Oasis has handled my HVAC maintenance since I bought my house four years ago. At the time, I had three contractors come out to assess the system and provide a maintenance plan. Mike immediately impressed me as honest and no-nonsense. That gut feeling was realized as I have trusted them all these years and they come through every time. The time came for me to replace my systems and Oasis again came through. Mike helped me select the right equipment for my needs and went out of his way to make sure I got everything I wanted. This was a huge job: total replacement of furnace, A/C, humidifier, water heater. I also had them install a 4" HEPA filter tray, Respicare air purifier, and zone the furnace, including adding thermostats on my first and third floors. Hani, Vildan, Armin, and Damir spent 11 hours doing the installation. They were extremely thorough, professional, and really fun to have in my house for all that time; they are great guys. It's a testament to the the way Mike runs his company that his crews are so respectful. They went above and beyond in installing the new thermostats to make sure there wasn't a lot of drywall damage, and I appreciate not having the additional cost of drywall repair. I called Oasis to diagnose my leaking central AC system after another company came out and quoted a massive amount for replacing the whole system. The other company said the condensate drip pan was cracked and replacing the whole system for thousands of dollars was the only solution. Hani and another Oasis rep arrived right when they said they would, opened the unit up and saw there were no cracks in the condensate pan at all. The real issue was the coils were not getting enough air flow because the air filter I was using was too thick, a problem easily corrected by putting a different filter in. This made perfect sense as I noticed the problem after I last changed the filter. They then proceeded to do an overall system health check and indicated everything was functioning properly, a simple filter change will prevent the condensation and stop the leaking. I can't recommend Oasis enough, simply having them out saved me thousands in unnecessary repair costs. They were also extremely professional and friendly. Don't waste your time elsewhere read more

Awesome experience. Our A/C was on its last legs and stopped working right at the peak of a very hot 90 degree week. Naem from Oasis came on short notice on a Sunday. He quickly determined we needed a new AC, didn't try to upsell us anything else at all, and even arranged for our old system to be recharged for free until we could get the new system up and running. The additional crews that came out to both recharge our old system and install the new were very professional, on time and effective. My furnace died unexpectedly, and Oasis was one of the companies I called for a consultation/quote on a new furnace. Oasis was actually the first place to give me a call back - on a Saturday! - to set up an appointment. I met a few days later with Hani. He was great chatting with me about my options, his recommendations, and answering all of my questions (both at the meeting and any follow-up questions I had). Overall, great customer service. I really appreciated that Oasis had experience installing American Standard furnaces, which is the brand I was hoping to go with. Unfortunately, based on finances I wasn't able to move forward with Oasis, but I definitely plan to keep the company in mind for future seasonal checks or repairs (when I have more time to plan for them!). read more

This is the 2nd time I have used Oasis for my HVAC maintenance. For this review I'm covering service for repairing an AC unit that wasn't producing cold air. The service took 2 visits because it's not possible to add freon into a system when the temperature is too cold. Fair enough. For the first visit, the technician came on time and diagnosed the problem within minutes. He stated he needed to return when outdoor temperature was higher. We schedule a followup appointment on the spot. For the 2nd visit, the office called me right before the schedule appointment to tell me the technician was running late. I'm glad they kept me informed, but overall the technician was 45 minutes late. Not too bad, and this is why I didn't give 5-stars. When the technician did arrive, he was tidy with his work, friendly, and gave me a discount on the service for being late. All very nice and reasonable. I would definitely recommend them and will be them in the future. They rates are good and I feel they keep me informed if they are running late. read more

Had an amazing experience with Danny/Oasis this morning. I woke up to a nightmare situation in which my furnace shut off, and I have a 7 week old baby. Danny was here within 20 minutes: he completely recognized the urgency of the situation, was totally respectful and kind and he had our heat working in about another 15. They were great. They came to repair a heating problem I had at my condo that I rent out on the north side of Chicago. My tenant informed me that they were on time, polite and nice, repaired the heater and when asked for the repair amount, they informed her that they would deal directly with the owner. I just had Anise from Oasis out to look at my Air Conditioner which had been broken for over 2 weeks. I'd originally had another company (choice temp heating and cooling: http://www.yelp.com/biz/choice-temp-heating-and-cooling-chicago AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS) come out and look at my unit a week and a half ago. They told me I needed to have my coil removed and cleaned and that my unit was obviously clogged. Being naive, I believed what they said, paid them their $100 service fee and made plans for them to call and schedule an appointment later that day to complete the service. Man am I glad they completely stopped responding at that point and were impossible to get ahold of. Anise was able to come within 2 days of booking the appointment (other companies were quoting me 2 weeks) and he immediately invalidated the claims made by Choice Temp. My coil was in perfect condition. It took him all of 10 minutes to figure out all I needed was more Freon and he had my unit back up and running perfectly in under 25 minutes. He also did it for a 3rd of the price I'd been quoted elsewhere. Oasis' customer support was a walk in the park compared to some of the other companies I called, and Anise was one of the friendliest technicians I have ever worked with. This company is great! Our furnace stopped working and we don't have an HVAC guy so we looked on yelp for one with great reviews. So happy we found Oasis! Josh was awesome. He walked me through everything he did and gave explanations that I could actually understand. I also appreciated how much he cares about his job and safety. Josh ended up having to come here 3 times since we have a furnace where parts were not readily available and the previous owner liked to mess around a lot with everything in the house, making it difficult to find the problem. Josh fixed everything and we are loving having heat! Oasis is also so reasonable. Even with all the trips to our house, we were charged only for the part that was needed for our furnace. Short story: Highly recommended. Great experience overall. Fast, honest and reliable service. Long story: My furnace went out overnight, It hadn't been that cold so I didn't really notice until the morning. I opened up the furnace and after figuring out the trouble code from the control board I knew what was wrong. I made a small attempt to repair, but since it could be a blocked condensation or exhaust pipe, I didn't want to risk doing something wrong and killing my whole family. After a few minutes of pointless troubleshooting, I called a pro. I called three companies, the first wouldn't do anything without a credit card number, the second said they could come next tuesday, finally Oasis says they'll be there by 1:00pm. I head to work and get a call around 10:30am that he wrapped up a job early and if we were available he could be there within 30 minutes. Otherwise he will come at our appointment time at 1:00pm. I bolt home and he gets to work. Now, I already know what the trouble code is, so I'm ready if he says we need a new control board or motor I know that's not true. We either need a new pressure gauge, condensate pump, or something is blocked. First thing out of his mouth is: "Oh good. I know what this is, your condensate drain is blocked" He unclamps the drain line, clears it, puts it back together and fires it up. He waits for 15 minutes to let it cycle off and on, then takes off. The only charge was their $135 service call fee, which is a bargain. read more

I've depended on this company for years. They come out and check our system twice a year. The service people are always very nice. Recently our furnace stopped working and they had a man out as soon as possible - no furnace = very cold! The man worked hard to check everything from the most simple explanation to the most complex and even went out of his way to get a new gas valve. After making sure everthing was working properly, he determined it was a gas company issue. Then, even though he had been working for over three hours, they only charged me $90 because they hadn't been able to fix it. (The gas company is going to reimburse me the $90). I called Oasis and a couple of other places on the morning of the coldest day of the year as my tenant's furnace stopped working. I was concerned that they may not be able to come out right away and that it would cost me an arm and a leg. Oasis was the first company to call me back, they confirmed if this was an emergency and said they could have a technician out at 2 PM. Great! I was happy - they could come out same day! They called a little later and said they had a cancellation - can they come out at 10 AM? Yes, yes and yes! The technician came out, assessed the issue, fixed the furnace and provided us with some maintenance recommendations. I was at work, so they billed me and the sticker price was a shock. $135!!! Same day, excellent and quick work, wonderful customer service, and I was able to pay online. I called, left a message and they responded right away and very professionally. Hani came out the next afternoon, even calling to say he was running ahead of schedule and asking if he could arrive earlier than our appointment time, which was fine with us. Our air conditioner wasn't working well and the fan had been making strange noises. Thankfully, we didn't need to replace the whole unit or even the fan, just one small part. It was a quick fix. Hani then inspected the furnace filter, answering a question my husband had about a small leak he'd noticed. Just condensation, no big deal. He then offered up some advice on maintaining our aging system to keep it going as long as possible. Overall, very responsive and professional. They could have "had" us for a lot of unnecessary repair work, but instead were completely honest with us. We will definitely be using Oasis again. read more

Hani, a nice, polite young man, came out to service my 34-year-old (1983) furnace yesterday and did a great job. I've been leery of HVAC people since the Deljo guy took one look at it and declared it to be SO OLD that I REALLY needed to replace it. When I called Oasis to make the appointment, I was very clear that it was an old furnace and I wanted someone who knows how to service one that old. Hani said that this is a great furnace, in great condition, and that they don't make them this way anymore. He explained that Oasis is the only HVAC company that pays a salary and NO commission. Of course, the Deljo guy was incentivized to say that my furnace was so old that replacement was my only option. We've been using Oasis to service our home heating and cooling systems since we purchased our home in 2014. The folks from Oasis are extremely responsive whenever we have an issue. For example, this week we had an issue where the furnace in our upstairs apartment in our 2-flat was not heating properly. I called the answering service at 7:30 a.m. and received a call back from Oasis a few minutes after 8 a.m. They were on site by 10:30 a.m. and fixed our issue (which was a minor part of the furnace that needed cleaning) within about 15 minutes. I asked the technician to check the furnace in our main duplex unit while he was there and he made sure that unit was also working properly. I highly recommend Oasis to anyone that is looking for a company to service their HVAC units. read more

Oasis is your one stop shop for all your heating and cooling needs! As a female and young consumer, I don't know what the going rate for fixing an air conditioner is or when I should change my filters. I don't know anything about heating and cooling so when I'm shopping for quotes, I never know if a business is overcharging me because I am a female and because I don't know any better. My dad passed away a couple of years ago and my brother knows even less than me in terms of heating and cooling so I'm always afraid that I'm getting the shorter end of the stick. Due to previous bad experience, I can't always trust that a business is being "fair". That was certainly not the case with Mike or his team. I called Mikes office and spoke to Medina about my concerns. She listened to my needs and stated that she couldn't give me a rough estimate but that she could set up a time for someone to come out. She was calm, understanding and knowledgeable. She told me that as a female and a customer herself, she felt that there is no one out there who is more considerate, professional or reasonably priced than Mike. She sure wasn't wrong. Mike and Vildan came out the following day. Once again, the owner himself came out and assessed the cost. Not a worker, not a third party employee but the actual owner. Mike is extremely kind and funny, he assessed the AC and he quoted me very reasonably to replace my AC and install it. He explained to me why it was in my best interest to get a new AC instead of repairing the part that was damaged. He even suggested I shop around If I wasn't comfortable with the market but that he guaranteed that no one was as efficient or reasonably priced as he was. I thanked him for his advice and we scheduled a time for a member of his team to come back and set it my new AC. Since I was getting a bigger air conditioner for my unit, his team really worked themselves up carrying my new AC up four flights of stairs (and they didn't complain once). They removed the old frame in which my AC was on and installed a new one. They were quick, it took them less than two hours to make it all happen. I thanked them for their services and the following day I went into the office to pay for the services rendered with Medina. It was quick, easy and efficient. When it is a larger project they are working on, they do ask for a deposit but I do not know the cutoff for how much a deposit has to be put down. I wish all business owners were this professional and fair. To all my female consumers who don't have a plug for their heating and cooling needs, Oasis is your one stop shop! Truly happy that I can say this is a company I can trust with anything and the experience was certainly worth the money! read more
