One person was working, and we were picking up a part we preordered online, and the guy let five people pay up who came to the store when we were picking it up. We waited and called while in the store and finally got a response. It was 2 minutes, but he let us wait for 20 minutes. As we left, another worker guy finally showed up, but there was no more line--lousy customer service and planning on the manager's part. Well it's literally just a parts store so what's to say? I have (at least for the last 20 years or as far back as my alzheimers will let me), when I was in california they were just up the street so I always went there and here in Henderson they couldn't be any closer if they were next door. I went in and a nice man showed me where what I wanted was, let's call him santa clause ( white beard, robust) since I don't remember his name. In and out in 10 minutes tops. Last time I came here for headlights + installation and had excellent customer service by a younger gentleman, whose name has slipped my memory... installation was quick and I was out of there in like 15 minutes. 5 Stars This time, we came back for a different car - for lights and windshield wipers. While I am sure Gary is very knowledgeable, we did not appreciate the answering of the phone 3 times during our transaction with no "excuse me, let me just take this/sorry." There was also no offer to help with installation for the lights or windshield wipers, which is plastered everywhere that they offer as a complimentary service. While the phone may have been ringing, the store itself was not busy, I believe only one new person had walked in. We're buying over $100 of product with the lights, wipers - you'd think he'd offer a "did you need assistance with installation? we do that here." No, instead we felt rushed as though he would rather not deal with us. Disappointed. read more

I was referred here to purchase a cabin air filter when Jiffy Lube was out of stock with the one needed for my car. I walked in, Paul greeted me and helped me with my transaction. It was easy to work with him because he was knowledgeable about car parts. As a woman, who doesn't know much about cars- Paul didn't make me feel stupid, he was very helpful. Unfortunately my air filter was also out of stock, but he ordered one which was set to arrive at 2:30p same day. It was about 12- noonish, and Paul said he was going to call me when it arrives. Ringggg....ringggg... (my phone goes off) it's about 2:33p... Paul on the other end, says my part has arrived. Yay! Needed my battery changed. Lisa was in charge and said she knew how to change the battery of car. She send someone out who had no idea what she was doing to help with battery change. I'm all for teaching and learning, but don't send someone out there who doesn't know what they are doing WITHOUT supervision. Placing flat heads and pulling on things she doesn't know about. What's worse is I had to YouTube and show them what to do. Lisa even told the new person that "you never ever unscrew that". What's even worse is that I had to remind them about the battery protector things before they tightened everything. If you don't know how to change a battery just say so and I would of just gotten my warranty and paid someone who knew how to instead of you potentially ruining my car and costing me $1000+ to get my car fix for the stuff you attempted to do without any knowledge. You can't beat a store that is happy to help install the part you just bought! I am so grateful for the friendly employees here who recently helped (I held the flashlight) me change an air filter. Then he tightened the entire air hose thingy that was loose. They also installed a battery for me a few years ago and a headlight. They saved me 100s! Well, maybe 10s of dollars. See if your local mega mart will do that! Me thinks not. read more

This is without a doubt THE BEST customer service I have ever received at an auto parts store. I brought in my SUV and needed a new battery. The sweet young lady jumped up to the register and asked to help me. After confirming the type of battery I needed, I shamelessly asked her if she could help me install it. When I say "help" I mean, do it completely because I'm clueless when it comes to stuff like this. Being a 6'3 male, I felt stupid for even asking, but Sam (that's her name) was more than willing to help me. She literally ran across the store, getting the tools she needed. I grabbed the battery (which was the extend of my usefulness) and took it out to the SUV. It was the most difficult battery replacement EVER, and took about 20 minutes. That's not her fault, it's the stupid way that the battery sat in the hood and literally bolted down 6 different ways. She was cracking jokes and literally had be laughing the entire time. Sam is absolutely AMAZING and she didn't have to, but she was so eager to help and saw the installation through to completion. Please recognize her and her amazing efforts for this extraordinary example of what customer service should look like. I will never go anywhere other that O'Reilly's after this. Never stepped foot in this store, and based on the person I spoke with when I called last night around 7:15 I never will. I was looking for a specific size allen wrench that no store I went into had in stock, so I called this one before I drove to yet another. Every other store I called I was put on hold while someone checked (or said they were checking, who knows lol) but the girl who answered just said, "uh, we have a huge selection of allen wrenches, we probably have it." No offer to check, nothing, and honestly sounded like I was bothering her. I called again this morning and spoke with a dude actually seemed to give a shit and SHOCKER, the size I need isn't available... but he actually verified that. O'Reilly is a bit more expensive on some things than their competitor and less on other things so money wise it's a toss up on which one to go to, but what really set this specific location apart was how nice and customer service based this store is. Upon walking in I was greeted with no less than 4 "hello, welcome, hoe can I help you?" From each person behind the counter. Took me by surprise in this era of retailers making you the customer do their jobs for them. I went here as the computer said it had in stock a set of spark plugs, so I approached the last guy who offered to help. Jonathan pulled up the items on the computer and began physically searching for my plugs. While this was going on several people entered the store and each was greeted the same way I was. Two of them even pitched in searching the stock isles for my plugs. Nice teamwork. Anyway come to find out the computer lied and they didn't have my spark plugs and Jonathan began calling stores to find the closest one that did have them, told them to pull them, out my name on them and hold them as I would come get them, all without being asked by me to do so. Super cool! Will write a review of the store that pulled my items for me as well. Even though there is an auto zone and an O'Reillys closer to me I'll be using this location as my go to auto parts store, everyone here was nice, informative, helpful and didn't have to be told to be that way.
