The food was good. We got the dolphin fingers, fries, and ribs kids' meals, as usual. We had a large party meeting at a location that was central since we're all spread out. Unfortunately, it seemed like the staff didn't want us there from the beginning. We called the day before and were told they don't take reservations, which is understandable, so we assumed we might have to wait for seating when we arrived. When we got there, the hostess told us it would be "a really long time" for a table. She then asked if we could do two tables, and I said sure, even though we had kids with us ranging from 2 to 11 years old. She then asked how far apart the tables could be seated. I'm sure the servers didn't want to be babysitting, and clearly, given the ages of the kids, they couldn't be seated any farther than the table next to us lol. She then proceeded to tell us that there were two tables available, but they weren't next to each other. If we wanted to sit at completely separate tables, we would have just eaten at our own homes or gone to separate restaurants. We were then told we needed two separate servers, even though we were willing to wait longer for tables next to each other. I asked if we could have one server, and she said it wasn't possible. At this point, we were pretty irritated with feeling like an inconvenience to the restaurant, but we said whatever works best for them, we would take. Then the hostess finally seated us and she continued to be short tempered and unwelcoming. She dropped the "specials" menu on the table and quickly walked away. Her attitude made it clear that she was unhappy to be serving us and made us feel extremely unwelcome from the beginning. The server was fine and did his best to manage a large group of people and kids. However, I was taken back when I walked over to the pickup area looking for him because I wanted to order a dessert so we could sing "Happy Birthday" to my niece. I overheard the staff talking about us leaving. After spending $400 and leaving a tip, being treated like that was extremely disappointing. My family will not consider this location again because of the lack of service. Flanigan's is great, but I would recommend choosing another location. read more

8/13/26 Decided that I was gonna give this place another try today because I was in the mood for a Flanigan's burger. Usually, I drive to Pompano cause that one is always good. Once again this Location is disappointing. I haven't been in here in about two years. The burger was kind of dry, even though it was cooked correctly. The onions were bitter like they were sitting around. I ordered through their app for pick up and they didn't give me my Flanigan points. When you go to the club, it says add points just in case you forgot. But it Asks you for a store number, which I don't know what it is and of course they never gave me a receipt. So once again this location pretty much sucks when it comes to food. The place was busy, but I'm guessing that was just people drinking. This location does not measure up to other Flanigan's locations. But corporate doesn't care cause I have emailed them many times about this location. So once again DISAPPOINTING. We've been twice in July 2026. Both times, the food and service were good. But they continue to break Florida health codes by allowing dogs inside the dining room. Don't tell me they were service dogs. They were both being carried by their entitled owners. Flanigan's has outdoor seating but they sat them inside, carrying the dog at eye level passed my table. If a restaurant ignores health codes in the dining room, I assume they ignore them in the kitchen as well. I will be filing a complaint with the state of Florida. read more

Really good food!! Our waitress was amazing too. Very kind and attentive. We sat outside and it wasn't too hot which was nice but there was a mosquito that bit me -no fun. That was the only thing that sucked. We had a great time otherwise and the food was very good. I got the blackened salmon sandwich and the salmon was cooked very well. I finished my meal with ease and even had one of the kids Cole slaw. My daughter got the Dino nuggets and she really enjoyed them. The place looks nice inside. Not romantic but the low lighting makes it a cool and very chill vibe. Their prices are also great especially considering how good the food is and the portion you get. Came here on Christmas Day for dinner with my family! I was happy they were open on the holiday. The food service was unfortunately a bit slow, but Stacy, our server, was fantastic! She was so attentive to our needs, extremely kind and always greeting our table with a smile. She was very mindful. The ambiance was quieter than other Flanigans restaurants, which I very much appreciated. The Flanigans in Miami was so loud in the past that I couldn't even hear the people sitting at my table. I ordered a Caesar salad with 10 BBQ chicken wings with bleu cheese sauce. Everything was very fresh and tasted amazing! My mom ordered the half rack of ribs with French fries. I will give this place five stars solely for the rib rolls. It's a must try dish of ribs, cheese, and some amazing flavor, all wrapped into one delicious, rolled, and dipped into a delicious sauce. I get this every time and it is never a disappointment. This is a perfect neighborhood bar type feel place. It is always packed. For the price and the volume and surprisingly really well executed dishes it's a great value that you get. Enthusiastically reviewed a few Flanigan's restaurants, but this will be for my first visit at this Boca location. The inside was packed and it smelled like a legit bbq joint. Sounds of laughter throughout the bar and noticed a separate closed in dining room that led out to the covered patio which looked relaxing on this cool breezy night. Our order was ready at the front desk and the server went through each boxed food order for accuracy per my request. They still hit you with the obnoxious 10% service charge for packing our meal togo but its a corporate policy from what I was told - please terminate this fee. Paid and left an additional service charge/tip even for the take out. Unexpectedly, they forgot to pack the plastic forks and napkins. So much for the validity of the mandatory service charge. The ribs and the burger were excellent, although their famous garlic rolls were slightly dry which is uncommon. Love Flanigan's, but please try harder. read more

It's a Flanigan's and if you've never been to Flanigan's before you owe it to yourself at least once in your life to go. A south Florida staple, every person who has ever lived in South Florida has some expertise with the restaurant even if you've never eaten there. It's the most Florida man place you can go with fish themes and tons of fried foods you belly will be full without breaking your wallet. The quality of the food is naturally not the most impressive. I ordered the blackened fish tacos and they were totally passable. The fish was good but the taco and the fixings on top left a little to be desired. I do highly recommend the fries though, idk what they put on them but they are irresistible. The wait staff was good and got us our food quickly. And the restaurant made me reminiscent about the older days of Florida with its fun decor and liberal use of the founders image decorating the place. read more

We have been going to Flanigan's forever. Lately the one in Pompano is our most visited . We hadn't been to this location before. We decided to stop here for lunch. Inside, the restaurant is large. We sat at the bar thinking this would be a faster service location. We did fine with our drinks and ordering, but our food took an extraordinarily long time to come. Several guys a few seats away were on their work lunch break and got nervous as they still hadn't eaten. I think the kitchen list their order. We both got one of their lunch specials which is only $6.99 when you order a drink. Even with an overpriced soda, it's still a real bargain. We both had their seafood soup. This is a gumbo with shrimp, and fish, rice, and veggies. It's very good. He had a side salad and I had a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad had nice chunks of white meat chicken and was not too mayonnaisey. Had we received our food in a more timely fashion, the place might even have rated 4 stars. read more

Wow I am shocked Flanigans isn't at least rated 4.6 stars. This chain has the most consistent, flavorful, and reasonably priced food I have ever had. I have been to a few five star restaurants and I prefer Flanigans. They have THE best Mahi-blackened, wings and ribs in South Florida. The BBQ sauce is my go to! They also have lunch specials 6.99! In 2026..not to mention mondays buy a pitcher get a nacho stack big enough for three grown men, wednesdays same but ten wings, the happy hour after a certain time also includes this. The servers, management and bartenders all work really hard to keep their clients happy. Shout out to Dianne and Ashley. Ambiance is a little grungy and dark with a South Florida theme which is actually perfect. They have most of the sports but not all on. 5-5 for me, shame on anyone giving less then a 4! read more

I hadn't been here in a while and I totally forgot how much fun this place is. Super casual and it's not fine dining by any means but it's great bar food. Started with some wings and seafood gumbo. The gumbo was great plenty of seafood inside and just enough spice. Loaded nachos was enough for the whole table to share. A huge mountain of tortilla chips piled high with beef, beans, chili, cheese, pico, jalapeños, lettuce, guac, and sour cream Chipotle chicken stack - is a huge sandwich with grilled chicken melted cheese, bacon on top of fried onions and topped with a chipotle sauce and it came with a side of fries. Inexpensive and reasonable. One of the very few places in Boca that's open past 10 o'clock and still serves food. read more

I do love Guppies most of the time. But over the years, I have seen things that make me sad or frustrated. 1. To go orders - every time. Something is missing. Recently had to ask for the dessert she did not believe me. For home and the side salad that came with the meal is missing. Not worth going back to get it. Fries were soggy. Things happen but this is a consistent problem of missing items. 2. Know your clientele. Witness seeing 70 year olds ladies have to wait to be seated while someone parks, is not nice. The hostesses even were rude about it. Place was not packed. My parents have lived in Boca since the 70s and continue to go to Guppies as it is a place they frequent almost weekly so I have seen it through the good and the bad. Home of the best chicken wings in my opinion. They have a different flavor. Is like they marinate in a good sauce and then cook it. The end result is very good. The Tumbleweed Onion is another favorite of mine. I recommend it. What ever you get from this chain is good. They have good specials daily. It's a good affordable restaurant to try and i like the place. I like flanigans the best for the fun atmosphere. The friendly atmosphere and staff is great. It is a busy place. I did have to wait. I don't think I have had a bad experience ever. They are consistent with the good food. The service sometimes is slow. I has happy with our waitress she kept checking on us. My family and I have been coming to Flanigan's in Boca Raton for approximately 15 years, and until tonight we have always had consistently positive experiences. Unfortunately, this was our first disappointing visit. I certainly understand that it was the Fourth of July, and holidays can make staffing difficult. I also try to give restaurants extra grace during busy weekends. What was surprising, however, was that the restaurant was not particularly busy, which made the experience even more confusing. When we arrived, the first thing we witnessed was the manager speaking rather harshly to an elderly woman who had asked for a table. He explained that her party could not be seated until everyone had arrived. She politely replied that it was only she and her husband, and his response was, "We get paid to sell food, not hold tables." I was genuinely taken aback by both the tone and the choice of words. It was not the level of hospitality I have always associated with Flanigan's. After we were seated, our server was pleasant and courteous when taking our order. Unfortunately, after that he disappeared for quite some time. All of our drinks became empty, including my Prosecco. I tried to get the attention of our server as he passed by, but I do not think he heard me. I also asked two other servers who were walking together, but they seemed engaged in conversation and continued past our table. When the manager walked by on his way to the back of the restaurant, I called out, "Excuse me, may I please have another Prosecco?" I even apologized for speaking loudly, explaining that it had been about ten minutes and all of our glasses were empty. Rather than responding professionally, he walked to the computer terminal and loudly announced, "We need another Prosecco!" A moment later he shouted, "Never mind, we already have an order of Prosecco in!" It very much felt as though he was mocking me in front of the staff. I have rarely seen a floor manager appear so uninterested in ensuring guests were cared for while simultaneously making a patron feel embarrassed. Beyond the service, the overall condition of the restaurant was disappointing. Several tables were not clean, outdoor signage was leaning against furniture in the waiting area, and the restrooms were noticeably dirty. This review is disappointing for me to write because we have been loyal guests for many years. Flanigan's has always been one of our family's favorite neighborhood restaurants. I sincerely hope this was simply an isolated incident, because the quality of the hospitality and overall experience seemed to have declined significantly from what we have come to expect. I truly hope management addresses these concerns, as it would be a shame to see such a longstanding Boca Raton favorite lose the reputation it has built over so many years. read more

If you want to watch sports etc , there are TVs all over To begin with there's parking yet it's so busy that sometimes it's hard to get a spot Ince parked you may have to wait for a few minutes Once seated the staff is usually very good. The drinks are good, and the menu is extensive with specials every day of the week. We had Nachos ( huge order) , spare ribs, and cheese burgers all very tasty. You want to start with the garlic rolls, hot and crispy- super garlicky and buttery. Then, the dolphin fingers and rocking rib rolls with jalapeno ranch are a must. For your entree, the full rack of ribs to share (or half rack if just you) with curly fries and a side of coleslaw. After this, you can get the brownie, but may be too full. Please visit this location, the food is really good as well, but atmosphere makes the food SO much better! I'm vegan but the guiseppe pasta (with no cheese) was incredible - sauce was poppin!! Patty was THE moment!! She made our experience here, for our (Glif and I) first experince at Flannigans. I can't even tell how much she made our day! The food came out quickly the drinks were good!! Had a terrible experience at the Flanigan's - Boca Raton. Place was busy for lunch and we we told by the hostess that we would be seated right away inside at a high table. We waited & waited & waited for 15 minutes before we were finally seated. We kept asking the hostess about the immediate table that we were supposed to be seated and she kept saying that we were next. Everyone who came at the same time we did got seated and we were the last ones to be seated. Very frustrating & disappointing! I ordered chicken wings from the $6.99 lunch menu and was asked if I wanted French fries, and I said "yes", was also asked if I wanted blue cheese & carrots, and I also said "yes". Didn't realize until I got the bill that I would be charged $1.99 extra for the blue cheese & carrots! A third of the price of the lunch at $6.99. This was outrageous but paid for it anyways. When I asked the server, she said "blue cheese & carrots were extra"! Really?! Any other wing place it's included. All the server had to do is communicate that the blue cheese & carrots were extra. The parking in this location is limited but free. I recommend to reserve before you get here. The menu is extensive and everything you choose will be delicious. Becca was our server and she was super sweet and attentive. I ordered al loaded nachos but since today is Monday if you order a pitcher of beer or a soft drinks you will get the loaded nachos for free. My sister ordered the pasta Caesar salad and she said it was delicious. My mom had a chipotle chicken and she loved it. Flanigan's was a very cool place to go when I lived in South Florida. It was great when I was single and went to the bar and great when I went out for drinks and dinner with my boyfriend. I think the best seafood in the world is in South Florida. The menu is so extensive. I'm posting some of my favorites seafood. There's burgers ribs and more.
