Dinner was fabulous- an open air concept restaurant right on the beach. Very cozy feel, beautiful island decor. The food was all excellent, elevated flavors and complimentary pairings. Their mai tais really are the best I've ever had, including their homemade almond/macadamia nut milk and three types of rum. A great setting right on the beach but not a place to go if you're really hungry. My wife and I spent $110 and left hungry. That's makes it extremely over priced. A single lamb ravioli is $15- absurd.. However, our cocktails were great. Oasis is an obvious choice, if youre staying at the hotel, to have some cocktails, gaze at the gorgeous ocean views, and have an appetizer before your dinner destination. But im not sure id go out of my way to visit otherwise. read more

The best on the island! We stayed at the adjacent Waipouli Resort and heard that there was a restaurant on site. Thinking it was a snack bar with fried food and beer, we were VERY happy to find that not only do they have incredible drinks, their food was amazing as well! Friendly staff that takes time to craft some incredible drinks that were tasty, strong and the perfect ending to a day on the beach. We made friends there from all over the island since they, like we went there almost every night (at least for drinks). Great happy hour drink specials---try the daily martini specials and the Mai Tai was the best I have ever had--by far! Excellent local beef and fish at prices that were far more reasonable than we expected. Just trying to find a way to get back soon! read more

Truly an "Oasis" for food! We ate there on Saturday February 12, 2011. It was fantastic! From the Ahi with Truffle and soy to the Waimea prawns, Kevin's Catch and Pau'uilo tenderloin - it was all conceived and prepared perfectly, and the wine pairings while limited were spot on. The wait staff were well informed and genuinely interested in our experience and the food. This place is inside a beachfront resort. They have dedicated free beach access parking . The food and drinks very good, try the lilikoi martini and the arugula salad with yellowfin tuna. We have been staying at the resort for a little over a week now, able to see the restaurant from our lanai. A couple of mornings ago we stopped in for breakfast and found a limited menu, a server with a poor memory and the rest of the staff standing around looking at their phones and talking with each other. I feel the prices are out of line with what they are serving and there needs to be some changes-probably management. Reading other reviews I see that some dishes are cold. The reason is that they are cooked off-site in a shack closer to the resort entrance. If the runners would pick up the food sooner and cover it while transporting, it would help. read more

This place is terrible. the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it's conveniently located at the resort we were staying at and it has an ocean view. I was excited to see that there was this beautiful restaurant at our condo resort but questioned going because it was not recommended by the owner of the condo we rented from. He had an excellent list of all the places to eat at and see but the Oasis on the beach wasn't on the list and I now know why. We had an 8pm reservation which we made on time and we're quickly sat down at a great table for our party of 7 unfortunately the excitement of being at this beautiful restaurant did not last... 2 of us at the table waited for drinks and we're only delivered after bringing this to the waitress's attention. she was very rude when taking our order. she forgot our appetizers.... our salads came out with our dinner. My seared fish was well done. She never checked on us. We waved her down for refills at which she replied we charge for refills. Ok? Really. We're dropping $500 on dinner...and to top it off when I went to pay she questioned my Hawaiian airlines credit card... asking me how I got the card? Then telling me it was declined and seconds later she said it went through. it was weird. Also they had an automatic gratuity built in because of our party size. With that we should have had great service. We did not. Our week long stay in Kaua'i was amazing and that was the only place we visited that I would not recommend and will not be returning to. Minutes down the road is Sams Ocean view and it was delicious and the service was stellar. Lava lava beach club was also epic and both within minutes of the resort. read more

Big 0 stars if I could for the Oasis Happy Hour on the Beach. This rating is ONLY for the Happy Hour as we didn't order from their overpriced menu with all the great other local places around that are much cheaper and likely better quality based on my experience with their so called Signature Cocktails. So you're suppose to get 1/2 off their $12 signature cocktails but when you get the cocktail it's basically 1/2 the size of what it really should be so there's NO savings at all and they are very light on the alcohol. I felt nothing after having one of their drinks. The ONLY good thing about this place is the view but you can get a better view from some other places without paying for overpriced drinks and food. Brenneke's in Poipu is one of them as is the Hookilau just down the road from Oasis. If you want a pretty good happy hour and don't care so much for the beach view then you can hit Wahoo which truly has a Happy Hour and $3 ahi poke tacos... YUM!!! read more

But then, the most wonderfully skilled waiter arrived at our table and so passionately described the food and its local origin that we decided to stay. Ordered the following deliciousness: - calamari (spicy, great mix of flavors and texture) - grilled kale salad with roasted shallots and whipped Brie - burger with bacon jam, Dijon mustard, cheese - SO good - pumpkin mash - bacon truffle fried rice Packed filled with flavor and great customer service. One of my favorite spots to eat while in Kauai, so good that we went back for brunch the next morning. The service was good, and a decent space. The atmosphere is nice, and the view of the ocean is stunning if you go during daylight or sunset. Hardest + tastiest drinks on the island thus far, not watered down at all! One was seriously enough. I had the awesome grilled kale salad. The croutons seemed a little strange at first but the added crunch and homemade goodness were perfect. The appetizer Tartar and Pork Potstickers were first rate, fish entries were cooked perfectly and the Kauai Beef fillet was outstanding. Dessert is worth saving room for. We were tasting Mai Tai's from around the Island and Oasis came in #1. Our final evening the Head Chef (Sean) come out to visit at our request and couldn't have been nicer. You really can't get any closer to the beach when dining here, so the views are fantastic. Our waiter who's name I can't remember was very nice and provided us with excellent and attentive service. The food was pretty excellent, we shared the Caprese Salad and Prawns. The Caprese Salad had very fresh tomatoes, served with goat cheese and pesto. I was slightly disappointed with the pesto as I love fresh basil. Nonetheless it was still tasty. The Prawns were good but came with their heads attached, something I wasn't expecting. The food was over priced for their tiny portions. I wouldn't recommend eating here for dinner but a nice and pricey place for Happy Hour. read more

We just arrived on Kauai and on our way to Princeville and based on the Yelp reviews decided to give it a try. We arrived at 2:00 and lunch goes until 3. It took about 15 min to get seated, no problem. It took another 20 min for our server to come and take our order. It wasn't very busy and we probably should've got up and left but were already 30 plus minutes in, so....The food was blah. I ordered the fish tacos, I mean we are in Kauai so they've got to be good, right? Nah. Cold with ONE finger length piece of fish on each(there were two). Very disappointing. My husband ordered the pulled pork- it was dried out and flavorless. Our college age sons ordered the Phillies cheesesteaks which were hamburger meat mixed with onion and cheese on it. While it was filling it was meh. Do yourself a favor and drive on to chicken in a barrel. read more

This place is another example of a pretty basic breakfast which is elevated by the view. It is located right on the beach with a nice breeze. There was a Monk seal napping on the sand right in front of us during our meal. I had an omelet with potatoes and my wife had a Benedict. Both were average. Very nice view of the ocean. Great drinks (the Mai Tai is the best I've had anywhere) and great food. Their seared ahi with Okinawan potato puree is one of the best dishes on the island. The Okinawan chips is to die for. Staff is friendly and wonderful and is knowledgable of anything on the menu. Fresh ingredients and straight from the farmers market (I've seen some of the staff during my visit to the Wednesday market in Kapaa) Would come here often. read more
