Our favorite auto parts place for one major reason: the staff. They are so friendly and knowledgeable! If you get to work with David Dunn you're getting a guy that knows his stuff, and goes way above and beyond to help you out! We've come to him several times for multiple cars and every time he knows exactly what we need and if there's multiple options he weighs the pros and cons of our needs. He's even told us about things we never thought about for future maintenance and potential selling down the line. But at the end of the day, everyone knows their stuff and the location has good supply and availability for most parts. I went in today to order some parts. Stood there line waiting while the guy at the counter was on the phone. Then another cashier walked up and didn't ask me to walk forward to checkout. A new customer walks in grabs some stuff and checks out instantly. The bitter old nincompoop working here should retire. At the suggestion of Jiffy Lube, I came here to try and have my battery recharged. This guy's customer service was *immediately* sour, rudely asking me 'what are you doing?', rather than, oh I don't know, maybe 'how can I help you?'. When I said I wanted my battery tested he throws up his hands and says 'where is it?' and then continues his sour tone, saying 'I can't check it when it's in the car!' like it's the most ridiculous idea he's ever heard (when I just saw it done this way). I'm sorry bub; I don't come here so I don't know the ins and outs of your store to know the machine is in the back. Maybe my ignorance of how things are done came through, but there was a way this could have been explained without being a massive jerk. It happened again. After years of using Schucks/O'Reilly to keep my company trucks going, its time to go with another supplier and close my business account here. Called for a starter. Yep, got it. Took mine out for matchup and core, drove there from Lynnwood (past many other suppliers) only to walk in and have the guy tell me they don't have it. YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO PEOPLE !!! Sometimes mistakes like this really matter to your customer and can really mess them up when time matters. This also happened to me at the 44th and 212th street location on a battery once. The associated sales manager Malina is the worst here. I was here 2 days ago to get a car battery, the the guy who was there was willing to help and offered me to replace or charge and tested my battery and he removed my battery because I didn't have the tools but told me i need to replace it. I came in two days after to buy the battery and i met Melina and see was rude to me and didn't want to help with putting the battery on. She said we can't put the battery on for u neither get your battery for core, you need to get it ur self, I don't have enough employees here. Although 2 people were in the store and no customer was present. Im surprised because 2 days ago the other people helped me with the battery. She is rude and doesn't want to help at all. This oriley is the one I always go to. They have an abnormally large parts area so they almost always have the part I am looking for. Good customer service helps too. One thing about oriley is don't buy batteries from them. They are all extremely over priced. If you buy a battery, get it from Costco if you can, or interstate batteries on 99. Even oriley admits they have over priced batteries. The Costco batteries are made from the same company as the oriley batteries. read more

Pretty bad customer service from Caesar G. It was almost closed and Friday night so I get it. But I ran down here to grab this special car shine because I've been getting advertisements about it and I researched it and I also wanted to get the 3 free microfiber towels that the advertisement said I could get only in store. The young sales person behind the counter was very dismissive said he didn't know anything about the towels, he doesn't know if you have to mail in your receipt or if they email you a voucher and furthermore he admitted he doesn't care to learn or know about the promotions because it doesn't benefit him to know and he mocked the "great training" they give them to learn anything they are supposed to know. I needed windshield wiper blades for my car and I remembered there was an auto parts store on the way to Costco. Parking was easy and when inside, the salesman offered to swap them out for me even though it was actively raining. I was there all of five minutes, maybe ten. If you're in the area and need auto parts, stop by this location. They are also open late every night except Sunday, for those automotive needs! Customer beware! I bought a set of snow chain at this store. At the time of purchase the clerk told me that only unused chains could be returned. He never made me aware of the fact that at the bottom of my receipt there was a note stating: All sales are final-No warranty-No refund. I tried to returned them still in its bags, still factory packaged and I was informed that the person who sold it to me gave me the wrong information and they did not accept the return. Big thanks to the 2 gentlemen that was working last Monday night 6/10/2013. I originally went to o'reilly in bothell to run a engine coding for my car and the car parts that I needed, they didn't have it. The guy in bothell didn't seem to care helping me out, he was busy playing with his tennis ball. Anyway, I just wanna thanks the guys from 180th O'Reilly for helping me out and educating a little about my car problem. My serpentine belt went out, they even print out a diagram how to put a belt properly and told me that if I have any other problems with my car just call them since that store happens to be the distribution center. I asked if he could figure out what kind of light I needed and he went out to my car, had me turn it on and open the hood. Bought two new batteries, a starter and a few other parts from these guys, bill was about 550. Blake was helping me out that day. Found his service to be good, albeit not particularly informed or speedy. He agreed to price match the starter to Autozones price, which is just next door. (the motivation behind going to O Rielly to begin with) after getting home I realized the price match was never applied. Went back a week later to try and get the price matched. Alexander was helping me out this time. I was given some reason why they couldn't match it. Enjoy the extra 50 bucks. read more

Response: " I don't care." The magic words. I'll crawl past O'Reilly through a mile of broken glass to get to an Advance Auto Parts- or an Autozone, which was right next door. Wonderful!!! I had to replace headlight bulb of my car, but I did not know what to buy/how to replace it as I've never done it by my own. Tonight, I stop by this place hoping I could get some advice. David at O'Reilly picked right/most reasonable item for me, and even offered to replace it for FREE!!! It was very cold outside tonight, but he spent about 10 minutes to replace both side of bulbs and put some treatment oils around socket so I could easily replace them next time by myself. How nice!! I've been having so many car issue and bad luck with mechanic guys, recently. I spent a lot of money and nothing has really been fixed. I wish I could give all the money I spent on those mechanic guys to David, instead! I highly recommend this place. Everybody at this store seem to be very friendly and helpful. When you have your car issue, you should probably visit this place to get some advice before trying mechanic. Chances are you could fix it by your own for way less $$. Again, this place is AWESOME!! When I needed a water pump that was exceptionally difficult to source he handled the auto parts system with ease. Just got screwed by this store big time. Was told on a Sunday that I could bring my rotors in to be turned if I showed up before 6pm. Spent all the time taking off all 4 rotors and got them to the store at 5:45 and was told they sent their rotor guy home already and wouldn't be able to get to my rotors until Monday morning. They also price match so bring in a price from elsewhere and they will match it. They even price matched a catalytic converter I saw on line. These people are friendly. read more
