh, with crispy crust and not greasy. And the wings were spicy enough. It may be a bit pricey than a pizza hut but trust me this actually taste like New York pizza and will fill up the whole family. Bookmarked definitely in our Arizona spots. read more

For some reason, I was expecting a more takeout pizza shop. NYPD Pizza is a full service sit down restaurant. (Being a pizza place, there is still a takeout line.) Dining room is a fairly decent size. Decor is Italian New York. Red walls could meke the space feel small, but large mirrors and high ceilings keep the space feeling open. Texture on the walls adds to the old world feel. I love the vintage looking tiles on the floor. Mini framed Broadway musical posters are little touches of NYC. Menu has pizzas, appetizers, salads, wings, pastas and calzones. Pizzas are made with New York water. We ordered a Joey's Favorite Pizza and the SOHO Salad Pizza. Joey's is their classic vegetarian pizza. My children said they were VERY hungry. Rather than classic NY style, we went with the Sicilian style pizza. This pizza is thick and rectangular. We ordered it extra crispy as recommended. Crisp bottom and fluffy center were an enjoyable textural contrast. Plenty of toppings on the pizza. Sauce is well flavored. FYI, this pizza does take much longer to cook. Thankfully the SOHO Pizza Salad was out sooner. Salad was fresh. All the toppings worked well together. Pizza underneath was not crisp as described. Pizza was more chewy. It probably absorbed moisture from the salad. Still an enjoyable pizza/salad. I would be torn as to ordering the Sicilian style pizza again or trying one of their NY style pizzas. A large Sicilian style pizza and pizza salad was more than enough for all of us. We left with leftovers. Service was friendly. Our server checked on us several times during our visit. He did apologize for the wait. We had a group of ten people for dinner. Quick service for us. The traditional wings are very good - had honey and uptown. Garlic knots hot and fresh. Pizza was good had a couple different kinds. Meatballs were big. The penne ala vodka - sauce was average. Overall, they can handle a big group and the service was fast and the food was good. Amazing! I was dying of hunger after having had chemo this afternoon, and pizza sounded so good. This did not disappoint! I had the Big Kahuna Hawaiian which was thick and tons of cheese with the pineapple, Canadian Bacon and fresh Basil! I also got an order of San Gennaro Zeppolis Fried and tossed with powdered sugar, these little nuggets of pizza dough are so sweet and tasty. Served with Ghirardelli chocolate and raspberry sauces.oh my goodness, each bite was a little taste of heaven! I will order from them again. I have to stay in hotel while here for cancer treatment, and the order was delivered to my door within an hour. Just one thing.... Tried the lunch special of any slice and a salad for about eight bucks. This was a giant lasagna slice which had beef meatballs, ricotta and onions on some thick dough. It came with a large salad that had raspberry vingarette dressing and some good croutons. I ordered a personal pizza and salad directly from the restaurant to be delivered to my hotel. After all of the great reviews, I went with the meat lovers pie. Sadly, it was underwhelming. It was light on toppings and the flavor was dull and bland. I included in the comments of my order my room number, and still was not given any napins nor plastic ware. Tough to eat a salad without a fork. I was able to eat part of it after I decided to just think of it as a weird veggie tray. I love this location of NYPD. We have been going since I was 8 and have truly never had a bad experience here. I love their food and their housemade ranch is a dream. More importantly, the service is constantly incredible. I never feel compelled to go out of my way to reward good service but my husband and I felt like it was necessary to let their manager know how kind our server was. They are usually pretty understaffed so sometimes a little slow so it's not a quick eat kind of place, but we love to celebrate birthdays and date nights here. read more

Gave this place another shot today. I ordered for delivery and the customer service was good. I stand by my previous review that it is pricy for what you get but the food was more satisfying this time. We ordered 2 my'za pizzas so we could split them and try a little more than we could otherwise which is nice but 8.50+ is a little much. The Buffalo chicken pizza was not our thing. It tasted more like hot sauce rather than Buffalo sauce and that kind of messed with the flavor. There was also cilantro on it which made the whole overall flavor kind of confusing and overwhelming. However, the pizza wasn't stingy on the ingredients so for someone who would like the flavor this would be a well made pizza. BUT we also got the Brooklyn pizza. That was very good. The crust was crispy and not burnt. The sauce was very good and the ingredient ratio was perfect. Not super saucy or dry without enough sauce. It was perfect. I'm very picky on my pizza sauce and I love this sauce. I'd highly recommend that one. We also ordered the fried mozzarella which was good. It came with the marinara sauce and balsamic vinegar reduction sauce. I like that they're not arrogant enough to charge extra for that like some places. Both sauces were fine. There are many pizza restaurants to choose from, but I knew I wanted to go to NYPD Pizza. I had been there a few times before but had only ever ordered their lunch special, which is two slices and a soda. Based on my lunch special experiences, I knew I wanted to do a full review of NYPD Pizza. NYPD Pizza doesn't disappoint, the food was good and the service was great. They have a neat menu with items like The Big Kahuna, Vinny's Favorite, and the Al Capone Calzone. But I didn't order any of those items today. I ordered a pizza pie, but I couldn't order just a pie, I wanted to do a proper review and so I ordered several other items as well. The first thing I ate was an appetizer. I got the Garlic Cheese Knots. The knots weren't really knots at all, they were balls. I imagine they were probably traditional pizza dough knots at some point in the past but have since become pizza dough balls. But don't that that minor detail turn you off, indeed these little balls were packed with flavor. The garlic was there but not overpowering, and NYPD was generous with the mozzarella cheese. Additionally, the marinara dipping sauce at NYPD is really good. Overall a good appetizer and a good start to my meal. The next thing I tried was another appetizer. This time it was the panko-breaded fried mozzarella which surprised me when I opened the box to see flat mozzarella patties. I have only ever had fried mozzarella in stick form, so it was a nice surprise to see a flat patty. I dipped the fried mozzarella into a sweet balsamic vinegar dipping sauce. Again, a pleasant surprise and a good match with the fried mozzarella. The next appetizer I tried NYPD's chicken wings. I ordered the Honey BBQ wings and the Hell's Kitchen Wings. The first wing I tried was a Honey BBQ wing, and I wasn't impressed. It didn't disappoint, but it was the just same as every other honey bbq wing I have ever had. Then I tried a Hell's Kitchen Wing and I was impressed. Not only was it fiery hot, like mouth-tingling hot, but the flavor was really good, no let me correct that, the flavor was great. The Hell's Kitchen Wings might be on my all-time favorite list for wings so far. It's worth mentioning here that the chicken wings themselves were of high quality. They were large, meaty, and cooked perfectly with a slight crisp. After the appetizers, I moved on to the main course, the pie. Since I am a meat lover, I ordered The Wall Street, a pie topped with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and mushrooms. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was that the crust of the pizza seemed a little undercooked. The dough wasn't raw, but it wasn't crispy either. It was on the softer side and I had doubts as to whether it was going to be good or not. My doubts were quickly put to rest when I took the first bite. The pizza was topped generously by the folks over at NYPD Pizza. They didn't skimp on the toppings, which so many places seem to do these days. The flavors were great with a special shout out tot he sausage. I typically try to avoid Italian style sausage because every time I try it, the overpowering flavor of fennel seed is just too much for me. But the Italian sausage at NYPD Pizza was really top-notch, not at all overpowered with fennel seeds. All and all, yeah, I would have looked my crust to be crispy, but every other aspect of The Wall Street pizza was great. Lot's of cheese, high-quality toppings, and a generous amount of toppings across the pizza. I will order it again for sure, but I will ask them to cook it so the crust is crispy. OK, the main course was finished and I moved on to dessert. I ordered two desserts because, well because, two is always better than one. The first dessert I tried was the San Gennaro Zeppolis. Fried dough balls coated with powdered sugar, these little treats were awesome. They came with two different dipping sauces, a chocolate sauce, and a raspberry sauce. Both of the sauces were great and the dessert overall was something special. If the classic donut hole had a big brother, these would be it. The second dessert I had was a slice of New York Cheesecake with a little caramel drizzled on top. Again, a huge winner in my book. While I love cheesecake in general, a good New York style cheesecake always tops the list. I was so full that I ended up only being able to eat one bite of the cheesecake, but the wife was eager to help, so nothing went to waste. NYPD Pizza did many things great. There were there a few things that could have been better, like the pizza crust and the honey bbq wings. But overall those things weren't that bad, and the things that were done right were really done great! NYPD Pizza is a little on the expensive side though so be sure to keep that in mind. read more

Good pizza, wings, cheese covered garlic knots. We ordered out here last Friday after arriving in town. The estimated deliver was 1.5-2 hours, But we got it much sooner than expected. The driver forgot the cheese garlic knots apologizing he had taken so long and forgotten. He explained he was the only driver and would be back ASAP with the knots. A lot of other places would have just said sorry, we'll reimburse you, so I appreciate his effort given he had so many deliveries. We had a large group with varying pizza preferences we were trying to please and everyone was happy. The leftovers even heated up well.
