My wife and I stopped in for an early Valentine's Day dinner between 4 pm & 5 pm and got right in and seated. Our waitress Jessica was very cordial and friendly and got our drinks right away. The rolls were delicious, though maybe a little overbaked. I ordered the blackened salmon and my wife the fried chicken salad. My salmon was good but the blackened seasoning didn't have as much "kick" or heat as I would have liked. Salads, both my side and my wife's fried chicken salad were fresh with no brown lettuce. The apple cobbler for dessert was good, but I miss the pies they used to offer (especially the pecan and cherry), as they were no longer on the new menu. Hopefully, they bring them back. Finally a restaurant in Fort Wayne who knows what rare prime rib means. I like my meat mooing and I am always served medium to medium rare but this piece of meat was perfect. The baked potato was spot on too. The only negative that dung them a star was the ignoring of me when I got there to pick up my order, the witnessing of a very chaotic kitchen and the wedge salad that had four small tomato slices instead of diced tomatoes which is what a wedge salad is supposed to have on it. read more

This use to be a family favorite restaurant; but now it's changed for the worse. First there's 3 greeters standing around talking; all the while the doors are filthy and the floors are dirty. The wait staff are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. They use to have the manager personally come to your table and check on you. Food quality is not what it use to be. They've cut corners and sadly it really shows! For example the burgers use to be thick, juicy and had a nice char on it. Now it's thin, steamed and subpar beef. The pasta dishes are just frozen and reheated items. They still do the free pie Wednesdays; but the pie is not even worth it. Pecan pie and French Silk pies used to be served with real whip cream; now it's the over sweetened fake cream. My French Silk pie was literally a sloppy mess; not even pie shaped. Unfortunately if they do not improve things, O'Charley's will be another restaurant that goes to the grave. read more

My husband and I always forget about this place when trying to decide on a place to eat, but when we do remember we are always more than happy with our decision. We don't go here often but every time we've been the service has been phenomenal, the food excellent, and the beer cold. We had a new item on the menu to start us off, Nashville hot deviled eggs. They were perfect. The right amount of heat, served with a crunchy pickle slice underneath. He got all you can eat chicken tenders (pretty sure they have the best in town) with fries & a ceasar salad. I got peach chutney chicken, smashed sweet potatoes, collard greens, and a blue cheese wedge. Everything was amazing (I brought half of everything home because i had to save room for the ooey gooey caramel pie). The collard greens weren't buttery like I've normally had them, they make them with apple cider vinegar and bacon and trust me, they were delicious. Giving a 2 start review because maybe it was just this one time but from the first experience the food really isn't worth the price. From undercooked fries to under seasoned meat. I got the cheesesteak combo. Fries were undercooked and the cheesesteak itself was poorly seasoned even with the added flavor from the onion and peppers. But what was odd to me was the lettuce they put on the sandwich. The lettuce is the thinly sliced that you would find in a salad bag. Just all around a depressing meal for the price. read more

We went to this establishment because we had not been there in a while (3+ years). When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly welcome and were advised the wait would be 30-35 minutes, which was not unexpected for a Friday night during dinner rush! To our surprise were seated within about 15 minutes. Once we were seated we ordered drinks and an appetizer, the spinach dip and mix of water, sweet tea and beers. After we had been seated for about 15 minutes my oldest son joined us unexpectadly and about 30 minutes after we were seated our appetizer came out. After another 30 minutes of waiting for our food to come (an hour after we were seated) our server comes to our table and says "It's going to be a while until your food arrives". At this time I tell the server this is unacceptable we have been waiting an hour for our food, I'll take the check, we are leaving. The server departs and next thing I know the manager comes to the table and says "I hear you are leaving", I confirmed to her in fact we are leaving, we have been here over an hour and we have not received our meals and we want the check so we can leave. The manager then told me she would comp the meals and get my check ready. About 5 minutes later the server comes back with my check and states, we have taken all the food off the bill and all you need to do is pay for the drinks. The second part to this is my oldest son got off work and called us on his way home and we invited him to join us, which he did. He arrived about 15-20 minutes after we were originally seated, ordered his food and he received his food 15 minutes after he ordered his food and after the server told us our food would be significantly delayed. Now I clearly remember why we have not been back to this establishment in 3+ Years. Poor service, poorly managed establishment and terrible customer service. This one gets an F- and definitely not going back! read more

I went here for a soup and salad takeout. As I came back inside to see my soup & salad not ready, I stood there to watch how it was prepped. The cooks in the kitchen had no gloves on. I even witnessed one use his bare hands to pick up fries off one plate to put on another plate to be served to someone else in the restaurant. I then watched him stick his freakin bare fingers in his mouth eating the lettuce that he used to make with my salad. Then to say that the salad was ready......Nah keep that soup and the salad. I'm looking at all the employees and no one said anything to these guys. They're eating, drinking and cooking all at the same time. What happned to taking a break to go eat and drink? I spoke to the manager and made her aware, but the fact that this is done out in the open in front if customers. Nooooo way this should be allowed. Is this normal protocol for the cooks there? I have brought my family of five to this restaurant a handful of times and always left satisfied. The customer service is over the top. We are are always seated and served quickly and the food has always been consistent... Until this visit. Our children ordered Mac and Cheese and unfortunately it was cold in the center. My French Dip was also cold. I alerted the manager who was extremely apologetic and had fresh, hot replacements delivered within minutes. He followed up with us two more times just to make sure that we were completely satisfied (as well as the waitress and the other manager). I assured all of them that our food was absolutely delicious and it was!!! This review would have 5 stars had we not encountered any issues with the food. We will return to OCharleys in the future and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys a solid menu filled with traditional American cuisine. Right, I ate there tonight and wonder if the rest of the reviews are serious or fake. For starters, as I sat down I heard a woman ask the bar waitress for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The waitress did not know what it was. That was a sign.... We ordered chicken strips and fries and a separate order of a chicken breasts with chutney and a side of a stuffed baked potato. For starters - the chicken breasts was over cooked and covered with a bland chutney. The kitchen forgot to load the potato and had to redo it, even loaded -it was bland and the potato was soggy. The chicken strips and fries - bone dry chicken that seemed liked it was baked under heat lamps or kept in warming trays way too long. As we were leaving we over hear a party at a third table complaining about an order of ribs which the man was saying were burnt. The manager agreed And said he would have another order prepared. I found myself here the other day because I was craving a juicy pork chop. When I arrived there was a basket of rolls on the table. They smelled sooooooooo good and I couldn't help but try some. The rolls were soaked in buttery goodness and were so fluffy. I ate the whole damn basket and wanted more. I told the lady I wanted another basket and she looked at me like i was a fat a** or something. I hadn't even ordered my pork chop yet because I couldn't stop eating those thicc a** rolls. I ended up eating 4 baskets of rolls and having 3 cokes. I only had to pay for the drinks which was awesome! The lady told me to never come back and that I should get some help for my addiction to the O'charlie rolls. I am a regular customer at this location. I came in to pick up a to-go order that was placed online. It was around 11am and the store was not busy. Myself and 2 others were in like to pick up to-go orders. Liv and another gal (white, older, wears hair in side pony tail, large blue phone case) were working. since food was coming up in the window and there were 3 of us waiting in the to-go line, Liv asked the gal she was working with to help her out. The gal was on her cellphone and SO into her social media that she didn't even hear Liv ask for help. (But us customers did) Instead of Liv making a big deal about not receiving help, she just moved extremely fast and got all orders out. Since this visit, I have returned to the store twice. Same thing both times since my visit! Same lady leaning on counter on her phone IN FRONT of customers, line at to-go counter, and only Liv helping out. Liv deserves some type of recognition for her great attitude and amazing customer service. The gal, who's name I don't know, definitely needs re-trained. Your cell phone policy needs to be updated and customers should always be your top priority, not social media. read more

Best and friendliest service I have had in months !! Consistent from the time we walked in , till we ended our meal. My only regret is I don't remember our servers name, she was wonderful!
