Not only is everyone here super friendly and helpful, but they're all very knowledgeable about everything they carry. I've discovered my new favorite whiskey here and have been able to learn a lot about what I'm actually drinking and where it came from. They have have delicious food on hand. They have some good burgers here, along with dessert. I got their spicy burger, but impossible style. Impossible meaning that it's impossible it's not real meat. It's actually a veggie burger. But when you eat it, you honestly couldn't even tell that you weren't eating a real beef burger. But that's not all. Their ice cream with deep fried Oreo's will blow your socks off. Love this place! My sister brought me with the enticement of a food burger. That was an understatement. The burger was AWESOME! O' Be Disappointed... We went for the first time last night and were looking forward to a nice evening based on other reviews. The food was SPOT ON but the SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. First and foremost, this is a whiskey bar. Not one time did our bartender make any recommendations for any drinks or even mention the word whiskey or bourbon. I ordered two bourbon drinks and was never asked what bourbon I preferred and was never told what bourbon was in my drink. (I found out when I saw my bill). This is a TINY place where you sit at the bar. Dealing with a sullen/aloof bartender who obviously didn't want to be there completely detracted from our meal. The food was excellent and my drink was very, very good but I highly doubt we will be back. Dropping $100 for burgers and drinks, the service should at least be better than an Applebee's. read more

The female blonde bartender Jillian is so rude! This is the 2nd time we've been here and we are shocked! So rude. We are in the business as bartenders and are shocked at how unprofessional she is. We will never be back. She yelled at us. Never gives last call-just said hey the $&ck out. Wow. The last time we were there, she took the drinks out of our hands before we were done and said "get the $uck out". I work at as a bartender for many years and would NEVER talk to my guests like that. We boycotted that place for 8 months because of Jillian and finally got the same treatment. Their wall of whiskey - and old fashioned - was rather impressive. And you can cozy up to the bar while watching a game or whatever they have on their TVs. My girlfriend, uncle and I shared an order of wings (5 for $7) and jalapeno poppers ($9) to start. Buyer beware, the jalapeno poppers were spicy, and I like a kick! I had the pimento burger ($12) with pimento cheese, pimento bacon jam and sorghum coleslaw. It was an innovative take on a traditional burger, however, I wish it had been a little less done. This is one of our little secrets in Franklin, so don't tell anybody! O' Be Joyful is tiny- so small and usually busy that you may have to slide in sideways. Don't be afraid- slide on in and find a seat at the very cool concrete bar. The lighting is enchanting, the music is spot on and not over powering and the conversation and care by the bar staff is warm and friendly- not rushed at all. And then there's the food! This is a small bar with just a few tables along with the seating around the bar itself. My friends & I were delighted to see that they had the vegan Impossible burger on their menu. We each ordered one from Anthony, the bar tender, who was also the waiter and the server! But I have to say that he was very efficient at all three! He was also visiting with everyone at the bar as well as everyone at our table - very personable & friendly. He had a talent for making everyone feel welcome and 'at home', and genuinely made an effort to make sure you were happy with your orders. Our burgers came with house made chips and was delicious.
