We had happy hour here during our stay at the Kauai Beach Resort, mostly because we were on our last night there and we didn't have a car. My husband and I split the fish dish, which was delicious, and the kids both had the chicken fingers which they enjoyed. I felt The drink options on the happy hour menu were pretty limited. I expected there to be more of a difference between the prices on their regular menu and the happy hour menu. When our server brought the bill, she didn't ring up the happy hour prices, so we had to remind her of that, and it was only a difference of three dollars. It's a pretty restaurant, but they just started construction when we visited at the beginning of October '25, and the only way back into the hotel from the pool was through this restaurant which was kind of weird. Overall, good food and a decent place to eat if you're staying at the hotel, but it wouldn't be my first choice restaurant. read more

Had a dinner here and also breakfast. Sat outside both times. The waterfall and beautiful flowers made a great and relaxing view. For dinner we split a beet salad and steak. The beet salad wasn't quite what we were expecting...not a lot of beets. Also the crunchy fried feta on top was good but I would have preferred to have it mixed in with the salad and not just on top. Steak was fantastic and sides were too. They missed a little on the poached egg as you can see in pics but it still tasted good. The waffle was good. The coconut syrup made this dish tho. We had a great experience in Naupaka for my husband's and my birthday dinner. We are staying at the outrigger and wanted a fancy dinner for our birthdays. Our server was so friendly and very prompt with service& always checking in. We sat outside with a gorgeous view and it was very relaxing. Our food was SO good. Naupaka Terrace rates a solid 4.5 stars ! Located at the Kaua'i Beach Resort. Lovely indoor and outdoor dining options overviewing pool area of the resort. Menu is simple with quite a few options that all sounded very yummy! Decided on two smaller plates to make an entree which was the perfect amount. Shrimp ceviche and Kale & Quinoa salad 4/5! Shrimp was great with tropical flavors, was not the biggest fan of the potato chips served with the ceviche. Kale salad had lots of flavor, simple ingredients but overall enjoyed every bite of it. Prices are fair, a lot of reviews claim they added a 18% tip gratuity automatically but not in my case. Service was friendly and checked on multiple times throughout the meal. Our waitress was amazing and took care of us so well. She brought us some Mai Tais that were quite tasty. For our second round, we asked for something different but "Hawaiian" and she brought us one amazing drink that for the life of me I can't remember its name. Look at the picture to see how delicious it is! :) I ordered the seared tuna which was fire! Perfectly seared and coupled with a crazy good dipping sauce, it couldn't have been any better. My wife enjoyed a fantastic rib-eye. Having four cocktails and two dinner plates, the tab was a little expensive but this is to be expected at a hotel restaurant. I was nervous about the negative reviews, but we had an amazing time. We made a late reservation for 7:15p and we're seated within 5 minutes, were introduced to our server and given waters right away. She came back for the drink order and those came back super fast. They only had 2 servers for the evening and we didn't feel like they were lagging or rude. Food: the onion soup was yummy, not overpowering with onion and spices like some can be. My husband had the steak and he gave it a 3/5. But the winner was my Huli Huli chicken. Great portion for the price, incredibly juicy and full of flavor. The smashed potato was amazing and enjoyed the green beans too. It is a little pricey- but it's a restaurant on the resort.... So expecting it to be "cheap" is a little silly. I would also recommend sitting outside. Nice ocean breeze while looking towards the pool area. If it's windy, I would bring a light shawl... it got a bit chilly. Me and my significant other stayed at the Outrigger Hotel in Kauai for our little vacation away from Oahu. We decided to try the Naupaka Terrace and I would from personal experience it was a wait and hard to get in but despite that I still recommend this place just be patient and communicate with the desk + booking online. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming when we were there. Even set the mood for a date night. We both really appreciate the aunty that helped us at the front counter she communicated well with us due to it being our first time here and still figuring out how for do it and aunty was very kind & patient same goes for our waitress who helped and communicated and gave some recommendations for dessert in which we got the an ice cream cake with vanilla and coffee and cream at the top I believe. Our food and the drinks were to our liking and didn't have any issues with our dishes. We can definitely say we enjoyed this place. read more

They need to update the posters that are all over the hotel and website of the hotel and lower the price to match what they offer. It was terrible. The service was ok - I couldn't tell who was the actually server but each person was kind. Then some random lady walked by and ask how we are doing and just kept on moving, not sure what that was about but she was dressed differently from the restaurant staff. The restaurant's interior is beautiful and the location sits along side the Outrigger Beach. You can hear the live music from Shutter's Lounge. The outside terrace was pleasant especially tonight. We ordered the udon noodles and I didn't realize it was saturated in sauce and the added the ahi tuna. The presentation wasn't so great and overly sauces, almost thought it was served as a soup dish instead of pan fried noodles. The pork chop skillet was juicy and delicious. Being that we flew in from Oahu the morning of and were staying at the Kauai Beach Resort, knew this restaurant would be the restaurant of choice due to convenience and comfortableness. Check in was a breeze. Walked up to the hostess podium and was quickly acknowledged. We chose to sit outdoors, which I'm glad we did. Weather was perfectly breezy with tranquil views of the pool and ocean in the distance, coupled with the koi pond and the last lights of the day fading away. Our waiter was amazing; very approachable and engaging. When he found out we were from out of town, he was sweet to take his time to offer recommendations on local attractions. The other team members who tended to our table at various interims were all warm and welcoming as well. For food, we decided to stick to the "small plates" options along with their sides and cocktails. My husband and I stayed at the Outrigger for my cousin's wedding. The servers at the restaurant are really friendly. However the service is really, really slow. The first night we ate here, my cousin actually never got to order because she ended up having to leave before our order was taken due to having to work in the morning. During breakfast my husband had 2 omelets from the buffet before our drinks were served. The food itself is okay. The prices are high for the quality of food. Since my husband, our 7 year old, and I stayed at Kauai Beach Resort, we ate at the onsite restaurant several times out of convenience. In this area, you have to drive quite a distance to reach any other eateries. I didn't really want to eat here because of how Resort restaurants are always overpriced, but it was just an elevator ride down. The breakfast buffet was around $25/adult and $13/kids. Upon check in at the resort, we were given two $5 off adult buffet coupons so that was cool. The buffet was very basic with maybe the POG juice, fried rice and Portuguese sausage as the only items that gave it an island flair. I opted to order off the menu the next time we had breakfast there and I got the sweet potato skillet. It wasn't what I expected. I thought I was going to get cut up sweet potatoes, maybe even some of the exotic purple Hawaiian ones. Unfortunately I got regular potatoes with frozen sweet potato fries added around my dish! I was not a fan. My husband really wanted their Saturday night Crab and Prime Rib buffet but looking at their spread as we were waiting for a table, I opted not to pay the whopping $65/person. I love my desserts but their desserts at the buffet weren't even anything special. Brownies and soft serve ice cream. For $65, throw in some chocolate haupia pie! Yum! I ordered the furikake crusted salmon off the menu and that was delicious, which is why this review even has 3 stars. Another good thing about this place is that kids get a free entree off the kids menu, with the purchase of an adult entree or buffet. My daughter got a cheeseburger and fries. She pouted because she really wanted the buffet too, but I think kids are charged $35 and she's not a big eater. Just a note that kids don't get a free entree though, if adults use the "$5/off adult buffet" coupons. We had determined after the fact, that it's a better deal to pay full price for the buffets while she gets the free entree but...we were on vacation so whatever! read more

The restaurant in our own resort was full , so we made reservation here. No valet parking if you are not staying guest. The parking lot was full and we had to walk in the rain to the restaurant. The Server forgot to bring up my kid's order until the dinner is almost done and she still waiting for her food. At the end, We were charged $50 extra for other table's drink. We had to speak manager to correct our bill. The manager was nice and apologetic , saying it was short of staff . One week night we waited about 45 min to get seated because they were so understaffed. The restaurant was not even busy, just not enough people working. My husband and I really did not like the fact that there is a 18% gratuity automatically included into the bill. We should be allowed to determine the tip based on our service.
