    Pacific Plump oysters

My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and he picked the perfect restaurant! We were both absolutely wowed by O Sea. We started off with the Maryland crab cakes which I would not have ordered but am SO glad he did because it was one of my favorites of the night. The chunks of crab with the assist from the zesty light slaw with pickled onions and garlic crisps was perfection. The spicy shrimp and fries were also so good. Probably some of the best fries and juicy shrimp we've had. The scallops were so rich and soft. The cioppino was delicious, I've never had anything like it! Sadly I could not partake in the oysters but my husband liked them. The Thai tea blondie was also one of my favorites. It was a nice and sweet surprise from the restaurant. I don't think I would've ordered it but I'm so glad I got to try it because the texture of the blondie is unreal and the ice cream was perfect. I'd definitely get that again when I come back. The service was great. Everyone was attentive and helpful even though the restaurant was consistently busy through the night. The restaurant is able to accommodate varying party sizes from couples to large parties. They have booth seating, table seating indoor and outdoor seating too. Would love to come back for their happy hour and wine sometime! Overall a very memorable and pleasant dinner!

What a nice spot for dinner in Orange! I came to celebrate a wedding anniversary, and they went above and beyond--even giving us a free dessert. Personally, I'd rate the food 4/5, but the service and hospitality easily 6/5. Clam Chowder - My favorite! Very flavorful and perfectly made. (5/5) O SEA Burrito - I had the cod version. Tasty, saucy fish burrito, though it doesn't come with sides. (4/5) Lobster Roll - Just okay. The lobster chunks were more shredded than chunky, which was different from what I expected. The seasoned fries were crispy and tasty, though. (3.5/5) Thai Milk Tea Blondie Sundae - Our free dessert was a hit! Unique, soft, and very tasty. (5/5) Overall, come for the experience--decent seafood, great service, and a nice ambiance. It does get crowded around 6-7 pm, but I had a reservation through OpenTable and got a prime seat. Parking: Free 3-hour lot nearby, or street parking around DT Orange.

When youre in the mood for some great and plump oysters alongside some fun orange wine and other fun food - O Sea is definitely the place you want to indulge in. My gf and her friends wanted fresh seafood with great prices (happy hour is hard to beat). Really great nautical vibe indoors but more refined than your general seafood place. Oysters: 10/10 - they came out nice shucked for the first round, but a bit more brazen for the second dozen. Flavor was still great, and they were nice and PLUMP. We had an assortments of other food, such as the crudo (great), spicy albacore on crispy rice (not my favorite, a bit small for my liking), hot shrimp (MUST GET) and steamed mussels (great broth!) Service and wine recommendations were also amazing, and I'm glad we got to try some delicious libations for part 1 of a bang bang. :)

Fries were crisp and seasoned well. Lobster Roll was dry and flavorless. I left feeling unsatisfied.

I wish I could give this a higher rating, but unfortunately the negative was too important. I am constantly in search of a good Lobster Roll near me. I was excited when I read the reviews for the ones here. I don't mind spending a little more for something special that I can't make myself. My sister and I both got one. When it came, The presentation was nice but I noticed right away the bread was toasted. The ones I've gotten are always on soft, buttery rolls. This was dry and flavorless. The lobster seemed almost shredded and bland. Had to put the seasoned mayo on every bite just to give it flavor. The fries that come with it were good-crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and nice and hot. The service was good, the atmosphere was clean and fresh. I would come back. Just won't bother with the Lobster Rolls. With tax and tip it was $45.19 (and I didn't even get a drink or dessert)!

Spicy Wild Tahitian Albacore Tuna on Crispy Rice - 4/5 stars

Service is spectacular here. We were checked on multiple times to make sure we had everything that we needed or if we needed anything else they were very helpful the whole time I would like to say that our server Filly was just outstanding very attentive very kind. We celebrated an anniversary and he brought us their THAI MILK TEA BLONDIE SUNDAE 'greater than the sum of its parts' -- vanilla ice cream, thai tea caramel, sea salt This sound pretty simple and I thought about ordering it, but then I didn't and it was given to us complementary for our anniversary. I'm actually glad they brought this out. I wasn't in the mood for dessert, but for some reason once I tried that Blondie at the bottom of the Sunday it was crunchy on the outside soft on the inside with some saltines on top that complimented the caramel sauce on top of the ice cream that it blew me away. I ate more than half of it and usually I'm not the biggest desert person, but it wasn't too sweet and if it was, it was the saltines that actually made this dish what it was along with that Blondie at the Bottom it made me want to order another even though I know I couldn't have finished it 5/5 stars WILD TAHITIAN ALBACORE TUNA POKE 15.95 blood orange aji amarillo dressing, jicama, cucumber - taro chips The blood orange and Aji Amarillo dressing stole the show of this tune poke. It felt like a ceviche the blood orange just sets this dish apart from others ceviche's that they have on the menu. It's a pleasant delight to taste a different type of citrus in ceviche style tuna poke. 4/5 HAND ROLL with ALBACORE TUNA or CRISPY SALMON SKIN CHICHARRON' ea 9.95 nori rice, sunomono pickles, spicy mayo, avocado, furikake - citrus ponzu I got one of each and they were just OK flavors didn't make anything really pop out and like I said, the albacore tuna seemed like it didn't have much flavor to it. The fish seems super fresh. I like that the salmon skin wasn't greasy. 3/5 stars WILD SPANISH OCTOPUS 'A LA PLANCHA' 19.95 - guajillo sauce, curtido slaw, cotija cheese, grilled lime The curtido was said tasty spot in to authentic Salvadorian cortido. There was something about it and I'm not sure what the extra or substituted flavor is in it but it made it a step above. The octopus was cooked just right leaving it tender and not so chewy. The skin was soft and easy to cut through. 4.5/5 stars SPICY WILD TAHITIAN ALBACORE TUNA on CRISPY RICE 19.95 - avocado, green onion, sweet soy, jalapeño, furikake The spicy tuna lacked some flavor and I'm. Or sure why. Usually tuna has a great favor but it felt as if there wasn't any flavor at all. Maybe it was the fish itself and contained to just that catch. I can't even say it was bad but I can't say it's great. With all the other flavors added on tile it was good. 3/5 stars Agua Fresca of the day was fruit punch and that thing had so much flavor with so many different fruits that they have added to that fruit punch I can't help but say it's amazing. I had two glasses and I wanted more. 5/5 stars I will be returning to try some of their larger dinner options. We decided to try many of the smaller plates that you can either share or just eat yourself. Filly really made this memorable for us and we're hoping to see him again. Next time we visit he paid enough attention to us that he came back to offer lighting the dessert again so that my wife could take a photo of me blowing it out although I declined because I don't like to take photos of myself I did take one of her with thethanks to him.

We had a bit of an unexpected experience here, but the service, ambience, and selection was absolutely amazing and the staff completely made it right. We would come back again. What really impressed us was how the restaurant responded. They didn't just replace the dish-they went far above and beyond and ended up comping our entire meal, including drinks and dessert. That level of customer service says a lot about a restaurant. Anyone can have an issue in the kitchen, but the way a place takes care of its guests is what really matters. The staff here treated us incredibly well and made sure we left happy. We've been coming here for years and we're so happy to see that this place was bustling. Now we know why it's stood the test of time. Check out the receipt photo...they literally comped everything. That kind of integrity and service goes a long way, and we would absolutely come back. Thank you, Alyse!

Recognized as OC's best seafood restaurant by the Los Angeles Times, O Sea offers a variety of delicious seafood fare. The Oaxacan hot shrimp was crispy and nicely seasoned. The batter is slightly thick but the shrimp inside is nice and plump. The side of fries were a bit disappointing ...right temperature and texture but not salted or seasoned so it lacked flavor. The cioppino was packed with a generous amount of seafood and the soup is yummy and slightly spicy. The bread could be better...doesn't really go well with this type of broth. Burrito with sea bass...it was filling but average performance, Staff is attentive and space is open and relaxing. Not a bad choice for seafood lunch but not sure if I would vote this as OC's best seafood restaurant.

Awesome happy hour! $1.95 oysters, tasty bites - we got the green curry mussels and the crispy hot shrimp. The green curry was outstanding - we were sure to soak it all up with the bread - we even dipped some of our fries in it - so tasty! The crispy hot shrimp were extraordinary - probably the best shrimp I've had in a while - sizeable shrimp fried to perfection with the perfect amount of spice. The fries were excellently crispy. The octopus was wonderful - nice char - we enjoyed the pesto potatoes that came with it too. The oysters were fresh and tasty. We got an NA beer and blood orange aqua Fresca to drink. Service was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the outdoors seating.

The food here was great!! We ordered the poke, spicy tuna crispy rice, burrata, green curry mussels, special of the day: sea bass, green goddess salad, stone fruit salad, and bread pudding. All were delicious, the only one that was a bit disappointing was the poke (didn't seem that fresh and had a weird texture). Our favorites were the spicy tuna crispy rice and burrata toast. The flavors were great. Runner up was the fresh sea bass, super tender and flavorful but a bit pricier. The bread pudding was delicious and the perfect way to end a great dinner. Service was friendly and the ambiance was nice - cozy and just enough light. A good amount of street parking since it's downtown Orange.

Truly a gem of a spot in Orange circle. Ambience and vibes are casual chic. Chill music a clean and cozy design, and a good crowd mix on a Friday night. Service was attentive, not annoying. Menu had a nice variety of seafood centric dishes but everyone in our party found something to eat even if they didn't want seafood. I had the Kumamoto's, hamachi crudo, and chowder with whole clams but tried a few other dishes from friends and it was all good! Would totally come back.

Very cute spot for a quick brunch! We ordered the salmon ceviche, steamed mussels, oaxacan hot shrimp, green goddess salad and corn soup. This was PLENTY for a group of 3 girls that love to pick at their meal and try different things! I think the best dish was definitely the hot shrimp. I just could not get enough. My only complaint about the dish is that it sits in the oil at the bottom of the plate but the flavor, crispiness and portion is perfection! It comes with fries or salad, of course we had to get the fries. These are also well seasoned as well. No plain bites here! The steamed mussels were well cooked and tasty. The ceviche was also very good. If I had to change anything about this meal, I probably would have skipped the soup and salad and gotten another small bites dish! The seafood is all very fresh and service is great. Will be back to try more dishes in the near future.

We had date night here. My wife suggested it because she had a wonderful experience last year. We ordered the burrata appetizer, fish and chips and she ordered the hamburger. She raved how nice the burrata and burger was last time she went. 1. The burrata with apricot mustard an compote was ok. My wife said that they changed it. It used to be burrata topped with honey, orange marmalade, slices of spicy red peppers with basil. She raved how nice this was and loved the flavors. 2. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly. The sides were ok. The tartar sauce was runny and lacked flavor, and the thinly sliced cucumbers were also lacking in flavor. I don't know if it was supposed to be pickled, as there was no vinegar taste. 3. My wife's double cheeseburger was fine. It was a little greasier than before. The fries were great, flavorful and crispy. Burger enthusiasts will be satisfied. There was a nice side sauce too. I used it as an alternative to my tartar sauce. The service was OK. It wasn't busy (Tue night, 6pm) but we felt it was slow. We felt like we had to wait for our menus, appetizer, plate clearing and bill longer than average. When we received our entrees, they didn't think to clear our appetizer plates, so we had to shift. We had the same server as the time she went and the service was better. Overall, the food was good, and service was slow. My wife felt that her experience slightly declined from her earlier visit.

    Happy hour Oysters

Food: We came in for the happy hour oysters and crispy tuna rice! Oysters were on the salty side, but they had good cocktail sauce and shallot sauce. The crispy tuna rice was perfect, the rice was crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. I love how they don't mash the tuna, but they leave it whole slices. Service: There was plenty of seats of available inside and there's a few outdoor seats too! The service was exceptional, each worker had checked in to see how we were doing and if we needed anything else. Ambiance: it's rustic inside, and it reminds me of the beach! It felt like I was near the beach in Laguna. It's very clean inside! Parking is a bit busy since it's located in the Orange Circle.

I have gone the past 2 years and never had issues getting it on the first day. This year was different. I got there around 5:05 and walked into the shop to see a lot of tables empty. I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

There didn't seem to be a dress code but people were mostly dressed nice. The service was phenomenal. We were greeted by the owner himself and he made sure that we were seated and comfortable and helped us understand the menu and their wine selection. Our server was amazing as well. She was very attentive in taking our order. For food I ordered the crab cakes, the shishito peppers, and the Atlantic salmon with the chimichurri sauce on the side. I substituted the mashed potatoes for French fries because I don't eat dairy. Everything was delicious and a little different. For the shishito peppers usually these are served with a tangy sauce and the shishito peppers are blistered. With this dish the shishito peppers were still blistered but they were served on a sweet mustard sauce. For the salmon that was also delicious, served with vegetables. The French fries were great. The crab cakes were pretty good. Now if you're from Maryland you are not going to like these crab cakes, of course, because you're from crab cake capital, but for California crab cakes they were good. I would definitely come back here. I didn't get to try the wine but next time I will definitely try some of the wine and some additional food dishes.

California Vintage Wine Bistro has perfect low lighting, a thoughtful setup, and pleasant vibe-setting tunes playing in the background, creating a wonderful ambiance. We enjoyed a red Zinfandel from Argentina to drink--the wine list is very diverse and features selections from across the globe, including a wine tasting offering. For our meal, we ordered the Burrata and Baby Heirloom Tomato Salad, Steak Au Poivre, and Pan Fried Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. All of the dishes were excellent and featured high quality ingredients, but I would certainly order that steak again. The green peppercorn brandy sauce on it was absolutely excellent to go along with a well cooked, great piece of meat. We finished the meal with their house-baked chocolate cookies, which were dangerously buttery and delicious. The restaurant was dark and stylish, and I immediately liked the vibe. Even though it was crowded for a Thursday night, we were seated within 15 minutes. We each picked a shareable dish to split. Predictably, my daughter chose the mac and cheese. I rolled my eyes -- it's so her -- but it turned out to be the best of the four. Maybe it was the velvety cheese sauce or the golden cracker crust that made it so irresistible, but that mac and cheese was, as she'd say, absolutely bussin'. The next standout was the maple-buttered Brussels sprouts, my man's pick. If all vegetables tasted this good, I'd eat them every day. Candied pecans, maple butter, blue cheese -- how could that not be amazing? Was it healthy? Sus, but definitely worth it. I picked the pig candy for the group, which was outrageously sweet and candy-like. Clearly, this wasn't healthy -- bacon, sugar, and rye whiskey caramel make a trifecta of indulgence. But it was so delicious, I couldn't complain. The sliders were the last shareable we tried. They were fine but didn't stand out -- the meat was a bit dry. I also ordered a cocktail (something pretty and fruity, though I can't remember the name). The bartender nailed it, delivering a delicious drink. My man enjoyed his Negroni. The service was great, and I loved the grassy area with fire pits for hanging out. Excellent place for our first night out in Irvine!
