Amazing food and great people. They definitely know their way around the BBQ. I highly recommend Oak & Fire for any event!

This was my first stop of the morning and I was hungry and didn't want to wait too long anywhere else. Therefore, I stumbled upon this cafe which was not crowded. Their menu is diverse, they include dessert, lunch, alcoholic drinks, etc. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage: W/GRILLED POTATOES, MAC & CHEESE, SCRAMBLED EGG & SAUSAGE Very flavorful, unique and the mac & cheese was a new one to me. A high carb burrito to get me going while I continued to explore downtown SB. 5/5 I also ordered an orange juice, really delicious and fresh. 5/5 loved it. I sat facing the beach and it was very relaxing. I enjoyed my breakfast here and overall a nice experience.

He is not a big seafood guy, and when you're by the water, it feels like every restaurant usually specializes in seafood. Happy Cat Eats had a chicken sandwich that looked really appealing to him. After we got our food from the wharf, we drove over and sat at their outdoor tables while we waited for his order. The chicken sandwich was DELICIOUS. I actually liked it a little more than my own food and almost traded with him. Too bad he doesn't like clam chowder! The onion rings he ordered were just as good. The tempura batter was a 10/10. It wasn't oily at all, which is the key to a good tempura fry. We loved the weather, and all the tables had cover, which made it even better. It was a beautiful day made even better by their food.

I happened upon Bossie's accidently after an appointment in this off beat-ish area on Milpas and was wonderfully surprised. They had just opened ( @11:30 am). I truly wanted to get everything! All looked and sounded so mouthwatering good. Settled with the hibiscus rose donut = lick the box don't want it to be over dreamy purrr good. Fresh bread baking scent wafting. Courtyard with umbrellas seating. A full menu of sandwiches and main dishes. Looking forward to all that. And hooked on the donuts and other pastry options. I will eventually, try it all.

The menu was well-rounded, included great staples, along with some fun fusion items. There's a couple gluten free options, but it is NOT a gluten free kitchen. 3. The portions were amazing! My husband was begging me to write this review because he had his favorite fried chicken sandwich here (and he has had a lot). It not only was so delicious, it was huge! We are stoked that Bossies is down the street from our home- we will definitely be coming back and trying the rest of the menu (+ the dessert that sounds amazing)

It feels expensive upfront but with portion sizes, it's a great deal. For a lighter meal, just share a sandwich and soup with a friend, a lover, whoever! The house lemonade and tea are delicious, with the lemonade being perfectly sweet and tart. Soup of the Day was French Onion, which is on the sweeter side, and comes with cheese and a crostini soaking up the broth. Onions are very nicely caramelized. It was tasty but the portion of this soup was a bit large for the intensity of the soup sweetness, almost like syrup after eating it enough. Any other soup - I'd be fine with the portion size. Partner's review of the BLT: "Plenty of bacon and toasted very nice on sourdough, the sourdough with the soup was balanced. I can tell they added a little bit of butter on the sourdough for the extra crunch. Vegetables - they're vegetables, FRESH though." I had The Griller, hot with provolone on a bolillo roll. Packed with flavor from the peppers and olives, plus all the meat protein was the bomb!

The other was a chocolate chip cookie with walnuts. My wife had the same experience, so it wasn't just me. I wouldn't mind that they were rather expensive if they at least tasted good. What is weird is that they looked so good!
