Stayed at Fairmont RV campground for 4 nights while on a golf trip. Planned on eating at O'Bella's one night and ended up eating there 3 nights. There were 6 of us and everyone loved every meal. I had the Chicken Alfredo 2 nights and we tried the pizza one night. The Butcher Block meat pizza was one of the best I've ever had. The Alfredo was very creamy and delicious. We went there for Mother's Day. I got the Chicken Marsala. It was a huge disappointment. The chicken was 4 small pieces of meat, like chicken nuggets. It was mostly only pasta. No one came by to see how your food was or how we were doing. The service was primarily the bus boys, whom I tipped. The waitress was non-existent except to take our order and give us a bill at the end. The actual prices on the menu may be more than what is shown. Our wine was more and the waitress said their wine prices have gone up and didn't correct the bill. Frankly, I am surprised this place is actually highly rated. read more

We cannot say enough good about O'Bellas. The food always delicious, the atmosphere enjoyable, and the staff is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I usually order to go from this place and it's always delicious. Stopped by today after a long day of ice fishing to eat an early dinner at 4:30. There were 3 people up front who didn't acknowledge me and a waitress who came out the back to ask me how many in my party. I told her 5 and she looked at something behind counter and told me we couldn't be sat till 6. There was full staff up front with one being on phone and the other two...who knows. There was literally 3 tables sat and ton of open seating to not be sat...I'm pretty upset and for the first time in my life felt profiled. Guess I won't be giving my business here ever again. I am a local and go occasionally to O'Bella since in opened. I feel it has gone greatly down hill from what it used to be. My last visit last week added to the disappointment. I avoided the Chicken Marsala which I had last visit and refer you to a 2 star review of S.W. on 5/12/2024. I also had the Chicken Picatta on a previous visit and wife ordered it this time and it was OK but the presentation was terrible; 2 long slices of charred zucchini, which were cooked well. Chunks of chicken, not sliced, and an OK lemon-garlic sauce. Since I had experience with O"Bella's "chunky: Chicken Cacciatori, I ordered a pizza and a salad. The spinach salad was also disappointing, overloaded with overcooked bacon bits. Their citrus vinaigrette dressing (OK but not fine on a spinach salad) which should have a honey bacon-based dressing with honeyed pecans, not small chunks of walnuts. I guess I am expecting too much of Montana restuarants except for some of them who know how to cut steaks and cook them right (medium rare). Next time I want chunky chicken I will to to McDonalds. Oh, I didn't mention that I ordered a greasy Garlic Chicken Pizza, small, which they dropped on the floor and gave me the half that remained on their cooking block, and gave me another of the same pizza gratis, which I took home in a box. Next time I want a pizza I will go to Pizza Hut. read more

For a small Montana town, this is a pretty big surprise. A local recommended it to us, and we're glad we went. It's very modern and trendy. The staff was very professional, helpful, and friendly. They were packed out, which I think is a sign of how other people feel about the restaurant too. The food was good (and much better than I expected). The portions were also large and satisfying. A bonus is that they serve espresso drinks. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because my chicken alfredo could've used some improvement (the sauce was pretty watery and bland), and our espresso drinks were served in cups that were much larger than the amount of beverage inside, which just feels a little cheap. The prices were pretty high, so I'd like to see a little bit more for my money. But we would definitely come again if we are in the area. read more

Great experience! When we drove up and the parking lot was packed at 4 PM on a Saturday, we knew we had found the right place. The manager was super attentive and got us a table fairly quickly. He checked in on us during our short, wait time to let us know it would be soon. The wedge salad was delicious and the margharita pizza also was super tasty. Very good service. They did charge extra without letting me know when I asked for an extra salad dressing, but that was a minor item. read more

Stopped in here while traveling through, the breadsticks were very popular almost every table around us ordered them. We shared the chicken piccata but were too early for mashed potatoes so it was served on pasta which was just as tasty! Great homemade soup. If we pass through again we will stop for sure. read more

This is a cute, quaint, upscale, nice Italian restaurant in a very small town. When my wife suggested this place I was very unsure. Even when I saw this little "hole in the wall" from the outside I wasn't convinced it would be serious. All my doubts disappeared upon entering this super cute place. Great service from the start. Our hostess was on it, and seated us quickly. Our waitress was top notch and knowledgeable about the whole menu, including the wines and beers. But the food certainly took center stage. I got the garlic chicken pizza, my wife got the fettuccine alfredo. I would highly recommend both depending on what you are in the mood for. Also, their Caesar salad is super authentic. Surprised to find this spot, cool ambiance, server was friendly yet very efficient. We got the breadsticks, caprese, and fettuccine. I'd skip the breadsticks in the future as you get garlic bread with pasta. We were charged for ranch with breadsticks that we didn't ask for. Caprese was good, nothing too fancy but pure and tasty. Being from Northern California, not too far from Napa, we know good restaurants, and definitely good Italian This was by far one of the best Italian restaurants I've had the pleasure of patronizing. I sure hope western Montana people appreciate what they have here. This is one remarkable restaurant. You could put O'Bella down anywhere in the country, including downtown San Francisco or Seattle, and they'd more than compete. The calamari is superb. The bread sticks are the best I've eaten anywhere. I can't find enough superlatives to describe the lemon aoli. The baked chicken parmesan is a wonderful variation on a classic dish. Salads are fresh with some surprising combinations of ingredients that all just work impeccably. Seasonings are perfect. Oh, and the chocolate chip cookie dessert is so well done it takes what is often a cliche dessert to a whole different level. If I lived closer, I'd weigh 375 lbs again. If you're on I-90 and don't take the nine mile side trip to Anaconda, you're missing what I believe is the best restaurant in Montana (yes, even better than Chico and Walker's). For that matter, take a day trip and eat lunch there, wander on up to Phillipsburg and come back for dinner. Stay at Fairmont Hot Springs for the pools, but skip the mediocre (at best) food at the resort and make the quick eight mile run to O'Bella. You won't be sorry. Oh, and don't miss the poster by the restrooms. It's hilarious! read more
