I love this location of NYPD. We have been going since I was 8 and have truly never had a bad experience here. I love their food and their housemade ranch is a dream. More importantly, the service is constantly incredible. I never feel compelled to go out of my way to reward good service but my husband and I felt like it was necessary to let their manager know how kind our server was. They are usually pretty understaffed so sometimes a little slow so it's not a quick eat kind of place, but we love to celebrate birthdays and date nights here. read more

If you are interested in destroying your bathroom by all means eat here. Enjoy your burned over cooked over priced pizza while choking down the wings which were flavorless and clearly not handled correctly (see above bathroom destruction) you may be asking yourselves, well that seems harsh. Was upset at the poor customer service this place has. Ordered the bruschetta pizza and the online menu does not mention onions anywhere in the ingredients. Got my $30 pizza and there were onions everywhere. Making it to were I couldn't even try the pizza. Called to ask for a refund and they refused because the onions are in the bruschetta mix, so there for, it's pretty much my fault for not knowing what was all in their interpretation of bruschetta. Even though I told them you still have to have it listed they begged to differ. So now i have to throw out a $30 pizza. Also order another pizza and we explicitly said no mushrooms. Guess what they were still on the pizza. Wonder if that's our fault too???? Will never order pizza from here again. read more

Good pizza, wings, cheese covered garlic knots. We ordered out here last Friday after arriving in town. The estimated deliver was 1.5-2 hours, But we got it much sooner than expected. The driver forgot the cheese garlic knots apologizing he had taken so long and forgotten. He explained he was the only driver and would be back ASAP with the knots. A lot of other places would have just said sorry, we'll reimburse you, so I appreciate his effort given he had so many deliveries. We had a large group with varying pizza preferences we were trying to please and everyone was happy. The leftovers even heated up well. This place was amazing! The atmosphere was great, the staff was super friendly, and the pizza was amazing!! They offered all the kids their own pizza dough to play with and even gave them sauce and some cheese to make their own mini pizzas for free. Then they went the extra step and even baked them for the kids! I give this place a 5 out of 5 and was super excited to come across this place on our out of town visit! Tried it once before and had a good experience. Unfortunately, our 2-9-23 purchase did not make the grade or worth the cost. We had purchased two large pizzas. One was supposed to be a pesto chicken but ended up being on off the menu grilled chicken breast and they were very stingy with the chicken. This time they did not open the box to show us if it was good to go. Stupid me allowed my first positive visit to not even think of checking. Our Joeys favorite pizza also had a scarcity of veggies. I ended up paying for overpriced bland flatbread. Shame on me. AZ Pizza Co. would of been a better choice and I hate to say it but maybe even Barros. Ordered pick up. They were about 15 mins behind with a parking lot full of people. That is understandable considering what the world is going through right now. The reason for the three star is that I had to rebake my pizza it was very undercooked, half the pizza was raw dough. Also would have like some crushed peppers and some napkins. read more

The pizza here is so good! Every time we order to go we love it and the service is always spot on. When finding inside the restaurant is very clean and the staff is super helpful and always busy. I wish I could give this place 0 stars and that's just based on the service. It was absolutely terrible. We've never been in but we were wanting to try. From the moment we walked in we were not greeted nor acknowledged. We stood by the booth for several minutes before walking to the line because we were unsure of how everything worked and none of the servers seemed to want to help.. we were making eye contact with the pair of workers standing in the corner laughing. We continued to be ignored when another party walked in and finally the servers started to walk towards the front. We asked if we could be seated and why we weren't being helped earlier and the worker said "we were busy" when the actual dining area had maybe 3 parties and there were 3 servers one who was already helping a family at the booth. So no they weren't busy. And the fact that we made eye contact several times and still they choose to talk and laugh instead of helping us. The pizza from this location is always great. More expensive then every other pizza place, but it's my favorite pizza so I splurge sometimes. Very slow delivery though. It always takes over 45 minutes and the pizza isn't very hot anymore. Also, I tried the spinach artichoke dip for the first time last night and it was awful. Got to admit I was not thinking I would really enjoy our dinner at NYPD Pizza. No reason why, just thought it had a chain restaurant vibe and I would be disappointed. I am glad to say that I was wrong and it was a very enjoyable meal with the family. For dinner we started with the crispy fresh mozzarella. The dish was panko covered mozzarella with your typical marinara sauce but also with a side of balsamic reduction that was a hit. As for our entrée, we went with their large pizza that was half big kahuna (ham, pineapple, and basil) and half ricotta and meatball. The kahuna was decent and the ricotta half was awesome. The ricotta and meatball together were so flavorful. As good as they were the real winner was N.Y.'s crust. That stuff was so good. Just the right amount of crisp and chewiness. I guess their filtered water really is the difference. Staff was great and the ambience was nice with slightly dimmed lighting. Just the way this guy likes it. Overall, a very nice dining experience and we will be back. read more

Came here for the first time, had some boneless honey hot, tasted like bbq sauce to me. Had a big kahuna I love pineapple pizza and it was good but I like more of a crispy pizza and this was more doughy than I prefer. My son had the regular wings he said they were good, the pizza he had was cheese with garlic and he's a kid so he enjoyed it. Service was good, ate outside it was enjoyable and nice ambiance... Would I come back probably if in the area but if not I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

This place is a gem! The food is always great! They have plenty of options. We always get the half Sicilian pizza and garlic knots. I recently tried the fried zucchini which is amazing. They have great salad options. I just found out that they have wings! The wings are ok, not as crispy as I like but it is my fault for not asking them to be extra crisp. Service has always been great whether we are dining in or ordering to go. When you order out they usually have your recent order saved to your phone number making it easy to request the same thing which is our usual. The atmosphere is great! Pretty good pizza place, they have a great kids menu (around $5 including drink and dessert) with a lot of options and they even allow some substitutions (different kinds of noodles, etc.). I got the 8" personal pizza (forgot the name but had the works on it) which was pretty good except for the fact that I had to eat it with a fork and knife because my toppings kept falling off. I had ordered it extra crispy which usually means you can just pick it up and eat it like, well, you know, a pizza. The small calzone was HUGE and could probably feed a small army (see pic which was taken after about 1/3 of it was eaten). This is a ton of food for only $6.49 and the kids thought they were really good. Now I'm curious to see how big the large one is! The spaghetti was just OK, fairly generic. The service was great and it wasn't that crowded at all for a Saturday night. NYPD Pizza is pretty yummy I have to say. We do love coming here to order our favorite pizza with extra ricotta and meatballs. It's not a pizza on the menu but you can build your own with the items listed. The crust here is wonderful and you actually want to eat it not leave it! We also got the Big Kahuna Hawaiian pizza and this one was not my favorite. It seemed a little blah for my taste buds. We tried out the Crispy Fresh Mozzarella and it was very flavorful but it was not a very large portion compared to some places. If we go back, we will order the Garlic Cheese Knots we were eyeing at the table next to us! Those looked so good. Though I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants.. this one is A-ok! The pizza is the best we have found in Avondale/Litchfield Park area. The atmosphere is easy/not pretentious (what I want in a pizza joint). They have great specials so it can be beyond affordable if you order he right stuff. I love all their salads. Kids love their menu- we come here all the time. Ask for Michael- he's such a good waiter- all the servers are really good- he the best!
