O'Dear Bar is FANTASTIC! Delicious food, impressive cocktails, and a great atmosphere! The staff was friendly and attentive. Every drink we had was crafted to perfection, the flavors were beautifully blended together, and the presentation of each one was stunning. I highly suggest the Cold Brew Old Fashioned, and the Last Night. DELICIOUS! Hemingway's Keys and All Thai'd Up were also amazing! We are definitely coming back! O'Dear indeed. Third strike - you're out. Like many reviews say, the food somehow comes out cold. My latest visit was on a Sunday with a fair amount of customers. We ordered at the bar (three drinks and four food items) and took a seat. The food took WAY TOO LONG for the amount of people and the two orders ahead of us. When the food came out it looked lovely... Then we took a bite. The loaded fries were stone cold. The fries themselves were room temperature at best, the cheese was cold, the pork was slightly warm. It was so weird to have different levels of coldness in one dish. The brussel sprouts were also cold all the way through. The roasted cauliflower bites were almost to a proper temp, but it was drowning in sauce. The best items were the loaded and stuffed jalapenos. Close to the proper temp and very tasty. Honestly, I can't say that I will ever go here again. We left the male server know and he said he doesn't know the process in the kitchen and why it would be cold. He said he would let the manager and kitchen know. The female bartender eventually came over and apologized and took the cold food away. She asked if we wanted new items and we let her know that we just wanted it off the bill. She did take it off, but she seemed annoyed. Between the "salty" attitude from the servers and the cold food, it just isn't worth it. read more

Just bad, the whole way round. Ordered the sirloin steak salad medium rare. Came out over cooked and cold. Only way that happens is if it was a leftover steak. I would have sent it back but the bartender never came by. You can find a better option. read more

I was really exited to attend an event here because I love supporting new businesses. This was an event that they had on the books for about two weeks. They looked short staffed so service was super slow. Also, this is a bar with a full bar menu and they were out of Red Wine. I just thought that was weird. read more

I can't say much about the whole food and drink menu, but I will say the grilled chicken burger and the Aloha margarita I had, are the best drinks and burgers I have had in this city, by far. It seems to me the establishment isn't very well know, and I say that because it wasn't very busy on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm. But whatever the case it seems the bartender and cooks were able to put more quality time into the food and drink. They were both prepared very well. The Aloha margarita was the best I have had. Better than other restaurants (I won't say names) that are supposedly known for their margaritas. I don't remember what was in the drinks, but the syrups and ingredients tasted very natural and homemade. Same thing with the burger. I would spend money here again and not at any other restaurants. They take pride in their drinks and food. Please, O'Dear, don't sacrifice quality ingredients for more profits. read more

What a gem!! Have been here twice now and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. They recently opened and are working a few kinks out but whatever the kink they have been most gracious. We had several salads at our table and the beet salad was yummy, and the Sirloin Steak salad was surprisingly very tender and delicious! I had a bacon blue cheese burger that was delicious and my brother had the mixed game meat burger and it was also delicious. The appetizers were very good. Lots of great choices if you are on keto diet. The activities there are great. I could stand at the mural and look at it for hours. How beautiful. And there are pool tables, foosball, photo booth. I will up the stars to 5 soon as the staff is getting more "seasoned". read more

Came here to blow off some steam and have a good time. The place is pretty and the bartenders were nice. However, I ordered a lamb burger and when I looked inside it after it was served to me, it looked as if the Tzatziki sauce was left completely off of the burger. No big deal, so I went up to the bar and told the bartender that I didn't think the Tzatziki sauce was put on the burger. So she turned around and told the chef on duty, big guy, brown hair, I was right in front of the cooks window when he looked at her with a pissed off look on his face and said that he knows he effing slathered my burger in it on both sides and threw his pan in irritation. Abusive much? She turns around and she saw the look on my face was not pleasant. I explained to her that I saw what he just did and then I opened my burger and showed her that there was no sauce. She said he said that is the sauce and I said well we will have to agree to disagree as it looked to me like it was all feta cheese. I further explained that the sauce is yogurt based and creamy and I know what it looks like, she just kept looking at me like there was nothing she could do in that moment. I had to walk away. I sat down and she put a side of the Tzatziki on my plate after ALL OF THAT and then came over to the table and asked if I wanted it and I said no, advised that I was really offended by how pissed off that cook got at the simple request I made and that I wanted to talk with the manager. She said he is the manager, lol! So I asked for my ticket to be refunded and she acted like they didn't have a procedure to do that because it was paid by card and she would have to do a void and it would take 3 days to get the money back. Then she ends up bringing a 20$ bill over and wouldn't even look at me, handed it to my gf and just walked away unbothered by everything. Ok. Cool. Thanks but no thanks! I guess beware of pissing of the "chef/manager of this joint with requests for some extra sauce. Thanks guy read more

Advertised as having vegan/vegetarian options. We were there at 11:30a on a Sunday. Brunch offers no vegan options and only two vegetarian options. No accommodations or price changes were recommended for "minus eggs"/dairy. The irony of this is my modified and overpriced dish (without eggs and no hollandaise sauce) -- was a $17.00 plate of an English muffin, 1/4 avocado, a handful of plain arugula, and a small side of O'Brien potatoes was better tasting than my Omni families' meals. They had a crusty old pancake, stone cold over medium eggs, French toast , and two side orders of still "oinking" bacon. They asked for the French toast, pancake and bacon orders to be ordered a la carte ($5/ order). They brought them out as the meals -- $17 each! The folks I was with are too quiet to say anything about the poor food and service. And wouldn't let me say anything. They refused to serve lunch until after 3pm so we were stuck with brunch and not enough time to go somewhere else as we were on our way to the airport. Hard pass on this one folks! I was so turned off that I wouldn't even go back to try lunch/dinner. Hope this saves someone some angst. Sorry no pics! Had lunch at O'Dear Bar recently. The waiter (may have been an owner) was so friendly. We arrived as they opened on a Thursday so the place was somewhat empty. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. I had the shrimp and grits. Pretty darn close to the best I've ever had in New Orleans. The drinks were fantastic. Try the Hemmingway cocktail. Tastes like key lime pie. Delicous. I believe they have live music on the weekends. read more
