Sean Finnegans was a decent little bar/pub. It holds true to your bar setting and if your bar hopping it's a good stop to keep the drinks going. Service was decent, they were not too busy but after we got our first round it took a min to get them back. I got some tots too and those came out and were pretty good. The one thing that really swayed me was the restroom... idk if they share it with surrounding businesses but man it just smaller horrible like something just went all over the walls. The toilet paper was all over the place , trash overflowing.. it just made me want to head to another bar to be honest. I don't want to sway you from going but .. if your just out drinking go for it.

This is the 3rd time I have been to this Pub. The service is outstanding the Bar Tenders are excellent and friendly. It's an old style Irish pub with history it's very relaxed vibe. I have gotten the fish and chips in the past very delicious. The one thing that is a must try is the Irish Coffee I have had several throughout my life and they truly have the best ever go and check this pub out you will not be disappointed!!!

Dropped in for a Guinness with my brother. Just a nice time chatting and having a beer. Staff were nice and easy going. Dive bar vibes.

Stopped in at Finnegan's Pub during a visit to Old Town, and unfortunately it just wasn't great. The ambiance felt dull, and the music didn't match the vibe of an Irish pub at all. My husband ordered our drinks, and the bartenders weren't very friendly. After making one of the drinks, they mentioned they were out of orgeat for the other--but didn't offer any alternatives or suggestions. Both drinks were disappointing, the espresso martini was not good at all and the one missing orgeat was practically undrinkable. We also ordered the cheese curds, which were pretty good, but the portion was quite small for the price. Overall, it didn't feel like an Irish pub experience, and I'm not in any rush to revisit.

Came here for a couple drinks while messing around in old town, and was not impressed at all with what we chose. I gotta say the ambiance itself was a bit weird, totally odd music playing for a bar in general, Barbie girl... for real. Maybe put some limits or rules on that jukebox. But also the service, was very much not friendly at all, for whatever reason everyone working bar seemed upset even though it was fairly quiet and not very busy. The Espresso martini, not gonna lie, worst one I have ever had in my entire life, and the drink my wife got, can't recall the name, awful. Not only did hers not have all the ingredients, but it was just bad. The bartender didn't tell us till the drink was fully made that they were out of Orgeat for it, and pronounced it "Or-Ghee-At." First off a drink that relies on Orgeat is not going to come close without it, and secondly, a bartender should know how to at least pronounce the word of what's in the drinks. We also ordered some cheese curds to munch on, these were fine, but it was a very small portion for the cost.

Visited July 16th..see receipt. I wanted to try their Irish coffee that many say is wonderful and it was! I wasn't able to visit this place last time so I made sure I went this time around. Ryan the bartender was friendly and courteous and made a great Irish coffee! The cream on top was just right! Of course I had to get a warm pretzel ( love big pretzels!). It came with 2 dipping sauces and it was warm and cooked just right! 5 stars on the taste! It's a friendly bar/pub with friendly patrons. Fun place to start your day! By the way if you order an Irish coffee make sure you press the button next to the door so they can keep a running count of how many Irish coffees are sold!

Fantastic Irish Coffee in the middle of Old Town Sacramento! I love the vibe and the simplicity as well as a nod to Irish and old school heritage. The interior feels all original, the customer service is fantastic and the nice Foam art with Finn's logo is absolutely perfect. It was wonderful being able to personally add ourselves to the Irish coffee counter as we were on our way out of the restaurant. Would highly recommend for the quality of food, the ambiance and customer service

2/5 Ambiance- decent place to hang out however the open door policy makes it easily accessible for anyone to walk in. A man that appeared to be impacted by mental illness, walked in yelling nonsense so they escorted him out. 3/5 Customer service- descent 4/5 Drinks- no frills yet strong

It's a pub if you're setting you're hoping for Michelin type service /food you're setting yourself up for failure. HOWEVER, For a pub, the service was top notch !!!!!!!!! Guinness, Guinness, Guinness. Call me biased but they had more than 1 tap for Guinness so i was SOLD. the pretzel was Fiyaj as well If you're looking for a cool spot to hang out. If you're looking for a place that's open late. If you need a night cap. If you're simply staying nearby. Stop by !! You'll be doing yourself a favor. 5/5.

It's a good dive bar. Key word the tables are sticky and not cleaned very often but it is a bar. It is small but service is great and drinks are good. They have a lot of options on tap and even non-alcoholic drinks. We did not try the food this time around.

Two years ago, my mom moved in with my wife and I, and ever since, she's been singing the praises of this "legendary" corned beef sandwich she "used" to get in Nashville . Naturally, I thought I'd win "Child of the Year" by taking her to Sean Finnegan's in Old Sacramento for their corned beef sandwich. Looked at the reviews, I thought they would be worthy.... Verdict? Let's just say... it wasn't the life-changing moment I was hoping for. The sandwich was fine--okay even--but not a showstopper. My mom's reaction? A polite nod followed by a gentle reminder of how much better "Nashville's" version was. Let's be real, if Mom isn't impressed, then mission not accomplished. I am actually in Nashville for my sister's wedding as I write this review. I'm going to secretly try the pastrami sandwich that my Mom craves..... stay tuned To be fair, the place itself is great: clean, with friendly and attentive staff, and a classic Old Sacramento vibe that makes you want to linger over a pint. It just didn't deliver the corned beef fireworks my mom was craving. Here's my plea to the internet: if you know of a place in Sacramento (or nearby) that serves a great corned beef sandwich worthy of Mom's "Nashville" nostalgia, send your recommendations my way. My quest for the perfect corned beef lives on--and my Mother's taste buds are counting on you.

Decide be fair, ordered macaroni cheese bites. Bartender sounds as Marla, is one that helped me! May have word PUB but is child friendly. It came with ten pieces, the orange juice, plus a round container red sweet tasting sauce! Yummy! Cheaper than child order of same at place call V Paradise. Their same of child order that time cost me $14.15 with tax, ouch! This was or is even seven dollars with tax. Ten pieces! Please thank Marla for me! I always appreciate the cups orange juice! We kicked off the evening with Jameson shots before diving into the menu. Our group ordered a mix of the corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, while I opted for the corned beef tacos. Every dish was excellent, the corned beef is incredibly tender and literally melts in your mouth. If you want to try it but aren't up for a heavy sandwich and fries, the tacos are a fantastic, flavor-packed alternative that I will definitely order again. The drink selection was equally impressive; the beers were great, and the Irish Mule was delicious. Emma provided outstanding service throughout the night. Perfectly season with a nice crunch, and the fish was good as well. The beer on the other hand didn't taste good. I probably just got a beer I'm not interested in. I can rely on Guinness on tap, or a nice selection of other European beers on tap if I'm not fancying a Guinness. The last time I was in was on St. Patrick's this week, and their food offerings were three meat eater choices. I had my heart set on one of the vegetarian pasties they used to have, but I knew it was a holiday so what was available was going to not be the regular thing. I don't come often enough to even know what's regular anymore. I don't eat meat, but I did have my Guinness so no harm done. I really like the choices of seating, between tables and chairs, the bar, booths, stools, benches, and outdoors. It can get pretty busy, but never so much that I've ever felt boxed in. There's a bit of a bottleneck to get a drink as the path to get past the bar is narrow, but staff are really great at working through those requests quickly. So, basically this is my go to if someone suggests a pub atmosphere. Every day. Ok not every day, but I had to throw that in ;-) They don't have a full bar, only wine and beer. Parking is typical East Sac, street parking, no meters. Bathrooms have character.
