This gem has been greatly needed in an area with a growing demographic of babies and new parents. I've taken my son to the following classes: Babies in motion, Gym babies, and Musical Tots. We also go to open play about twice a week. What's great is that you get a large number of open plays when you sign up for a class. You sign up for a weekly class (or two different ones if you'd like), and they're very accommodating with makeups if your baby happens to nap at your schedule time, so it's money well spent. They have all kinds of props and gym structures, as well as trampolines and musical instruments. Having rambunctious babies and toddlers cooped up in the apartment during this cold weather isn't great-so this place is definitely meeting a need. Mike and Chanelle who do musical tots are truly exceptional- high energy and extremely talented musician and singers. We have Kristen for our regular gym class and she's great, my son really likes her. Truth be told not all staff are top notch but none are bad. The differences are more pronounced when going to open play depending on who the assigned staff member is- some will take out different toys and props, some won't or barely will. The main reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that they've been taking a long time to cover up the metal spokes that stick out of the bars-not safe for little ones and this issue has been brought up to them several times since they opened in Sept. Other than that, we're very happy campers. Oh and if you have a child who's 2.5 yrs or above, take advantage of their pajama parties! I wish we could.

As an OPWDD family, coordinating approvals, support brokerage, and Fiscal Intermediary (FI) requirements can already be extremely time-consuming, and navigating those systems often causes significant delays that are outside a family's control. I was hoping for greater flexibility and collaboration during the enrollment process, but instead felt that the process became increasingly difficult and ultimately decided not to move forward. I appreciate the importance of ensuring campers are a good fit, but I believe families navigating complex disability-service systems would benefit from more understanding, clear communication, and flexibility throughout the admissions process.

My daughter went to Happy Days Summer Camp 2 years ago when we were in Queens visiting family for…read morethe summer. She went for 4 weeks and absolutely loved it! We headed to Massachusetts and she sulked the whole way. She wanted to go the camp for the rest of the summer. I thought the price was reasonable. I don't know if the prices went up but if they went up a little still well worth it. They took them to a nice pool club every day and then a different activity. I liked that they went to the park but my daughter loved going to the movies and bowling. One day it rained and they did an ice cream party (her favorite of course)at their headquartered locations which from the pictures I saw in the brochure looked good. Most important thing though was that it was organized and safe. They had a nurse and EMT on duty and the counselor to camper was like 3 to 1. The bus showed up on time every day and their was at least one counselor on the bus both ways. We are headed back to Queens this summer for at least 3 weeks and plan on enrolling my daughter if they do 3 weeks. Hell if it's reasonable enough I would pay for the 4 weeks. All in all a great experience.

The cool thing was that even though he wasn't really into sports he loved going to the movies and some of the other non-sports related activities. Their counselors were really very sweet and the senior staff keeps a good eye out. One of the things that impressed me was the food. I had heard they served school lunch food at some of the camps. But at this one the food was catered from a Kosher deli. I really liked that. I'm not Jewish but I Like the idea that the food was good quality. We are not sure what we are doing this summer but even if we go on vacation for a couple of weeks during the summer I was told we could go the first few weeks, reserve the last 3 weeks and not lose our spot. The education classes were perfect---having the campers practice their academic skills without realizing they are preparing for school in September. I spoke with Ms Karen, Ms Carmen, and Ms Jennifer throughout my 8 weeks and all 3 people were helpful. They answered all my questions, gave me updates when I asked, and even offered advice for the new school year. My kids loved their teachers because they came home every day to talk about everything they had done. My son loved playing sports and my daughter loved her counselor/group. I am definitely registering them again for next summer. 5 stars, 10+, 2 thumbs up!!
