The food started smelling bad and it looks like the food was made couple of days ago. As a customer, I expect my food to be freshly made as I am paying full money for the same. One of my friend recommended me this place and it was my very first order with them. It was a huge disappointment and great humiliation in front of my guests. Cute little restaurant tucked away in the corner of a mall in McKinney. I appreciate the opportunity to sample their food through the Yelp event. The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing and the service was pretty quick. I recommend trying their Naanza, which is a fusion of Naan - Flat bread made like a pizza with Indian curries as the base/topping. Chicken Makhni sauce was particularly our favorite. ODA in Plano is in my top 3 faves of DFW so when I learned there is a new McKinney location we dropped everything to come. This is is an up and coming spot near 380. The food of course is superb. The menu is modern and fresh. This visit we started with ODA chaat and ohemgee in love. Delish. There is no purely veg selection here so I tried something totally new: Railroad Mutton. The mutton was tender, bone in, and piping hot, with butter naan. My go to is always punjabi curry which my partner ordered. Superb. My companions ordered paneer skewers which were wonderful and chicken biryani (which is the size of 5 servings). Two of us took home leftovers but no one finished the whole plate. So much good food!! They're also very accommodating with our various special requests I.e. my wife likes it less spicy; my daughter doesn't care for cilantro; and prepared without compromising taste or flavor. There are two people to take orders up front. Another guest that arrived at the same time was finished with their meal and we ordered at the same time. Our food was late to arrive. Kitchen is busy! I trust this is a soft opening kink...I think the appetizer chaats are worth trying out because of the combination of textures in the dish. The inside is beautiful decorated; I absolutely love the vibe. The menu is decent with selections. Price point to portions are normal I feel. Everything we ordered was really yummy. This was my first time officially trying Indian food, and I am ecstatic to return. I went alone, and wasn't sure what to order. I asked the gentleman at the register for something spicy, and he suggested the Vindaloo. For record its described as: Goan style hot & sour curry. I got mine with lamb! It was so good. It was warm and had a little spicy but bold flavors. I chose the garlic naan to accompany it and I wanted 12 more servings of that alone - it was magical. I also tried the mango lassi - which was nice and refreshing. It will cool any palate. While dining in, I sent photos to my friend and told her we MUST return so she can try it. I am very excited to return and try something else. The customer service is elite, the team was efficient and I appreciate the cashiers patience with me after I explained that it was my first time. This is the newest location and have dined in twice already, loved every bit of this location. The appetizers are of a brilliant choices, different from the other usual picks. So far my husband's favorite are the paneer tikka in achari flavor and I simply love their chat items. Especially the oda gudbud chat. My kids love the tandoori chicken always made perfectly to enjoy! The entree's are excellent too garlic naans we're top notch. The place is kept clean and quite. Staff is attentive and friendly. Orders are easy with their friendly recommendations. Love how they check on you while you start working on your main course if we need any more extra rice or onions for the sides. We've been customers of the Plano location since it opened in 2017. The food is as good here as it is in Plano, and the staff is very friendly. The only downside is that they no longer add hard boiled eggs to the Chicken biryani and instead of serving a bowl of the mint yogurt sauce they only give a tiny to-go size (see photos)...and not with the Chicken Biryani. We went to the McKinney O'Desi's on Easter Sunday at 1pm. There were only two other tables besides ours, so not busy, but they forgot our garlic Naan (which also used to be included with each entree and now has to be ordered separately) so we didn't get any until we were mostly done with our meals. We love that we can enjoy O'Desi Aroma dishes closer to home and look forward ti eating here again soon read more

Hubby and I arrived for a late Saturday lunch as a guest of Yelp! Elite week at O'Desi Aroma. It did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Order at the counter and find a seat, but the food is far from being "fast food." Service we received was excellent (hopefully, the great service is extended to everyone and not just for identified Yelp Elites). As a part of the Elite week, I was offered a complementary appetizer and a bottle of mango lassi. Hubby and I chose Gadbad Chaat for the appetizer. Not knowing what to expect, the chaat came layered in a big mug. The flavors were complex with a little sweet and a spicy kick. The chaat was fantastic and I highly recommend a try. For our main dish, Hubby and I shared the Butter Chicken with rice and we ordered an additional side of Garlic Naan. The Butter Chicken is one of the mild curries, but very flavorful. Great pairing with the rice and naan. The mango lassi was fresh and perfect balance to the food spices. The dishes were a very generous serving in that Hubby and I were able to share and still be full. After we had our meal, Hubby wanted to order Gulab Jamun for dessert. The server complementary offered the dessert to Hubby. The Gulab Jamun was a sweet ending to a fantastic meal. The only criticism I have to offer is that we could not get a cell signal in the restaurant to be able to Yelp! real-time and there was no wifi offered.
