Egg was a perfect over medium ( where they rarely are at most places) and the salad was a refreshing side to the rich main. The mint in the salad would be better chopped than thrown in whole but still a good bite with the basalmic vinaigrette. Eggs Benedict w Salmon: 4/5. This is a Fair Oaks Village GEM. If you ask me, best breakfast in town. Vibe is: bustling Parisian cafe with hot coffee and fresh baked pastries. What I love: the friendly folks at the counter, excellent black coffee and the pastries are next level. Best meringue (cookie bars?). Hard to describe. Not a little puff but a bar. My 5 year old is a big fan. If you like avocado toast, you MUST try theirs. Toasted focaccia slices with an avocado spread on the side. The win? No soggy bread! Get the avocado toast with a side of eggs and you have a delish breakfast. They also have buckwheat crepes that are to die for. Country breakfast is also good. I've always had good experiences here and have been coming for years, which is why today's visit was especially disappointing. I ordered a small cappuccino, and when the drink came out it felt extremely light. When I opened the lid, it was only about halfway filled with foam that was already dissolving. I understand that cappuccinos are meant to be light, but this felt like barely any drink at all, especially for almost eight dollars. I politely went back to the counter and asked if it would be possible to remake it. The cashier was very kind and understanding, and we were already agreeing on a solution. However, the barista who made the drink interrupted our conversation and insisted that I was wrong and that the drink was made correctly. For context, I worked as a barista for four years at several coffee shops, including Temple Coffee, which is well known locally for its training and coffee standards. In all the cafés I've worked at, a cappuccino has never been served half empty like this. To avoid having the same issue happen again, I asked if the remake could simply be a vanilla latte instead. Unfortunately, the replacement drink was also wrong. Instead of a vanilla latte, I was given a black coffee with a splash of oat milk and vanilla, I didn't realize the mistake until I was already halfway home. At that point I was extremely disappointed. Having two drinks made incorrectly in the same order is frustrating, especially after I was very clear when ordering the vanilla latte. The staff did give me a refund, which I appreciate. However, the combination of the interaction and two incorrect drinks made this a very unpleasant experience. I've enjoyed the food and coffee here in the past, which is why this was so surprising. I'm hoping this was just an off day, but I do think it's something management should be aware of so it doesn't happen to other customers. read more

Delicious little slice of France in old town fair oaks. You order at the counter and they bring your food out and buss the tables. Good and friendly service. They have the best galettes I have tried outside of France. Absolutely delicious, but left me a little hungry...I would get two next time for myself haha. Decided to give this place a second try, last time I got the hot white mocha and it was okay drinkable, this time I got it iced and I knew it was made poorly as soon as they handed it to me base off the color. The interior is incredibly charming, and its a great spot to bring the family or meet up with friends for a coffee or brunch. My mom and I were here recently at lunchtime, and it was busy but the line to order moved quickly. She ordered the warm goat cheese salad, and I got the frittata. If you have a sweet tooth, they have a great selection of yummy pastries and parfaits. They also offer a full espresso bar in addition to cold drinks like iced tea and lemonade. I had a latte with my brunch, and it was delicious. The food came out pretty quickly, and everything tasted amazing! The ingredients they use are super fresh, and you can taste that in the quality of the food. I loved my frittata. There were fresh veggies, tangy goat cheese, and it was well seasoned. My mom also loved her warm goat cheese salad. I was skeptical at first but the proof was in the taste buds! It was awesome. Honestly, as a San Francisco native (where out of all meals brunch reigns supreme) brunch can be a bit underwhelming outside of the Bay. But O Cafe is probably one of the best brunch places around the area; the presentation, the flavors, and the vibes are immaculate. I got the Burri-Oak, which was delicious and packed full of flavor! I loved the layers of different textures and tastes. Only thing is that the tortilla was a bit thick in some parts, but other than that I'd say it was an A+ meal. I also got to try the strawberry and berry smoothies, both of which are tasty; the strawberry one is a bit more tart. And I got a bite of the ham and cheese croissant, which was warm and yummy.
