Stopped by for some happy hour drinks and food. We came during live horseracing, not intentionally, and it gets pretty loud and wild during the races. Kinda fun to watch people get exciting and cheer for their horse. Chips and Guacamole Guacamole was delicious. It wasn't just mashed avocado; this had tomatoes, onion, and some really nice seasonings in it. Pico de Gallo was fresh, tomato heavy and refreshing. Mix them together and you've got a nice appetizer. The chips seemed like they were fresh fried on site, tasted fresh and were hearty enough to hold up to the guac. Wings The wings were really nice sized and finished over fire leaving a nice char texture and taste. The BBQ sauce seemed bland to me. It needed a little more sweet and a little more spice, I didn't taste much of either. Overall, great chicken but could use a different or more flavorful sauce. Crispy Chicken Tacos The tacos came out looking good, all dressed up in a fresh fried tortilla shell. The chicken itself was kinda dry and didn't taste freshly made. I'm a lifelong carnivore, but pictures of the roasted vegetables and creamy burrata sandwich made me want to try it. Let me tell you the flavors in the sandwich are amazing. Now I read this combo also comes on a pizza? I'll definitely be back. We had the option to sit in the quieter front room or the gaming and bar area where horse racing enthusiasts were having a great time. It was so entertaining watching the horse races and fellow patrons. Now I can't wait for football season!! This place is a lot of fun and seems to attract a lot of nice people. Met up with friends at this new spot and enjoyed ourselves! It wasn't too busy for a Friday night, service was good and the drinks and food were, too. Elevated bar food with a menu including burgers, sandwiches, salads, apps and more. I really enjoyed the smash burger. Sweet potato fries weren't bad and overall good for bar food. I had a nice time and would come back again if in the area looking to watch a game and have some drinks and bites. read more

First visit.. Had the grilled chicken sandwich that was described to be spicy but it was mild. I like the crunch of the bread with the lettuce, chicken was good. Had a cup of their clam chowder soup, which was the star of the meal actually. it seems made in house because theirs had lot of clams and identifiable potatoes. Would order the soup again. It's more of a bar experience than a dining experience. We went for a Saturday lunch and the bar had a few people watching UFC or something. In the table area there were a few uncleared tables and we were told to sit anywhere while the food server would be along shortly. So we waited, and waited, and waited while we watched as occasionally one of the dirty tables would be slowly cleared. Still, eventually a guy (not the actual food server) came by to take our order and the food was prepped reasonably quickly. And he did stop by once to ask how it was. That was the extent of the service so unfortunately I'd never go here again. The food was not bad but overall just way way too slow and uncaring on the service side. read more

This is a decent place to watch a game. Food is alright and drinks were not overly expensive, like many places are these days. There are tons of TVs so you can definitely find a place to sit and watch whatever event/game you want. A few months ago, while eating our dinner, a ceiling panel fell on (including a bucket of water) us and our table. The newly hired waitress sprung into action to help us. We couldn't find a manager to let them know. When we did find him, he seemed irritated at the fact the panel fell on us. Didn't even ask us if we were ok. We saw a great band last night with average food. Huge restaurant space was pretty empty for a Saturday night at 7:30. 19.00 for a burger the size of a McDonald's double cheese. Fries were tasty, burger average. BLTA was good. Coleslaw tasteless. The gentleman that served us was excellent. I did notice that servers weren't really identifiable. A t-shirt with the name of the restaurant or wearing same colors might have helped. We would come back for the music and maybe a beer. Should have noticed almost no other tables had an entree. Not family-friendly, it's a bar for betting on horse racing. This is in no way a place you should bring your kids. As for the food the pizza was good but the mains were drab at best. So go for the bar food that's 1 star for the main and because they advertising as family and are not. read more

My wife and I stopped in for the first time. We had never been to the prior restaurant Tilted Kilt so we didn't know what to expect. The decor was very classy and clean. But what made my wife and I very happy was right after we were seated, our server greeted us and brought waters A simple gesture but sadly it hasn't been happening much in many of the restaurants we visit. Our server introduced herself Jennie (Jenifer). She had an easy smile and great personality. She had answers for all of our questions and checked in often throughout our meal. She was awesome and I hope to have her every time we stop in. I was also surprised to see that they have an area where you can eat and watch and bet on the horse races! Cocktails were outstanding. Cindy, the bartender knows what she is doing We split the Rueben sandwich and tri tip sandwiches and they were delicious. Great job everyone, we will be back. read more

Three stars because of the UFC on the majority of televisions! Who wants to eat while grown men in underwear beat up each other with blood flying around. So gross! Went here a few days ago and was not impressed. The server took forever to bring out the food (it was not busy) and after taking the orders it took 15-20 minutes for her to tell my friend that they didn't have any chili for the tacos. Girlfriend got her order 15 minutes or so before our meals (hot dog) and the burger was underwhelming. They should have started the burger first and then the quesadilla and hotdog. The ambience is kind of weird, a nice bar area with horse racing on the tv's and loud background music. Unfortunately, four of us we went in for dinner last night. We were seated right away and were the only people in the restaurant besides guests at the bar at that time. The gal who seated us also got our drinks and then we sat from 5:05-5:30. We got up and asked the same young woman who brought our drinks if she knew who our server was so we could order. She said she didn't know but she would check. It was alarming because the restaurant was almost empty. She returned five minutes later and said she was the only server, and the girl who was supposed to relieve her never showed up for her shift. She said she would take our order and profusely apologized for the 30ish minute wait, but she looked like she was about to cry and we felt terrible for her. We saw her talking to the manger and he was NOT nice to her. By now a few others had come in and that same man, presumably the manager by the way he was barking at the poor server trying to help us, was waiting on the new guests. We ordered and 20 minutes later she retuned to say two of our four meals were unavailable. 20 minutes later AFTER we ordered!!!! So by now we've been there an hour and our order still isn't in. All the while the manager sat and served other guests coming in, ignoring our table, oddly, even though It was evident that there were issues.... Like no food after an hour and we're all just looking around trying to figure out what was going on. He wouldn't even look at us. So we changed our order to something "in stock" and about 20 minutes later our food came out. The two of us who changed our order to fish and chips because they were out of the pastrami we originally ordered, tried our meal. YUCK! It was soggy and the breading so wheat tasting and thick we could barely chew it. I'd like management to try the fish and chips. I'm not sure if maybe the manger was just having a terrible night, because he was SO unfriendly to guests and seemed generally VERY irritated that he was having to help out. Never a smile. Nothing. Just militant and intimidating to the woman who worked there. That part is just SO disheartening. I hope the young server finds a better place to work. She deserves better than to be treated the way he did, and right in front of guests. Luckily sometime after 6 additional servers arrived. We won't be back and I hope management provides some training to their "management" because it was a shameful, uncomfortable mess. read more

Stopped by Oaks Local Craft Kitchen and Bar today for lunch on a total whim, and let me tell you, turned into the best decision ever! Not only is the vibe in the restaurant very cool and comfy. With various areas to chill and watch the game we really enjoyed ourselves! I ordered the tri tip tacos, and when I say they were life-changing, I mean I had a full-on existential crisis halfway through the first bite. I questioned everything: Why am I here? Is this love? Can tacos actually make me cry? Spoiler alert: Yes, they can. These tacos were so good, I briefly considered framing the last one instead of eating it. But who am I kidding? I devoured it. My husband got the double burger, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. The man has been talking about it non-stop since we left. He actually whispered "I miss it" on the drive home. It was that good. I swear I saw him tearing up when the last bite disappeared. LOL It's rare to find a restaurant that nails both of our meals at the same time AND makes you feel like you've unlocked a new level of happiness. Oaks Local Craft Kitchen is that place. First visit. Family friendly, lots of screens, great selection of games on, super friendly staff. As much as I would like to go back, I likely won't because of the food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. Our party of 7 had many different selections and all of them were meh. I ordered take out and I tried to be super thorough when ordering over the phone so that they would get it correct. When my husband picked it up and brought it home it was missing the fries that came with my burger and the coleslaw I paid extra for. I did call and spoke to the manager who was very nice and he invited me in next time for a few appetizer on him but I'm not sure I'll go. The burgers we ordered said they were smashes which is our favorite and a very specific way of cooking and there was nothing smashed about them. Maybe getting non burgers are better but I'm not sure I'll go again just for a comped appetizer. I truly wish I could have just had my fries with my burger. read more
