I generally try to avoid Jiffy Lube because I've found that employees are often not well trained. Unfortunately, this visit reinforced that impression. After waiting about 10 minutes, I was brought into the bay. I showed one employee a $25-off coupon, and he told me they likely could not accept it, offering $10 off instead. I then sat in the bay for approximately an hour. Another employee later told me they would give me $10 off for the long wait, but the original $10 discount was never applied. My mileage was confirmed by two different employees. I was also told my oil filter was "very hard to get to," and I overheard the same explanation being given to the customer in the neighboring bay. When I was directed out of the bay, no one clearly indicated that I was free to leave, and there was no closing interaction or acknowledgment. Throughout the service, four to five employees were standing around while only one person was actually working underneath my car. Ultimately, I feel my time was wasted--and my time is far more valuable than the cost of the oil change itself. ADDITION: Also, they never turned off the service notification light in my car. In response to this review I emailed Jiffy Lube my contact info notifying them I didn't want to spend any more of my time trying to assist them with their employee training but would be willing to have a conversation for a partial refund. I pulled up to jiffy lube, when there were two cars in the bay, six employees wandering around and three employees looking like they were actually working. I waited behind one of the bays patiently to be acknowledged, and after fifteen minutes, I was still not acknowledged. They don't even say hello. After the fifteen minutes, I figured they didn't want my business..... i left and went to a different oil change place altogether in which they greeted me when I arrived. And happy to have my business. I will never go back to the lake Ballinger. Jiffy lube, since they obviously don't care about service or not. read more

This location has extremely helpful employees that will go beyond anyone's expectations. I came here to top off my vehicle after a recent oil change, and was greeted with great enthusiasm. They even suggested ways for me to maintain my vehicle myself in terms of checking air pressure, cleaning the inside out, and etc. I also gave them a review last month on google that I forgot about. Do not come here. Jiffy Lube wrecked my oil pan and I had to pay thousands to replace it. In late august I took my camper van to the ballinger way jiffy lube for an oil change before heading out for a weekend camping trip. The oil change started, and after 20 minutes we were asked if we wanted to change transmission fluid. I declined. 5 minutes later we were told that there was a problem with the oil pan's drain plug. It wasn't able to seal (it was sealed and working prior to the oil change), and they said whoever worked on it last must have broke it and fixed it improperly(?). They attempted to "fix" it and damaged the oil pan even further. I had to get my van towed to a different shop to get the oil pan replaced. It costed me $1600, not including towing costs. Jiffy lube refused to take responsibility, and because I did not have pictures of the underside of my van I had to pay for the repairs in full. A simple oil change robbed me of my weekend camping trip and thousands of dollars. I've since talked to multiple mechanics, including the shop that replaced the oil tray. Every single one believe Jiffy Lube broke the oil pan and lied to cover their own workers. Please do not make the same mistake I did. A simple oil change turned into a nightmare. This place is slow and expensive. As of Oct 2022, spent $99 - 15 with coupon for a full synthetic oil change (no upfront price posted so you can get a surprise). Went on a Monday morning and took more than an hour to get in and out. Service is good but overpriced and convoluted -- had to move my car multiple times in the lot. For the price you pay, you might as well go to the dealership and get a tire rotation as well. read more

Went to get a quick oil change done but apparently my car didn't have its oil changed. Before I got there, my check engine light was blinking. I check again immediately after the "oil change" and it was still blinking. I scheduled an appointment with Loyal Automotive just to double check that it was the oil and they confirmed that it didn't look like the oil had actually been changed recently. This is extremely agitating to me especially because I'm a delivery driver and driving my car for deliveries has been a nightmare between the Jiffy Lube "oil change" and having to wait for the Loyal Automotive appointment. I wouldn't typically leave a review for a place that isn't a restaurant however the service was so exceptional I wanted to ensure I made it known. This location specifically. The location I went previously was maybe a 1-2 star experience every time. This location explained everything instead of assuming I knew what was going on. They even tried to make my whiny dog feel welcome but unfortunately after searching they realized they were out of treats. Good customer service goes a long way and showing that you care. Lied to me about price. Told me oil change was $59.99 and they would email me my receipt, it was completely different staff since the last time I went so I guess they are staffed by scammers now. I was never sent my receipt and was charged $81 instead of the $59.99 I was told. I'm pretty dang sure tax on a $60 purchase is not $20. Will be going back tomorrow to demand the difference refunded. There was a bit of a wait but I just hung out in their little lobby with the AC which was super appreciated during this heat wave. Despite the complexity and uniqueness of the taillight's housing, Sheldon good naturedly and quickly figured it out, found the right replacement in stock, and got it fixed. Oh my goodness, this Jiffy Lube Ballinger Way location is so amazing! Their people were so nice. I took my car there last week and they let me leave it while I went to the gym. The person that helped me wore a black mask - not sure his name- but was funny and courteous. I took our other car there today (yes, both of our cars were long overdue!) and same thing -- Donniella helped me today, and holy crap, was she super nice. My headlights both went out within a day of each other even though I had them changed in August. I called here first since it was close and he told me first come, first service and they'll try to help me. When I did come by that day they didn't have the right bulbs, but suggested to buy them from next door, O'Reilly, or elsewhere and they would try to help. I did just that, came back, they had them both fixed and I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. Both times I was there they were all very kind. I believe the manager's name was Daniel. Sketchy. The oil change was fine, but I was recommended to get my break fluid and pads replaced ASAP because they were "empty and worn down to nothing" and they gave me a "coupon" to use at a repair shop nearby. I barely use my car, so I got a second opinion NOT at the recommended shop. They said my break fluid was almost full and the pads were in great shape and wouldn't need to be replaced or filled anytime soon LOL! Glad I know better and saved myself a few hundred dollars. read more

I came in for an oil change and they were out of the all synthetic high mileage oil that I wanted. Devon called 12 Jiffy Lubes in the area to see if they had that type of oil. There seems to be a nationwide shortage. So I got the conventional high mileage oil change and I must say Devon and staff outdid themselves trying to help me out in every way possible. Kudos!
