Sad to see my (former) favorite pizza spot fall apart. Ingredients no longer taste fresh and my beloved Arancini is constantly undercooked and stale. Pizza dough is tough and dense. Price keeps skyrocketing but quality keeps sinking. After the orig owner sold it, it was maintained well for a while but has now fallen into disarray. No active website, social, or any way of getting info/menu. It will take a miracle to revive O4W Pizza or maybe just an owner who actually cares. read more

I came across an online article about America's best pizza joints state by state...this place came in at the #1 and only best in Georgia. I talked myself into the challenge and drove over an hour to see what the deal was. During the drive and against my better judgment, I avoided the temptation of placing an order for pickup and decided to take it in as I go so to speak and upon arrival.So, after conquering my dakar rallye/24hr Lemans meets Mad Maxx drive through Atlanta, I arrived. I walked into a dimly lit,hot and dank room void of any notion that fresh anything, let alone delicious pizza was being prepared,baked, cooked or heated. I peered into the pizza case propped up just inside the front door and observed what appeared to be old,dry,stale and long forgotten variations of something better suited for a thiller music video. Maybe tales from the crypt evn. I should have known better but I allowed myself to forget the history in this town in regards to food hype...but it gets better...stay with me..,so, the employee approached,half happy to see me and less happy to be there apparently and proceeds to wipe her sweaty brow with her apron...another failed moment for me to escape but I foolishly forged on and proceeded to order 2 slices from the case...I proceeded to prepare a soft drink from the fountain and void of ice. I sat down and waited for my order while casually taking in the room...In a short time, the reheated pizza came. (Do not mistake reheated pizza for fresh)...the grated cheese sifters were empty so I asked if any was available. She walks away and returns what looked like something very well left over from another customers plate or the trash...and not a word like it was standard....people, this was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. EVER! It's not NY style anything. The dough was hard as a fn rock, and the toppings were nothing short of disgusting. Thin dough vs thin crust are bot the same. Zero freshness. Not the sauce,the cheese...nothing. Hands down pure garbage.Many people will eat just about anything when it comes to pizza these days,just ask race trac ... and whoever voted it #1 in any place let alone an entire state is completely dilutional. This place strikes me as yet another food business barely getting by and cutting every single corner they can to keep open. The single serve slice should be a benchmark and cornerstone of every good pizza joint...it is certainly not the case here. read more

Very good "thin crust" pizza. Walked by after an event nearby and decided to stop in. My husband was super excited to try and that says a lot because I'm actually the pizzahead. Lady behind the counter definitely killed the vibe and we ended up just ordering whatever feeling rushed. No greeting whatsoever. Just an ugly look like we were wasting her time. I honestly just wanted to walk right back out but like I said my husband was excited to try and was trying hard to stay positive. Another couple came in after us and received the same cold annoyed service we got so I don't know if thats a normal experience or what. The establishment was also extremely warm from the ovens so the front door was propped open. Not sure if that's normal either. Regardless we took our slices to enjoy in the car because we were ready to get out of there. Bummer because the pizza was actually very good. read more

Dont eat here until they build a glass case around the entire pizza stand, we walked in and there were so many flies sitting on those pizzas, my son and I walked right back out the door, but what do you expect if you keep the doors open like that, I have ordered an entire pie from this place before, so they have pretty good pizza. Overall: so far, best pizza in the area, highly recommend Been here a few times, but I have actually never been inside the establishment beyond the counter. Nothing too exciting about the interior, just a typical appearing pizzeria. The front counter has a New York pizzeria feel with the display case that has a few of their different pies. I have also never had any issues with the service, which is pretty average. The pizzas are delicious. I usually go with the Grandma's pizza. Honestly, I have no idea why they are called Grandma's pizza? I am guessing grandma just did not have a round oven pan? Anyway, my favorite is the Spicy Italian. There are a decent amount of toppings on the pizza, so each piece is a little heavy making it a slight challenge to eat. All of the toppings complement each other well and the ratio of ingredients to sauce and cheese is just right. Definitely the best pizza in the area so far. read more

I've reviewed this place before and I feel as if different experiences warrant different reviews. I'll start off by saying the pizzas here are delicious and full of quality ingredients. I got one of the margherita round pizzas and boy is it saucy. (in a good way!) However, I ordered via UberEats. (They are happy to provide sauce, etc on the side if requested!) Previously, I've dined in on multiple occasions for years and I've got to say the dining experience is subpar. It's a little stuffy, dim, and I would much rather this place be a go-to delivery/take-out than a dining-in experience. The historical building really shows how old it is compared to the newer nearby spots like Good Word and is in desperate need of renovations in my opinion. In short, great food, just not the best dine-in spot. Definitely a top contender for delivery though! read more

Love grabbing slices from here. Fortunately I work near by so it's an easy walk to O4W to grab a slice when craving some good pizza. They are always consistent with my many choices. I haven't gotten whole pizzas from here many years ago but do forget how they were. So I'm currently referring to my slice experiences. Which is super convenient. Tip: order ahead for pick up. I wouldn't say this is a sit down restaurant although there are tables there. If you didn't order ahead, there are other nearby shops and park area where you can hang out to fill your time. I get Grandma's pizza. It's a unique pizza that I've never had anything similar to it. First visit, you order at the counter. Staff was not the most friendly. This is essentially all carry-out, but there are some table and chairs outside beside the building. We ordered a pizza ($25) and took a seat outside and about 15 min later it was ready. Nice, crisp crust. Overall, the pizza was good, but not great IMO. read more

It was a Wednesday evening and they were busy but the service and communication was appreciated as they tried their best to prepare the incoming orders. There's both indoor and outdoor seating's to accommodate small or large groups. The indoor area is not as cool due to oven's that's in continuous use. It has been over 3 years since I've been to O4W and given that my wife is visiting her family, I thought I'd give it another shot. I regret doing it. If O4W is open a year from now, I'd be shocked. If you haven't read my previous reviews, you'll see that for a while O4W made being a Brooklynite in Atlanta tolerable. When friends would visit, we'd bring them here and they would be wow'd. O4W was able to hang with the big name joints back home, and was even better than some of them (I'll say it, Di Fara sucks). But now? Like I said, I regret going today. This is the biggest downfall I've ever seen in my life. The place was empty, there were maybe three people working and none of the family seems to be involved any more. This was the place that made me realize that I like Detroit style pizza, so I got one Detroit slice and one regular slice. The regular slice had absolutely no flavor. If you want a good NY style slice, go to Piccola Pizza in Dunwoody. The Detroit slice? Soft, cold, soggy and bland. The whole point of a Detroit pizza is the caramelized cheese crust and that just did not exist at all. Given the choice, I'd take Stouffer's French bread pizza over what I ate at O4W today. It honestly feels like fame got to the Spina family's head and caused some kind of schism and it wiped out the passion from the business. I don't hide the fact that I don't enjoy living in Atlanta, but it was nice to have a place that could momentarily quell any feeling of being homesick. However, that just doesn't exist here anymore. Thankfully the wife is coming around to going back home, but that still doesn't make this any less tragic. read more

When I first walked in, I thought it was a joke that an older woman was asleep at one the 4 top tables for everyone to see. Initially, I thought she was a drunk customer but it turns out she works there. If she is an owner or manager, what a complete DISGRACE!! Also, there was a Door Dash or Uber Eats driver that arrived to claim their delivery, she was RUDE to him. Me and driver looked at each other like WTH!! On to the food, I brought my daughter there because she loves pizza. The pizza and wings we had were pretty good. If you can get past the customer service, I do recommend their buffalo chicken pizza slice with ranch! Their wings are good in size but average tasting. For added color, there were no other customers in the restaurant; the vibe was awful!! The other staff members were not rude, but they were not friendly either. Definitely was looking forward to this pizza shop since it offered Detroit Style Pizza, something that I was missing ever since I moved away from Los Angeles. I was optimistic despite the reviews, but I def should've went somewhere else. Ordered the 10" Detroit Red Top Pizza with pepperoni and was ready to indulge myself in some good looking pizza upon opening. I was met with disappointment and definitely not even comparable to what I had previously. The top layer of the pizza just fell off after my initial bite which was quite odd as the entire top layer just slid off. In the end I was just eating bread with a removable layer of toasted cheese and pepperoni. (See screenshots) Maybe their other round pizzas are better and will update this review once I tried those. If you're looking for a Detroit style square pizza seek elsewhere. Parking was a bit difficult to find but it's expected around the Duluth town center place has abundant amount of indoor/outdoor seating. First and foremost, I was born in Detroit So when you say you have the choice Style pizza, I'm hypersensitive to what is happening and what you're giving me now! With that being said, on with the review LOL So overall I had a good experience. I called a few times to ask a question they did not answer the phone so that was kind of annoying. But there's a way to order online. Again, if I had a question they were not able to answer it because the phone kept going to voicemail. But it was not the end of the world! When you come in the establishment is actually pretty small. They're like five or so tables to sit at, and then there's a bench outside (right in the front) you can sit it as well. If you want to sit outside, there are some on the side of the building. It's downtown Duluth so there's plenty of places to be and sit anyway! I got a Caesar salad and the pepperoni Detroit style pizza. I thought that the salad was a salad LOL it was nothing major about it. It was not spectacular but it was fresh if nothing else. But the pizza, the pizza came out of the oven hot and fresh and the pizza was good and I enjoyed it! Had the crispy edges, just like I like. Though the pizza got really messy, not just the sauce being saucy, but things started falling off of it. Like some of the sauce with the Tomato they put on there. So it was definitely something to note that you need that paper towel on deck! But that was not stopping the show at all, it still had a pretty good flavor to it and I could go back for that. This place is a pretty well-known popular spot to get good quality pizza in Duluth -- which is why I had high expectations for it. But I'm not too sure if it lived up to the hype. I got the Grandma Pie with added shredded mozzarella and a slice of the Jersey Round. I really wanted to like it because I love NY/NJ style pizza but the slice was too acidic and cold (I got it to-go but I ate it within 5 min). However the Grandma Pie (which they're more famous for) was good! It's not my favorite pizza in the area but if you're a big fan of Grandma-style pizza it's definitely one of the best. The service was great -- everyone was nice. The restaurant is really busy so it's pretty crowded in there but the overall feel reminds me of pizza places up North. read more

The original owners sold out and sold out the community in the process. The place is a sweltering slophouse managed by an apathetic crew of three that will get around to processing your order when they're damn well ready, more interested in talking amongst each other in their native language than doing their job and still charging the old prices for the garbage pizzas and salads they serve. If you dine in or take it to go you'll walk away feeling swindled. At least by getting it to go, you can eat your swill in a more comfortable setting than in their unconditioned sweatshop. No beer or wine, either. Avoid the nightmare of this place and go to Itala Pizza, also in Duluth. read more

I just left this restaurant and ordered 2 slices with Peperoni and Sausage to go. The man took 2 slices that were previously cooked, added Sausage on top and preceded to put them in the oven to cook the Sausage. Needless to say, the pizza was BURNED when they gave it to me. When I asked for refund, I got attitude and was told I would have to WAIT until he called a manager from the back. Let's do better! Ate lunch here today. We enjoyed the cheesy bread. The rice balls weren't very flavorful & I thought the texture inside was almost like thick grits. Just not what I expected. The pizza was good except maybe a tad overcooked on the bottom. But I know that's because of the pan it cooks in. It's not an easy pizza to eat with your hands & they have plastic utensils, so it was tough to cut. I'd recommend they give real knives & forks to customers eating the thick crust pizzas. Oh yeah!!! This pizza joint has gotta be the best in OTP metro Atlanta. If their homemade pizza sauce and amazing fresh toppings doesn't do it for you I don't know what could! The service is hot and cold, sometimes I come and they're super nice other times it has a lot of room for improvement. Overall the food makes it worth it and you're able to call ahead so you don't have to wait outside forever if you're hungry. My favorites on the menu are Classic Margarita Pizza, Grandma Pie, and their meatball hot sandwich. Absolutely delicious!! Why did it take me so long to discover O4W Pizza and how could I ever eat enough Grandma Pies to make up for all that lost TIME and 'ZA!!? I wish it were a little closer but good food is worth any commute. The I Love Pepperoni is my FAVORITE. Maybe because I love pepperoni... The Detroit style pizza is thick and saucy and super cheesy. Am I blasphemous to say it's borderline Chicago deep dish? However, I don't love deep dish and I really enjoy the Detroit style pizza that O4W Pizza dishes up! I recently tried their Grandma Pie pizza for the first time and it was beautiful. However, they seemed to skimp on their toppings, which was annoying. We added on an extra topping of homemade sausage but we couldn't really find much of it on the pizza. Either way, it was still very saucy and flavorful. The outdoor patio needs some tending to... it is a bit dilapidated looking. We had to pry open the gate that was loose off the hinge. However, it made for some convenient socially distanced outdoor dining. I can't wait to come back for more 'za - in particular, more grandma pie! read more

We waited patiently for our food to come out. This is the kind of place where you order your food up front and pay, then choose wherever you want to sit. There weren't many people which I liked. The employees were friendly especially this one guy. Didn't catch his name, though, but he looked like he was the manager. They serve chicken wings now! 6 pc ($8.50) 12 pc ($15.00) But I think it's worth it, because the wings are big! I got the 6 pc lemon pepper flavor. It came out hot and fresh!! I thought I was going to burn my mouth! But luckily, I didn't! By the way, the sausage roll stuffed with green bell peppers and onions came out hot and fresh, too. It tasted so good with the crushed pepper I had sprinkled on top. Sausage Roll ($7.00) Normally, I don't order fountain drinks, but I decided to order a coke with my meal. It tasted so crisp and delicious since I haven't had it in so long! Fountain drinks/Coke Products ($2.50) After eating our meal, the employees including the cook thanked us for stopping by!
