We had a EPC light come on while driving through Redding. There is not a VW service department in Redding. We checked Yelp and called 02 Motorsports. They did not pick up so we just drove to the facility. After explaining our situation the owner got involved, told us to relax in their beautiful lobby, checked to see if they had the part in stock he thought might be the problem and personally went out and did a check engine scan. He came back in 10 minutes, told us it was not what he thought, gave us some good advise and the print out and told us he would drive the car until it happened again. All at NO CHARGE! And we were back on the road in less than 30 Minutes! This is an honest shop! One man who was leaving in his car said they good good work. You can see from the reviews they are liked. Redding you are so fortunate to have O2! We were travelling back to Victoria, Canada and we broke down 30 miles north of Redding. As we were driving a BMW the tow truck driver suggested O2 auto repairs and we were so glad he did. This was one of the best experiences under very unfortunate circumstances. The owners and staff were absolutely amazing. When I first started going here I really enjoyed them. The lady that answers the phone at the front desk is very sweet and provides great service. However I have not had the most incredible experience with who I believe is her husband and the owner. I was looking to get my audi fixed and as well get the tail light fixed on it. I had a tail light that someone sold to me at a cheap price so I brought it in to see if they might be able to put it on. After my car was fixed I felt like I was being yelled at and told that I just need to buy a new car... I was also told that the tail light doesnt fit. I believed them, then got a ticket soon after for my tail light and decided to try to put the thing on myself. So I put it on and it fit! I was so thankful it fit but a bit disappointed that they told me it didnt. Maybe there was a mistake and I hope so. I have had both good and bad experiences with this place so far... other than some of those issues it seems they know what they are talking about. I just want to make sure Im getting an honest response at a good rate. It can be hard to find in redding if you have a german car! read more

Went to the shop to get my brother's car worked on and researched some auto shops that specialized in BMWs. When I came to O2 motorsports, I was greeted by Stacey and her 2 dogs. When I was describing the problems I was encountering with the car, Steve was capable of easily diagnosing and isolating what the issues were with it, & give quick estimations as to the costs of the parts and the labor. Overall, the costs for repair were reasonable (not outrageous, like other reputable shops down south), they were able to fit me into their schedule (which was pretty full, yet they were very accommodating), and finished the work in a day. They were fast, courteous, professional, and so easy to get along with. Aside from just praising them, the work their shop did was great. A lot of work needed to be done to the car, but when I got it back, it was running almost as well as the first day I picked it up from the dealership back in 2001. All the little noises, jitters, and odd issues that I experienced were all gone! They did a great job! Thanks again Stacey, Steve, and the personnel at O2 Motorsports. We have been using O2 exclusively since 2015 for our Porsche & BMW. O2 has earned our business by quickly diagnosing issues accurately and advising how to reconcile, whatever, without additional surprises. The shop is first class, neat & tidy, technicians are quiet and busy. They repair, not just replace. The waiting area is very comfortable. I usually get a heads up when picking up a car, about future maintenance needs. All this is good stuff, and twice O2 has made things happen when emergencies occurred and we needed HELP NOW. My second-youngest son bought a Porsche Boxster-- he brought it to O2-- they spent HOURS checking the car, and found out the motor was trashed by the previous owner-- but they didn't charge my son-- totally unexpected. My son was able to return the car, thank god, and Steve and Stacey's kindness and honesty were beyond the call of duty. Recently, I took my youngest son's BMW to O2-- again, Steve was honest, straightforward, and gave my son excellent advice-- we will now take ALL of our cars to O2-- truly, honest shops are hard to find, and O2 has proven to be honest, fair and direct in their dealings-- I can't understand the one bad review here-- perhaps the poster is confusing O2 with a different repair shop? Quite simply the most amazing place to take your car for repair. These guys are wonderful. I HATE car repairs and until I took my car (a BMW 525) to O2 I usually couldn't deal with car repairs and typically traded my car in for a new one when I started having trouble. But Stacey and Steve are the most special honest people you will ever have the good fortunate to encounter. My husband first went to O2 with his X5 and, once my warranty expired, I followed with my car. I have recommended that people drive from the Bay Area to Redding to go to O2. I have been taking my VW Cabrio to O2 Motosports for about 5 years and have always been satisfied with their service. My older car has come up with some tricky issues which Steve has always solved. His confidence is warranted. The other mechanics are well-trained, too. The shop is immaculate. The owners are a pleasure to do business with. They're pleasant, efficient and fun. First of all, my experience was around a couple years ago, so maybe everything has changed and everything is totally good, BUT... my experience was quite bad. As I have recently learned to use online recommendations and would want to hear this myself, I'm telling my story. I brought my 'new' car (purchased from a friend) into O2 Motorsports to have them find anything that needed attention. Everything seemed good and I was treated well, but they came back with over $2,500 worth of important items needing repair. I went to my friend and told him of the report. He was highly skeptical and said to take it to another mechanic, which I did. The second mechanic only listed minor repairs needed (around $200). I took it to a third which agreed almost exactly with the 2nd. In my search for the truth I learned other disturbing information about 02 Motorsports, but that was second hand info so I wont post it here as I can't know 100% if it was true. From my experience, all indications point toward unethical behavior. It was a disappointing experience and actually caused friction with my friend when I showed him the report. I will never go back and I'll discourage anyone else from visiting. read more

We have taken our BMW 325iT to O2 Motorsports several times for servicing over the years and have been consistently pleased and impressed, but up until yesterday have never needed repairs.Returning from Christmas shopping on Highway 44 in heavy traffic yesterday, my wife experienced a complete loss of gear linkage, and though the engine continued to operate, there was zero power to the wheels. She coasted to the shoulder, was assisted off the freeway by a kind and helpful CHP officer, called a tow truck (and me), and we met the truck at O2 Motorsports where we described the problem to Stacy and Steve. Stopped for lunch, and by the time we got home Stacy had left a message that our car was repaired and ready for pickup. Turns out a pin had become disabled, Steve salvaged another from a tranny on its way to recycling, gave it to us free, and charged a total of $26.00 for his time. As an added bonus, we got to chat with Stacy, play with their four dogs, and enjoy the ambiance of a spotlessly clean and tastefully appointed front office. To echo what others have said, these folks are highly competent and efficient, honest, and the nicest people you could ever want to meet. Highly recommended. read more
