They were on time, stayed on schedule, very polite and professional, and most important, stayed on budget with zero overages. This was no small task, it required a crane to remove the old unit and then raise the new unit and set in place with a customer curb adapter. My AC wasn't working this season so I called in the late afternoon after reading the great reviews on Yelp. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day, however my association told me I had to reschedule an hour before the appointment because they were doing work on the roof. I called and the receptionist was super friendly about rescheduling, even though I was canceling so last minute. She was very accommodation and understanding and we rescheduled two days later, a day the association approved. Mike came to do the repair. He was extremely friendly and knowledgable. He gave me all the information I needed to make a decision on how to proceed. I decided to do the repair, even though the unit will need to be replaced within a year or two due to a few issues. He gave me a discount because I was a first time customer and quoted me for a replacement and said the price would be valid next season as well. He also told me to call back if I have any problems with the air this season and he will come back, free of charge. We are very pleased with Oasis Heating and Cooling and their products and service. Two years ago they installed a new heating and cooling system, and the work had to be coordinated with a landscaping/hardscaping project. It was very successful and we can see the result in our heating and cooling bills and in better heating and cooling performance. Oasis sells high quality systems and install them properly, so there was no problem. This year Mike (mentioned in other reviews) came out and gave me advice on service frequency (much less than I had thought) and the importance of changing air filters and hosing off the AC unit. As always, he was friendly, professional, and helpful. If every business we deal with were as efficient and customer-oriented as Oasis, it would be wonderful. As a prospective commercial tenant I needed an HVAC system inspection to help me negotiate lease terms, and I needed it the morning following my phone call. Mike accommodated my, and the landlord's broker's schedules, and arrived promptly at the promised time. He was professional, courteous, and thorough, explaining the issues he discovered with the system, potential safety concerns, associated costs, and expected consequences of decisions a tenant might make regarding heating and cooling needs at the storefront. His phone quote was what the company charged, which was about $40 less than a quote from another company. The person answering the phone took down my info and promised to call back within 15 minutes, which they did and said a technician would be over within 30 minutes, which he was. By the way, I called at 11:29am on a Saturday. While I was waiting, I was thinking, "How can one place have so many 5-star reviews? Did they write all of these themselves?" I recently bought a new thermostat that required a C-wire because it was a smart wifi thermostat and needed a lot more power than my old one. I called Oasis and they sent out Josh the very next day for a free estimate. It was their standard $135 to fish a new set of wires from the furnace to the thermostat wall. The distance isn't that far, but Josh was done in about 20 minutes and set up the thermostat and then even explained how to work it. He also wiped down our furnace and cleaned it up since it was pretty dusty. It looks really good now! 5/5 would highly recommend, great customer service too. read more

Our AC unit had water pouring out of it which turned out to be a clogged drain. This had happened twice before. This time our regular AC company couldn't come out for five days so asked around and received a recommendation from a friend I trust. Oasis was able to come out in three days which was sooner then our normal company so went with them. Way too hot not to have AC. Wish it could have been sooner, yet I know there must have been a lot of calls. Dan was very professional and knowledgeable and explained why we were having this issue. He fixed the drain line which was part of the issue, something the original company never did. He also answered all of our questions and things I had questioned with the first company. He even had a suggestion about putting in a sensor to warn when the drain pan is filling up. So hopefully by putting in the sensor this will prevent water pouring out to the bottom of the unit. Since it is adjacent to our entry way it could have easily flooded if I hadn't heard the water. Just bought a condo and needed an ASAP HVAC check before I closed. Best part: I needed that on the first 90-degree day of the year, when THOUSANDS of people across the city were calling AC repairmen to...repair their ACs. So, I turned to Yelp. Oasis had amazing reviews, so I called them first. And, low and behold, they were able to squeeze me in the next day. Woot! I wasn't excited to spend another $135 when I'd been forking out money left and right, but what can ya do? It ended up being a great investment. Thankfully, my HVAC is working just fine, but the technician (forgive me, I can't remember his name now) was so patient with me and spent 30 minutes walking me through the ins and outs of the unit, teaching me everything I needed to know to keep that bad boy humming smoothly. This is my first home I've owned, so that information is invaluable. I never felt they were bs-ing me, or trying to get me to pay for things I didn't need. They are beyond honest and helpful, and they have awesome customer service. And when you're a single woman living in a new house (and you know that it's CRYSTAL clear that you have no idea what you're doing), finding someone you can trust is not easy. PROS - Scheduling for a quote and installation was easy. Communication was effortless - They provided the best quote of the three I received (the next lowest was $100 higher) - They did not try to sell me too hard. One company (begins with an S) tried to oversell me and they lost the chance of working with me when the sales rep called me to see where I was at with my decision (know your customer: I don't want calls) - Installation took less than the amount of time they quoted - They sent guys over (including Mike, the owner) three times when I needed adjustments. Dmitri came on a Sunday, no charge, within two hours of my initial call - They changed out the Nest that came with the install, for a more standard thermostat, no charge Excellent service. CONS - This is not a con against the company: I didn't like the NEST thermostat. The phone programmability is convenient, and it looks nice, but it turns on/off based on large temperature ranges, as if it knows best and is always questioning you. Overly complicated. I just want a thermostat to heat/cool when I ask, at the temperature I ask. Oasis switched it to a plain old Honeywell. So, you might want to question whether or not you want them to automatically install a NEST - The dual-speed furnace is louder than my previous furnace, most noticeably when I run the AC (hence the three visits above). If you are noise-sensitive you might want to ask about this. read more

Had Oasis come out and install 2 nest thermostats this morning. My developer had originally informed me that the Nests "wouldn't work with our existing system". Turns out they (the developers on my property) were full of it. My installer came up with a simple solution, took down my old thermostats, and installed both of my nests with the installed wall bracket. He was also very good about walking me through what he was doing and what the process would entail. They were also cheaper than most of the other companies I had contacted in the area. I called Oasis in the fall when my furnace wasn't heating the house and was making a fairly loud whistling noise. Even though it was the first cold spell of the fall and peak season for "no heat" calls, they scheduled a time to come out the next day. Joshua showed up on time, was polite, took his shoes off, and got to work. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained it to me thoroughly, and asked permission to replace a pressure valve and the inducer motor. He also explained that I didn't have to replace the motor now if i wasn't bothered by the whistling sound. I elected to have it replaced while he was out there, but I appreciated that he explained the options. While he was there doing the work, his boss called to get a report, and basically served as a kind of "second opinion" as he listened to Joshua describe the problem and his proposed solution and validated it. I thought that was the sign of a pretty well managed company. Joshua made the repair quickly and cleanly, cleaned up behind himself, and gave me what I thought was a pretty fair price. He was courteous and professional throughout. it's January now, and the unit has been running trouble-free all season. No complaints - good as it gets. read more

I am VERY Thankful for the treatment my daughter received from Oasis. I live in Austin and she is in Chicago with no experience of repairs. Her landlord sent a 'Mr. fixit guy' and he didn't repair the furnace. It was 35 degrees inside her apartment for 2 days! It was 10 degrees outside. She called Oasis, by luck, and a nice repairman showed up quickly, diagnosed the problem immediately, even showed her what was being done and go the heat turned on. I researched many heating and cooling companies, before deciding on calling Oasis. All the positive reviews were accurate. My experience was stellar from beginning to end. Setting the Appt for a furnace service was easy and smooth. They even gave me a reminder call the day before the Appt. The tech assigned, Hani,was very nice, friendly, personable and capable. He got to work quickly and did an excellent job, as our furnace was very dirty and we had been using the wrong sized filters since we bought the house. He never made me feel bad about that, he was just super nice and informative. He also took the time to show me how the April Air humidifier system works and how to set it based on the outside temperatures. He tested and checked everything after he cleaned it. At the last minute I asked about the install of our Nest thermostat and he said he could do it right now. I was so thrilled as I was certain I would have to have them come back to do the install. Installed a thermostat not compatible with my HVAC system which then completely fried the mother board. After spending almost $500 with Oasis, it cost another $1500 to fix all the damage they caused. I had to update this review based on a new experience and also from some new information I found out after the first appointment. Quick Summary: Had them out twice, and although I really wanted to like these guys based on multiple 5 star Yelp reviews; in the end, I had an overall "meh" experience. Therefore, I cannot personally recommend them. The FIRST APPOINTMENT in June was to service our upstairs furnace and check for a gas leak. We smelled gas around the furnace room. Tech was friendly, said there was no leak he could detect, but did inspect the furnace and adjusted the furnace speed to a more optimal setting. I was originally ecstatic about the service, but later found out two issues. ISSUES: 1) Made a comment to my wife, that we have a nice house, but that the neighborhood was bad and was just saying this since we have a new baby and he was looking out for us. First off, this is a totally subjective opinion. Second; that is something that he should have kept to himself, regardless of how good of a rapport he had with her. 2) Continued to smell gas after the appointment, and Peoples Gas came out in mid July and diagnosed a small leak in the gas line coming to the furnace in the furnace room. To his defense, the People's Gas guy said it would have been hard for the furnace guy to detect unless he had the right equipment and it was not coming from the furnace itself. But come on...I specifically called Oasis to have possible furnace gas leak checked...you would think they would be prepared to diagnose this regardless if it is directly on the furnace or the pipe going to the furnace which is less than 3 feet away. The SECOND APPOINTMENT in November was to take a look at the furnace again, because it was making an annoying fan sound. It took over two days to get the appointment set, because they didn't answer the voicemail I left (because they almost never answer the phone for appointment schedule and prefer you leave voicemail) nor did they answer the online appointment request. I had to call and leave a frustrated voicemail for them to finally call back and apologize. Anyway, appointment two was set. For the 2nd appointment, the tech was there for exactly 8 minutes (I know because my wife texted me when he arrived and left). He diagnosed a bad blower motor. Suspicious this wasn't discovered during the first visit by the tech...but whatever. He recommended we replace the entire furnace unit due to age and cost of repair and said he would get a quote out to us ASAP. 3 days later, no response...so once again had to call and ask for status. Spoke to someone with a first name starting with a "J" and he sounded unapologetic when I made a point that I paid over $130 for an 8 minute diagnosis and still had to wait 3 days with no update on the quote. Anyway, finally got the quote the next day, but by that point I was done with Oasis. I was referred to a local smaller shop that seemed to be more hungry and appreciative of the business. Replaced the furnace and also installed a humidifier last month. PROS: Good appointment availability with hours and quick turnaround (once you can track them down on the phone), tech forward (automated email confirmations, reminders, and digital invoicing), nice-enough customer service reps, well maintained vehicles and equipment, competitively priced. CONS: Slow follow-up and mostly not available when calling, expensive for basic service call with no follow-up service, technicians were not the most professional. read more

My 15-year-old furnace blower motor had been making noises for quite awhile, and I finally decided to do something about it. Oasis got back to me quickly with an appointment time, and Rene, my technician, was really great to work with. He visited twice -- once to assess the problem and once to install the new part.
