Catch or the day with pineapple salsa

We had a great experience in Naupaka for my husband's and my birthday dinner. We are staying at the outrigger and wanted a fancy dinner for our birthdays. Our server was so friendly and very prompt with service& always checking in. We sat outside with a gorgeous view and it was very relaxing. Our food was SO good. I got the catch of the day and my husband got the pork chop. We also had the crab cakes. No complaints. And I will say I am a picky eater/ food critic lol Will definitely return!

We love Kauai Beach Resort! We usually frequent Shutters when visiting but they were closed for renovations. Made way to Naupaka Terrace two nights this trip for dinner and it did not disappoint. The hospitality shown by Leyland, Ryland, and Gina always make us feel right at home.

We ate here for breakfast every morning and had dinner our first night of our arrival. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is great. We loved the avocado toast and omelettes.

Naupaka Terrace rates a solid 4.5 stars ! Located at the Kaua'i Beach Resort. Lovely indoor and outdoor dining options overviewing pool area of the resort. Menu is simple with quite a few options that all sounded very yummy! Decided on two smaller plates to make an entree which was the perfect amount. Shrimp ceviche and Kale & Quinoa salad 4/5! Shrimp was great with tropical flavors, was not the biggest fan of the potato chips served with the ceviche. Kale salad had lots of flavor, simple ingredients but overall enjoyed every bite of it. Prices are fair, a lot of reviews claim they added a 18% tip gratuity automatically but not in my case. Service was friendly and checked on multiple times throughout the meal. Received food in a quickly manner as well. Will be back to enjoy more !

We had breakfast this morning. Went for the breakfast buffet. Service was okay but a bit hectic for the waiter. Ordered coffee and juice but it never came so I asked a passing worker, I think she was the restaurant manager. She got those for us. Went to the buffer, the selections wasn't large but it was enough for a light breakfast. They had a omelet station but we didn't order any. The food seemed in good quality, not stale. Fruits were freshly cut. Lots of birds and a resident young rooster came for food. They serve breakfast but not sure about lunch.

My wife and I ate at the Naupaka Terrace the night we arrived in Kauai being it was just a short walk from our hotel. We were the first to arrive for the evening and were seated outside next to the koi pond. The view looks into the pool area of the Outdiggers Resort which is beautiful. Our waitress was amazing and took care of us so well. She brought us some Mai Tais that were quite tasty. For our second round, we asked for something different but "Hawaiian" and she brought us one amazing drink that for the life of me I can't remember its name. Look at the picture to see how delicious it is! :) I ordered the seared tuna which was fire! Perfectly seared and coupled with a crazy good dipping sauce, it couldn't have been any better. My wife enjoyed a fantastic rib-eye. Having four cocktails and two dinner plates, the tab was a little expensive but this is to be expected at a hotel restaurant. The food was good, the drinks fantastic, and the service the best, so I wasn't disappointed at all.

Staff is really friendly, however, the service was a little slow in taking out orders. Then when the food came out, the server wasn't sure who ordered what. The food was good. I ordered the brioche french toast with a side of chicken sausage and it tasted great. The berries were fresh and the French toast was fluffy and light. The ambiance was very quiet. It wasn't busy at all when we went. Definitely open to giving this restaurant another try.

We stayed at the hotel and after a long day wanted to dine someplace close. This place had decent reviews and the food pics looked okay... Ordered a variety of items. Overall all the food was good for hotel food, pricing was fair. Service was terrible. It seemed our waitress didn't want to service us. She hardly checked on us besides to take our partial initial order (had to flag her down to have her take the rest of our parties order) and to give us our check. Overall it's not a destination location but a decent option if you're staying in the hotel.

Maui Onion Soup - yummy :)

I was nervous about the negative reviews, but we had an amazing time. We made a late reservation for 7:15p and we're seated within 5 minutes, were introduced to our server and given waters right away. She came back for the drink order and those came back super fast. They only had 2 servers for the evening and we didn't feel like they were lagging or rude. Food: the onion soup was yummy, not overpowering with onion and spices like some can be. My husband had the steak and he gave it a 3/5. But the winner was my Huli Huli chicken. Great portion for the price, incredibly juicy and full of flavor. The smashed potato was amazing and enjoyed the green beans too. It is a little pricey- but it's a restaurant on the resort.... So expecting it to be "cheap" is a little silly. I would also recommend sitting outside. Nice ocean breeze while looking towards the pool area. If it's windy, I would bring a light shawl... it got a bit chilly. The palo-naah mocktail really taste like a Paloma!

Me and my significant other stayed at the Outrigger Hotel in Kauai for our little vacation away from Oahu. We decided to try the Naupaka Terrace and I would from personal experience it was a wait and hard to get in but despite that I still recommend this place just be patient and communicate with the desk + booking online. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming when we were there. Even set the mood for a date night. We both really appreciate the aunty that helped us at the front counter she communicated well with us due to it being our first time here and still figuring out how for do it and aunty was very kind & patient same goes for our waitress who helped and communicated and gave some recommendations for dessert in which we got the an ice cream cake with vanilla and coffee and cream at the top I believe. Our food and the drinks were to our liking and didn't have any issues with our dishes. We can definitely say we enjoyed this place.

Love the atmosphere but I did not like my breakfast. I'm not a big meat eater...... so if you are you'd probably go nuts for the omelet. Mine had so much meat I couldn't taste anything else. Maybe if I had gone for the veggie it would have been better. I'll definitely give this place another try since I'm here so much. But not this omelette

Wow it's been almost 4 years since we ate here!..As you all know Covid screwed up everything!.So when we found out that their breakfast buffet is back.We had to definitely go!.So when we got there we were expecting it to be very Bz but surprisingly it quite slow.Which it was great! No line no wait perfect!..So we were seated and placed our order for our drinks then proceeded to the buffet line.Holy moly we were very disappointed.I guess we were expecting it to be like before they closed down. The Choices became very limited..No bacon,No Portuguese sausage,No smoked salmon,Bagel station, make your own cereal,Waffles,n no omelette station!.Also the price went up to $35 a person.Luckily we are residents so we got a discount. But although they didn't have all the normal choices. The food was still good!.I enjoyed making my own yogurt bowl. Also the fruits were flavorful n fresh. The chicken sausage had a good flavor but sadly the pancakes weren't very good. They were dry.The biscuits were dry also. The gravy that supposed to accompany biscuits were salty. The eggs was okay. With that being said At this point I probably will be going back. But not for the buffet. We probably will be ordering off the menu. Also the service was good but the person that was maintaining the food line was not so friendly..Maybe it's one of those bad morning??.

We went on a Saturday around lunchtime and it wasn't too busy. There is a small parking lot near the restaurant on the left hand side. It was filled when we first got there, but we were luckily able to get a spot. I could see this lot filling up quickly during other meal rush hours, so do take note if you plan on driving. The ordering is done like your typical poke place, you tell the service worker what you would like and there's a small toppings bar at the end before the cashier. There was a small line when we went, and even with the line, it still only took about 5-10 minutes to get our food. There isn't interior seating in the restaurant though, you will have to get your food take out, or just eat in the parking lot. I got the 3 scoops of poke option for $15.25, and I think that this is a pretty solid deal for the variety of fish that you can try out! I think based on my personal experience on Kaua'i, it will be difficult to get food, especially poke at a reasonable price. But for this price, it's probably the best place on the island to get poke without paying $20+ for the same variety. The fish tasted fresh, and I am a fan of the selection of toppings they had. If you are in the Lihue area and looking to try some poke at a reasonable price, I would recommend The Fish Express! There seems to be a decent amount of other interesting looking options on the menu, and if I'm ever in the area again, I would totally give them a try!

For many years, Merriman's held the top spot for Mai Tais on the islands for me, but Hualani's just stole the crown, in this reviewer's humble opinion. Perfectly balanced with an out of this world macadamia nut dusted rim. And it's a truly special restaurant too. It's the first place we go when we land, tucked in The Timbers close the airport, you can go from airport to relaxing poolside with a spectacular view in 5 minutes. Service is absolutely top notch - every server, every bartender, every person we spoke to on property was a seasoned pro and a delight to interact with. The food is spectacular. We've had a few items over the years that we just can't get out of our head, the crispy rice poke and the short rib potstickers especially. It's not an inexpensive meal, but if you think of it as renting yourself an hour or two of unpretentious luxury, it's a screaming deal.
