    Turkey sandwich

Beautiful property and place to hangout and bring kids. They have a good selection of wine, beer, deli items, gifts and such. We got 2 turkey sandwiches and totalled over 50 dollars with tax and tip. The sandwiches were bland and a bit uninspired. I'd probably go back because they have different options to try and my sample size for this review is small.

Came here before BottleRock, well worth the stop. Had some pizza and drinks, and wow was the pizza amazing! Service was top tier. Weather was perfect and a great ambiance. Highly recommend to stop by here.

Wow what a hidden gem. We randomly stopped in here on our way to St. Helena and got one of the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had. I got the sausage one and I asked if they could do it on their bagel because it looked incredible from the case. If they don't offer the sauce when you pick up your sandwich, 100% ask for it. I'm coming back!

Highly recommended! A absolute must visit if your in Napa Valley. A historic place that still sells high quality wine and food. On one side you have the wine shop/ merchant that seems to carry every big wine name in the area. I mean, if your looking for a particular rare bottle I'm sure they would have it. It has a sophisticated feel inside from the customer service and overall feel. As you move to the other side you will be greeted to a sandwhich and bakery shop. Various things can be purchased from local cheeses to drinks. Etc. I mean what a fun place to visit and even sit down in the front and soak up the views. Highly recommended!

Don't know the history of this place but while on the Napa wine train the day before, the waiter had mentioned this Oakville grocery so we decided to stop by while driving on highway 12 and passing various wineries. The grocery entrance faces the highway and it is there where you would order food, get snacks and other nick nacks. Decided to get the pepperoni pizza and broccoli salad. They give you a pager and you can pick it up outside where the tables and chairs are at. The pizza is cooked outside on a wood fire grill. We enjoyed the pizza ... lots of pepperonis, mozzarella and a light tomato sauce. Wife liked her broccoli salad. My only gripe is there are hella flies both inside the grocery store (one kept on being near me while waiting to order). When we were sitting outside and eating our pizza. I had to keep a watch on making sure the flies didn't land on our food! Considering there were so many both inside and outside, they should have invested in a few electric fly buzz machines to decrease their population. For this I can only give 4 stars since flies is a pet peeve of mine .

This was such a fun spot! We needed a quick sandwich between tastings so we stopped here. It was hard to pick as they had a ton of really great options, but I ended getting the chicken salad, which was chock full of chicken and really creamy from the sauce. The bread came on was perfectly chewy on the outside and soft in the middle. They had some truffle chips that we shared, which was a fun addition and different than the typical potato chip you see with sandwiches. The grocery selection was extensive and they had a good mix of meats and cheeses. If we were going to have a picnic, this would be the exact place I would go. They even had a bunch of homemade cheese spreads and packaged foods perfect for grab and go. Their wine selection seemed really great and even had a rosé from a vineyard were were hoping to get it, but they were out of stock at the actual winery so it felt like we hit the jackpot when we saw it there. You could also buy tastings and they had self-serve tasting spots all around their property. We loved this place so much we went back for breakfast a few days later for breakfast! We will definitely be adding this as a regular stop when we visit next.

Love how close Napa is ....The most perfect day in wine country! Started with a stop at Oakville grocery for some "base" fuel. It was busy but the grab and go sandwiches at the front are killer. Ham and cheese on focaccia. We paired that with some sheep milk cheese and crackers. Nothing better than sitting in their patio sipping a Coke or a glass of wine. Love Napa!

Cute little store to find everything you love about wine and cheese!! Plus a bakery and a ton of other stuff. Grab some food, wine, coffee and enjoy it on the property.

So many things to look at and buy ? Lol

While in Napa Valley we stopped by to check this grocery out, it's a specialty food store that carries variety of cheese, crackers, jams, oils, jams, wine and more and more items. Gift items such as cheese boards, aprons, bags etc are also available. The smell of freshly baked cookies were killing me so I had to buy one right away and started my shopping. I purchased a jam, olive oil, towels, olives and a small wooden board. It's a lovely place to shop while in the area. They also have a coffee bar and a wine tasting area. Lovely .... Customer service was ok, could have been friendlier. Check it out if you are nearby.

I see you Oakville Grocery. You were waiting for the zombies to wake up, hung over or the midday drunk warriors working to obtain their second wind. This spot is a gourmet grocer and deli and they have every single snack you could ever think of. They also have a full deli counter and many items to order to go. We ordered some deviled eggs and some pizza and a little bit of pasta. We all had pretty good buzzes going as you can see. It's definitely bustling and packed in there and people are kind of pushing their way through all the snacks. What a survival vibe.

When in the area, this is a "must stop" landmark destination. Inside is a flurry of activity with lots of customers shopping for deli items, sandwiches, coffee, and draft beer. Needless to say, this place has an extensive wine selection, including a wine vault and a tasting cave. Inside the tasting cave is a row of enotecs with 20 wines available to sample. There's also many products made in the local area, a coffee bar, fresh made cookies, t-shirts and many other things. They do have lots of outdoor seating where you can enjoy your glass of wine or beer along with your fresh made deli item. If you want to sample even more wine, the Oakville Wine Merchant next-door has even more Enotecs. There's much more to see and do here than I can possibly put down so check out the photos. Parking can be a problem on a busy day since there's only around 50 spots available (you would think that would be enough). You can also park a little bit further away on Oakville Cross Road.

Place to go for a quick snack on your way to winetasting. Place to go to pick up food to go for dinner after your wine tasting. What used to be the old town post office and General station is now Oakville grocery. Oakville grocery carries gourmet food, unsung, wines, wines you have heard of and lots of great souvenirs. A definite go to if you're in the area for whatever the reason is

Oakville Grocery & Wine Merchant - Napa's Hidden Gem Thanks to Jamie at PlumpJack for recommending this incredible little spot! Oakville Grocery is a perfect blend of charm and gourmet simplicity -- cheeses, crackers, charcuterie, and everything you need for a perfect Napa-style picnic. You can grab your goodies and sit right outside at one of their picnic tables. So laid-back, so perfect. Right next door is the Oakville Wine Merchant, and wow -- what a surprise! It's a sleek, self-pour wine experience where you use a charge card to explore incredible wines, including rare and collectible labels. It's fun, elegant, and offers pours you might never otherwise get to taste (yes, even Screaming Eagle and Harlan Estate were on the list!). Whether you're a wine novice or enthusiast, this place is such a cool concept -- accessible and elevated at the same time.

I can't believe I haven't shared a review of this spot yet! Friendly staff and just a very well oiled-machine. The Vietnamese Chicken Salad is something to write home about. Served with a Peanut Lime Vinaigrette, the salad has a variety of lettuces, mung beans sprouts, peanuts, crispy fried chicken breast, green onions, pickled red Fresno chiles, and I'm sure I'm missing a few ingredients :) it's so delicious and worthy of its own review. The burgers and onion rings with ranch sauce, always superb. Honestly, never had a bad meal here. There's plenty of other fun sides like chili cheese fries and fried Brussels, and other menu items including tacos, hot dogs, soups, and a kiddo menu. Don't skip out on a shake, NA bevvie, or beer/wine options. On a beautiful future sunny day, a perfect stop when in the area pre/post wine tasting.

What I got for $14 was two slices of very dry bread, a stack of thin turkey slices, two curled pieces of mild cheddar cheese (on a turkey sandwich?), a single limp leaf of lettuce and a packet of yellow mustard (Heinz) and mayo. No tomato, no seasoning, no balance of flavors. Just dry bread, turkey, and cheese that doesn't even belong on this type of sandwich. The wrap didn't list ingredients and the deli counter was closed, so there was no way to ask questions or customize anything. I ended up stuck with a premade option that felt like something from a hospital cafeteria rather than a market in the Napa Valley. The bread could have saved it, but even that was just a bland sweet roll with no texture or character. For $13+ they could at least use a decent bread from one of the many local bakeries. As a local, it's disappointing because visitors assume places in Yountville will reflect the food reputation of the area. Unfortunately this didn't come close. I've seen similar feedback in other reviews for the deli, and after this experience I understand why. The sad part is those reviews date back for years and they have obviously fallen on deaf ears. Vote with your dollars folks. If you're heading up valley and want a good sandwich, you're honestly better off stopping at Genova in Napa on the way or continuing just a few minutes up the road to Oakville Grocery. If you only need a quick bottle of wine this is a place for you. I rarely say this, but this was a "never again" for me.
