His prices are also lower than going to a dealer. Most recently, I tore the engine splash guard. Honda in San Leandro want to charge me $1200 to replace the entire bottom guard. I found the replacement part on Amazon and took it to Oakland Tire Pro and he replaced the piece for only $50 labor. We need more honest business people like this in Oakland! read more

I can't believe how much they went out of their way to help me out. I had a blowout on the freeway at around 4:45pm; I called to tell them that I would be getting my car towed there even though they were closing at 5pm, hoping to schedule an appointment for the morning. I mentioned my concern that 8am, when they normally open, would be late for my getting to work on time. I found out upon arriving at 7:45 the next morning that they had arrived early to open for me, and they told me that they had stayed late the night before in hopes I got the car towed soon enough! The tire change took about 5 minutes, even with a rim-dent check, and I was on the road by 8 and got to work on time! I feel like they really bent over backward to help me out. Make sure they show you any parts they claim need replacing. They told me I needed my brakes replaced immediately, work I always do myself. They said "you shouldn't even drive it home". I did and checked them, there was still at least a year's worth of life on the pads. This is not the only time they've tried that. Additionally. It's May of 2022 and they're still requiring masks. I have payed $400.00 03/13/20 I pick my car up & a dog has been in my car . There was dog hair on my neck pillow in the back of the driver seat of my car along with dog prints on my seat along with juice stains ; Or someone had sex in the back seat. I bought 6 tires for my motorhome at a Tire Pros in Nevada while on a trip a few months ago and paid $168 extra for the tire protection plan. I called Oakland Tire Pros because there was a shimmy at freeway speeds and asked if they would re-balance the tires for me. They said they would so I drove in from Walnut Creek. When I got there the manager was borderline rude, which was OK, he was busy. The problem was that he said he would only balance the front tires and that the rear tires don't need to be balanced. I asked what happens when I rotate the rear tires to the front but didn't get an answer. I took it to Hayward Tire Pros and they balanced all 6. They agreed that any reputable tire shop will recommend balancing all tires on your vehicle. read more

I have had such excellent service here that I had to write a review. I don't live in this neighborhood, and came originally for a good deal on an oil change. I have since had alignments, oil changes, tire rotations, bought new tires, got new shocks and struts, etc. for my 2004 SUV. It is rare for me, as a woman, to feel that I can trust a mechanic, but I can definitely say that Big G and his crew are first rate, and have never sold me anything my car didn't need.
